Above ALL else, the members of Fleetwood Mac are consummate performers. Regardless of the drama, the band went on, and it was the thing they all knew was worth every effort to keep going. And they admired each other's talent, regardless of the romantic mess they had made. ❤️
The band wrote a lot of songs about each other. I've never seen another group of people who are so willing to lean into the pain, and the trauma, using it as a way to turbocharge their art. The two of them know what's going on here, and neither of them runs from it. They embrace it, and feed off of it, and funnel all of that emotion into the performance. It's an amazing thing to watch.
There's a lot of misconceptions about Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham relationship. The simplest way to put it was toxic. Both parties at fault. Every reaction channel talks of how she made him play guitar to this song but she also had to sing along to Go your own way. As for the cheating remark, they both cheated on each other, that's why it was toxic.
Stevie had to sing backup on I'm So Afraid which was a Buckingham song aimed at Stevie. Lindsey would stretch that 4 minute song about Stevie to almost 10 minutes with an agonizing guitar solo showing the whole world every concert what Stevie made him feel like. Very AFRAID.
@@michaelvielhaber9342 I'm So Afraid was on their first Fleetwood Mac album and even though it's not directly aimed at Stevie, I think he was very afraid of Stevie because he knew her more than anyone in the world at that time. One of my favorite reactions of yours! The dynamics between Stevie and Lindsey is quite remarkable. They put their feelings about each other into painful but beautiful songs! Thx again Biss! You are so freaking cool.
The excellent parts for me on this is that from a musical perspective, Lindsay wrote a melancholy and regretful solo, and also did most of the musical arrangements. So the mutual engagement is both of them using old feelings to channel emotional engagement for the performance, much like actors do. Had to be draining to both to do that every night, but did it for the performance, so serious props to both, knowing that seeking out reliving it was hard but necessary for their best story telling
There is a collage of videos of them performing the song where one or the other wasn't able to finish. So many times they just wound up in each other's arms holding onto each other

Beautiful song, & a very memorable performance. You could cut the tension with a knife with that one. What a great counter song to “ you can go your own way”. The last 5 seconds of the song tell it all ! She hurt singing that ! She is exhausted , she fired it at him 25 + years later , no change , she will never ever forgive him! We all know that, and the bit " was it worth it " only Lindsay Buckingham knows that !
Fleetwood Mac has a lot of great songs, but this one is my favorite. By the lyrics and her voice, you can tell all the hard feelings she went through. Her heart is revealed within the song.
Biss! Lindsay was also staring at Stevie here--they both were giving the evil eye! Thet were playing up the drama for thew song but it also was real. In real life they BOTH were responsible for their break-up
I'm so glad you're into this band the rumors album was one of their biggest albums one of my favorite bands hope you still keep doing reactions great band Bis❤😂 There's lots of documentaries out there with this band I wonder if it's possible to put that on UA-cam
When I first started listening to Fleetwood Mac, I obviously became aware of this song, but never really listened to the lyrics. The song sounds all light and airy, but the lyrics are so dark and sinister. Amazing. Another great Fleetwood Mac song to react to would be Seven Wonders.
Hi Bisscute, I'm glad you continue to react to Fleetwood Mac, particularly the song Silver Springs, which was solidified when the band performed it at their reunion concert The Dance in 1997, with Nicks and Buckingham facing off on stage, with an evident emotional tension between them. Silver Springs is melodic and nostalgic, reflecting an atmosphere that intensifies as the song progresses, as we could see. Nicks' voice, although soft, is charged with emotion, transmitting both vulnerability and great silent strength, complemented by Buckingham's guitar and instrumental arrangements that complement the depth of the lyrics. For a next reaction, could you do it with Deep Purple performing Moke on the Water? Greetings and a hug from Mexico City.
They were all young and in love and experienced a lifetime worth of memories in a very short time. when they get back together when you're older and all those memories come rushing back and you can't help but act upon them. Play love each other yeah they hate each other but the love wins in the end
The best Fleetwood Mac song in my opinion! That song should have been on Rumours. I cracked up when Biss said “He may be a cheater but he is a great guitar playing cheater!”
They both wrote songs about each other & they're breakup so we get to hear both sides. Silver Springs was a beautiful place they drove to one day when they were still not famous & together & she liked that day so much she used it as a metaphor. Blue green colors flashing I guess is what the water looked like. Took me a while to figure out what she meant. That's a great writer coloring a song with a picture of the setting.
Wow, your reaction was so real. I could feel it in how you described the on stage chemistry. Brava! Oh, and Stevie's performance is not just singing; it's like flying.
Great pain brought great hits for them. I think when its personal, the emotion pours out in the song. Sadly Christine McVie, the pianist died in November 2022. This song was in response to Lindsays song Go your own way which was a mega hit for them. However, this song was not allowed. Its 20 years later now, so you can imagine the anger and hurt was released finally. Later he kisses her on the cheek and said he still loves her. Made it all worth it.
Its an incredible song and they are an incredible band, who despite all the drama of the two couples breaking up, all cheating on each other, Mick Fleetwood was going through a divorce and for a little while was sleeping with Stevie Nicks. I don't know how they never broke up as a band, but they didn't and produced some amazing music. Loved your reaction and passion as always!
Mick had just re-married Jenny - with Lindsey as Best Man - when he started a year long affair with Nicks who was also seeing other people. That affair caused the 2nd divorce.
This was the first time the song had ever been played live by the core band since Stevie wrote it back in 1977. Her crying was due to how deeply she cared for the song and how badly she felt betrayed by Mic for keeping it out of live performances and the album Rumors.
LOL😂 That was the best reaction I ever listen.... you can't stand how they cheat all of them in all ways possible and still performing together with fury in the eyes and the drummer laughing of all the confusion that they made together... I think this group could be named "Caligula"... it's only missing a horse!😂
They had a bad relationship but loved each other. And the Group as a whole. Success and tumultuous relationships almost broke them up permanently. But they gained wisdom a few years removed from break/not performing together. You NEED to Order Fleetwood Mac The Dance Special edition has DVD of performance and it was after they made up and could tell they Genuinely loved performing together again.
honestly the chorus fits me so well. my now ex decided to think the grass was greener with someone that was clearly not. kind of a good line for that part of time cast a spell on u.
Back in the 70's record albums (tapes, 8 tracks) had a limited amount of music you could put on them ((45 mins or so). When Fleetwood Mac recorded "Rumours", there was supposed to be TWO breakup songs between (Lindsey Buckingham) "Go Your Own Way" and (Stevie Nicks) "Silver Springs". both songs were written from their own perspective of their breakup. A song needed to be cut for the album, and sadly it was Silver Springs. Some years later the song showed up in other albums but none more prominent than THIS concert footage from "The Dance" which is a MUST OWN DVD. Thanks Biss!!
Dreams is a break up song. Gold Dust Woman also has elements there though Stevie has about a half dozen explanations for the song. Second Hand News, Never Going Back Again and even the fun I Don' Wanna Know - all songs on the break up spectrum. And of course The Chain - where she wrote the chorus lyrics and he the verses.
Keep in mind, this era and time frame was all about the music. To the artists of the time everything outside the music was secondary in their lives. Fleetwood Mac was one of the top 3 bands to come out of the 1970s. They ruled the music world for a long time. This whole concert is this good. IT's called "The Dance" and was held and recorded in Burbank CA in 1997. Fantastic audio and video and a stunning set list. The dynamic and vibes you see and sense between Stevie and Lindsey were there through the night. Wait till you see "Go Your Own Way" later on in the concert. Talk about intense - WHOA
First her song Dreams that was about him, then this when she was over him, then his response, in song Go Your Own Way, meaning Stevie! The album was Rumours, 90% of songs in it about each other, besides being great songs, the drama and all playing and singing was not like any other, so both reasons are why thought of as a top 10 album of all time. Lindsey's reaction to this song was decades after, and in concerts, the final song in each, those two singing his words.called Say Goodbye on final album , Say You Will, 2003. There is a documentary of Say You Will on UA-cam, look for it and watch, shows them with drama talks, album's awesome songs. Looking as beautiful as ever 😍
The Rumors album is about all of their dysfunctional relationships within the band. Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham's problems, and Christine McVie and John McVie's problems. Mick Fleetwood and Stevie even had a brief affair. All in a swirl of cocaine induced immoderation during the writing and recording of the album. It's amazing how all of this dysfunction created such an iconic and timeless album. Artists don't write them like this anymore, at least not of this caliber
Now this is one time that a "Live" performance is better than the just the audio! Funny this song was the flip side of a single where Lindsey sang 'Go Your Own Way". Two sides of the breakup. Bisscute, Stevie and Lindsey Buckingham (Guitarist) had recently joined the band and had just one album before with the band album "Rumours" came out. I think Stevie got over it with the help of an affair with the drummer Mick Fleetwood. Also, Christine and John McVie were getting a divorce. React to "You Make Lovin' Fun" and "Don't Stop" with Christine the prime vocalist. I like how you were giving a look to the camera like Stevie was giving a look to Lindsey! 😂
This was a fun reaction. :) A couple comments: 1. The vocal harmonies on the chorus are my favorites of anything I've heard, just breathtakingly beautiful. 2. They are incredible together, and as musicians they know they are incredible together, so I think part of why they kept performing together was to serve the music. It's a "you done me wrong" song, and a curse that came true, but even in this song she gives him room to shine by leaving space for that solo. 3. I've read that Stevie feels this is they best song she has ever written. 4. I've also read that they had done the song a couple of times before this recording, and Stevie was unhappy with it and her performance of it. It was Lindsey who got her to look at him and that's what drew this performance out of her and the band. Again, screw our feelings, the music comes first. 5. The performance of "The Chain" you reacted to is from the same concert, and it's Lindsey singing to Stevie. You should watch them back to back just for yourself. I think you'd have fun with it. What I'd like to see next, a reaction to this: ua-cam.com/video/goKM7jsOwrg/v-deo.html Rhiannon live in 1976 on the tv show "The Midnight Special". I slightly prefer this as a live performance to Silver Springs, Stevie is incredible here, especially at the end of the song. I've read Stevie changed how she sang sometime after this since it was putting too much strain on her voice. It's also another song where she gave everyone else time to solo and shine as musicians.
Lindsey wrote “Go Your Own Way” to diss Stevie. She wrote “Silver Springs” to diss Lindsey. Then Mick intentionally refused to put Silver Springs on the album. This performance is iconic because Stevie finally got her time to shine and she performed the crap out of it. Lindsey finally turned to her and was like, ok, give it to me. I deserve it. The looks are piercing. Fleetwood Mac is the biggest soap opera in rock music. She’s a 👑!
If I was an executive at Warner Bros. Records, Silver Springs would be the A side of a single and forced on the album replacing Gold Dust Woman which would be the non album B side of Silver Springs.
A perfect breakup song that was left off of a perfect breakup album. It's crazy the record company left this song off of Rumours, only for it to be grammy nominated from this very performance around 20 years after Rumours was released.
It was too long in a group of very long Stevie songs. Even though about 30 years later they added it to the CD it still does not fit on the re-released vinyl.
I mean the run time for my Rumours vinyl is just under 39 min, and Stevie only wrote 3 of the songs on the album plus her credit on The Chain. I feel like they could've squeezed it in. I'd have rather seen Never Going Back Again as the B-side to Go Your Own Way to keep this song on the record. Since Stevie has said that leaving Silver Springs out added to the tension in the band, I've always thought the band members had a say in leaving it out but it doesn't really matter anymore...gotta just be glad we got to hear it :)
@@Damkohler11 Lindsey's 3 solo songs totaled under 9 minutes - less than Dreams & GDW combined. She wrote looooong songs. Even longer when she brought them to the band as sparse piano demos. SS was 10 minutes long and GDW 12. She refused to have them cut further. Buckingham spent 5 months composing music for, arranging and producing SS. You think there wouldn't be tension in the band if Buckingham who was doing the lions share of the work had his 2.11min genius song cut so Stevie could have another 5 min behemoth on the album instead? Heh.
This is the best reaction. Mick having the time of his life on the drums, Lindsey playing at his own funeral😂 Girl you nailed it all. This performance was a bit too intimate and private for MTv but we got to witness it. Absolute power move for Stevie, 20 years in the making.👏👏👏👏👏👏

first time i listen the song , even her ... 😂😂 but what makes it hilarious , is your comments 😂😂👏👏👏👏👏😎😎😎😎🫶🏻🫶🏻
The last 5 seconds of the song tell it all ! She hurt singing that ! She is exhausted , she fired it at him 25 + years later , no change , she will never ever forgive him! We all know that, and the bit " was it worth it " only Lindsay Buckingham knows that !
Forgive him? She went and dated the world
❤❤❤ hola biss. Que Buenos músicos destacó el bajo y el piano y ella una vos angelical. Abrazo ❤🤗
Just saw a shirt with an old picture of Stevie on the front, and the lyrics to Silver Springs on the back. It’s pretty cool
In real life they BOTH were responsible for their break-up
I'm so glad you're into this band the rumors album was one of their biggest albums one of my favorite bands hope you still keep doing reactions great band Bis❤😂
There's lots of documentaries out there with this band I wonder if it's possible to put that on UA-cam
Thank youu
When I first started listening to Fleetwood Mac, I obviously became aware of this song, but never really listened to the lyrics. The song sounds all light and airy, but the lyrics are so dark and sinister. Amazing. Another great Fleetwood Mac song to react to would be Seven Wonders.
Thanks, I will add it to the list
One of my all time favorite songs!!! I love it!
Thank youu
What a great reaction. You had me Rolling on the floor...
Thanks, I will add it to the list
This was a great live performance. This concert was top notch.
They were all young and in love and experienced a lifetime worth of memories in a very short time. when they get back together when you're older and all those memories come rushing back and you can't help but act upon them. Play love each other yeah they hate each other but the love wins in the end
Fantastic reaction! You nailed it!
Thank youu
This is, by far, your funniest video😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂LMAO!
Great reaction, looking forward to you watching Landslide, another classic song!
Thank youu
Great pain brought great hits for them. I think when its personal, the emotion pours out in the song. Sadly Christine McVie, the pianist died in November 2022. This song was in response to Lindsays song Go your own way which was a mega hit for them. However, this song was not allowed. Its 20 years later now, so you can imagine the anger and hurt was released finally. Later he kisses her on the cheek and said he still loves her. Made it all worth it.
The only song I know of that references my home state of Maryland. Your reaction to all the drama is fantastic.
Thank youu
Its an incredible song and they are an incredible band, who despite all the drama of the two couples breaking up, all cheating on each other, Mick Fleetwood was going through a divorce and for a little while was sleeping with Stevie Nicks. I don't know how they never broke up as a band, but they didn't and produced some amazing music.
Loved your reaction and passion as always!
Thank youu
@@BisscuteReacts You are most welcome!

LOL😂
That was the best reaction I ever listen.... you can't stand how they cheat all of them in all ways possible and still performing together with fury in the eyes and the drummer laughing of all the confusion that they made together... I think this group could be named "Caligula"... it's only missing a horse!😂
Cheatwood Mac.. 😂😂😂😂
I love your videos girl, great song, what talent some have like this band from Uruguay 🇺🇾 greetings❤❤❤😊felicidades tienes un gran canal de UA-cam 😊
Thank youu
They had a bad relationship but loved each other. And the Group as a whole. Success and tumultuous relationships almost broke them up permanently. But they gained wisdom a few years removed from break/not performing together. You NEED to Order Fleetwood Mac The Dance Special edition has DVD of performance and it was after they made up and could tell they Genuinely loved performing together again.
Maybe in the future
Simply the greatest Fleetwood Mac performance.
A great song, love your reaction! ❤🙏
Thank youu
first time hearing this one from them Great song! i love your take on the song i prob would not picked up the meaning
Thank youu
honestly the chorus fits me so well. my now ex decided to think the grass was greener with someone that was clearly not. kind of a good line for that part of time cast a spell on u.
Love your enthusiasm. Instant sub. Wish you the best.
They were young, that’s what young people do ✌️
Back in the 70's record albums (tapes, 8 tracks) had a limited amount of music you could put on them ((45 mins or so).
Thank youu
😂😂😂😂 excelent comments!!!, love your accent 😊
Музыка затронула тонкие струны моей души! Очень хорошо, Miss Biss, хороший комментарий! Прекрасные эмоции! Мы любим вас! ❤️
You are the Queen of Variety!
Thank youu
The Rumors album is about all of their dysfunctional relationships within the band. Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham's problems, and Christine McVie and John McVie's problems. Mick Fleetwood and Stevie even had a brief affair. All in a swirl of cocaine induced immoderation during the writing and recording of the album. It's amazing how all of this dysfunction created such an iconic and timeless album. Artists don't write them like this anymore, at least not of this caliber
❤❤❤❤bonita canción, buen video...un abrazo🤗
Such a great reaction. 😀
At the same concert the two sing his Go Your Own Way song at each other side-eye & staredown! Compare.
You just could not be more delightful. As you know. :)
Best reaction ever!
Thank youu
Who are you comparing her reaction to then? I saw the video years ago and. I saw how they looked at each other. Then how do you know it's the best
@@roberormonde Take a pill and relax, you sound a little high strung!
@@smedleybutler1969 may be I am high strung thanks she did nail it
This was a fun reaction. :)
A couple comments:
What I'd like to see next, a reaction to this: ua-cam.com/video/goKM7jsOwrg/v-deo.html
Rhiannon live in 1976 on the tv show "The Midnight Special". I slightly prefer this as a live performance to Silver Springs, Stevie is incredible here, especially at the end of the song. I've read Stevie changed how she sang sometime after this since it was putting too much strain on her voice. It's also another song where she gave everyone else time to solo and shine as musicians.
Thank youu
Lindsey wrote “Go Your Own Way” to diss Stevie. She wrote “Silver Springs” to diss Lindsey. Then Mick intentionally refused to put Silver Springs on the album. This performance is iconic because Stevie finally got her time to shine and she performed the crap out of it. Lindsey finally turned to her and was like, ok, give it to me. I deserve it. The looks are piercing. Fleetwood Mac is the biggest soap opera in rock music.
She’s a 👑!
Hey I was going to say all of that but you beat me to it. Haha.
If I was an executive at Warner Bros. Records, Silver Springs would be the A side of a single and forced on the album replacing Gold Dust Woman which would be the non album B side of Silver Springs.
The guitarist is Lyndsey Buckingham sweetie
@@JoshSmith-wo7zw Thanks for correcting me on the name spelling. Gosh, I wouldn’t have been able to sleep tonight without that.
@@JoshSmith-wo7zwActually, dear, it's "Lindsey".
Heh.
Ah…the soap opera known as Fleetwood Mac.I just like their music and songs, and I love Bisscute. They can keep the soap opera.
It's not even a break up song. It's not a love song. It's a connection between two coworkers living crazy lives.
I heard she wrote the lyrics to the song then went down to Lindsay's room and they put the instrumental part of it together
