That is a 1979 Rick Turner Model 1-C-LB guitar. Which is designed to give the tone of an acoustic but packs some serious electronics. The only other performer I've ever seen play one is John Mayer. It has a unique sound for sure & it will cost you. A new one will set you back 7 to 9k & the older ones many times that much. Early on Lindsey played Fenders & Stratocasters but once he got the Turner it became his on stage go to guitar. I've never heard the Pumpkins cover of Landslide but I'd strongly recommend that you watch the original.
Rick's son here to say that Dad made guitars for so many people, it's unbelievable. Mom worked for the Airplane, Grateful Dead, and Doobie Brothers. Crosby was a friend of Dad's. Santana lived with my Aunt. Imagine the people that came to the house back in the day and what their input meant to his luthiery. Get your hands on one of these Model 1's, Sebs. We were fortunate to have seen Fleetwood Mac in 2008 when they were still together and they were phenomenal. The unique sound Lindsey Buckingham gets from his guitar is remarkable.
FLeetwood Mac are one of THE best live bands, I have seen them 3 times over the years and they never fail to put on an awesome show. Every song is a banger, even the ballads. You need to check out more of their stuff.
Listen to their album Rumours in its entirety! Written in the midst of drug taking and emotional turmoil on the part of all of them, it is probably their best album. You will certainly appreciate Lindsey's guitar work on Never Going Back Again, another bittersweet song about his breakup with Stevie!!
They sing it at each other and Christine on Piano also adds background. Stevie and Lindsey were breaking up during Rumours. Christine and John also broke up at the same time. Can you imagine taking a year to make this album while breaking up?
Lindsey is seriously underrated as a rock guitarist. And the guitar he's playing there is a completely custom model called the "model 1". Fleetwood Mac is a great band all around, but if you want more Lindsey-focused stuff, check out So Afraid and Big Love (solo acoustic version will blow your mind on that one.)
Lindsey plays a Rick Turner Model 1-C-LB guitar, which is a semi-hollow-body electric guitar that's designed to give a very acoustic sound. One of the unusual things about it is that the pick-up can be rotated, which changes the relationship with the strings and changes the sound. Lindsey is an unreal guitarist - all finger-plucked and he uses a combination guitar and banjo style of picking. His playing is so complex that they have to have 2 guitarists to replace him if he's unable to tour. He sometimes will play a 12-string guitar as well, again finger-plucked and played kind of banjo style. The only other guitarist that I've ever heard that can play in this style is Roger McGuinn of The Byrds (such as on the intro to Turn, Turn, Turn) from the 60s.
This was taken from their "reunion" concert called The Dance from 1997, where this lineup got back together for the first time since Lindsey left the band in 1987. The concert was released on both CD and video after It debuted on VH1.
another master class of finger picking is BIG Love from the same concert. Also if you want relationship drama watch silver springs from the same concert and watch Stevie stare down Lindsay it is quite the watch.
The guitar is a Rick Turner Model 1. It has this ability to sound acoustic at low volumes, but can scream when turned up. Turner developed the guitar specifically for Buckingham in the late 1970s, and its become Lindsey's main instrument since.
I hope no one comes for me, lol, but I really hope you listen to the studio/album version of this gem. Maybe it's this live version where people are hearing what they want to hear but for me, it really is all mushed together (in this mix). The crispness of each player in the studio version is pretty phenomenal.

Ohhh gosh the story of Lindsey and Stevie is so fiery. I don’t even know how to explain it. It’s this love hate thing. Always will be. Silver Springs is so awesome and awkward to watch them eyeballing each other. A must watch!
I've had the pleasure of seeing Lindsay perform live 5 times in my life. Three times as the classic Fleetwood grouping, and twice on a solo tour. Amazing skills.
Christine, Stevie & Lindsay provided so many different sounds from the lead singer role! They survived the test of time, truly one of the best bands ever!!
This is thier reunion concert they are much older. They swore they would never play together again. But couldn't help it's. This concert is called The dance. It is phenomenal, they only got better with age. All the hard feelings softened. And we were so glad!
Lindsey is my favorite guitarist of all time, and it's hard to choose because there are so many phenomenal players, but he is most known for his finger plucking making it sound like there's more than one guitar playing. Oh PLEASE check out his "Big Love" from this same concert with the acoustic guitar. You will be blown away. It's one of the best guitar solos in history imo.
From the same concert, do Big Love or I’m So Afraid for some major league finger plucking by Lindsey. He can play 2 and sometimes 3 parts at the same time-you’d swear there are three guitarists playing, and it’s just him. Oh yeah, and he sings while doing this. Completely self-taught, doesn’t read music. A major major talent.
The guitar is a Rick Turner Model One, designed by Rick in conjunction with Lindsay. Rick passed away in 2022. Rick was also one of the founders of Alembic guitars- bassist John McVie is a long time user of Alembic basses, as he is playing in this video.
Hi Seb, Fleetwood Mac is one of our favorite bands and Go Your Own Way is one of my husband's favorites while mine are Rhiannon and Landslide. Watching your expressions on hearing some of these bands/ singers for 1st time is priceless for someone who has listened to this music for years. I am 71 btw and love your channel.
I was lucky and blessed to see Fleetwood Mac 4 times in concert...2 times when the band was younger and 2 times when the band was older. And you are right. Because of the world situation, we will get great music again because of inspiration of my generation historical bands. Great reaction. "Silver Springs " from this live concert you need to react to....because Stevie Nick's is the star of Fleetwood Mac. 😊😊😊
I disagree. It wasn't just the artists, it was also the mindset of the generation x, we liked each other, our music, our God and our country. It's never going to be like this again. Feel blessed you lived in it.
First appearance? Wow! My friend you must listen to Big Love and I'm So Afraid from the Dance live performance. Lindsey is incredible ! Best guitar work you will here in a while. Epic
Never going back again and bleed to love her (live) are some of their most iconic songs with AMAZING fingerpicking I HIGHLY recommend you check them out! You’ll love them
It's hard to beat the energy that Fleetwood Mac brings to the stage. It's magnetic. Their internal drama did something brilliant to their sound. Every single member is a master musician in their own right. Dig into this band. You WON'T regret it.
Hey Bud. This was great. Stevie Nicks is my daughter, Tiffani's favorite singer in the whole wide world. I just finished up your STP reaction to interstate love song. So I was wondering if you wanted me to tag you in it, or how you wanted me to do that. And if you had done Hank Williams junior and Waylon Jennings yet?
Over 20 years after the release of the Rumors album and many years since the band played together, they gave such an incredible performance in "The Dance" concert. Yes, do "Silver Spring" (by Stevie) next and then "Songbird" by Christine.
Lindsey’s guitar is a custom made for him model one by Rick Turner. He passed away recently. Lindsey met him and asked him to build him a guitar that would have more punch for their live concerts. He used to play a Gibson Les Paul, but because he plays with his entire hand instead of a pick, he needed a punchier electric guitar. And yes, this is Lindsey’s angry upset break up song about Stevie who is singing along with him. Stevie wrote Dreams about Lindsey. They have written many songs about each other.
Yeah, it's complicated. lol Yes, the girl in black with long blonde hair is Stevie Nicks. The guy singing is Lindsey Buckingham. He wrote the song, they broke up and spent the next 30+ years singing their breakup song.
This video has been on my watch later list for awhile now. I'm 42, I saw this concert when i was 15 or 16... Fleetwood Mac was my very favorite band back then, I only listened to classic rock. Yes, please more Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks!
Their awesome I was lucky enough to get to see them live in the late 70's, Thank You Sir for your reaction hope you have a blessed day 👏 sending you love from Lafayette Georgia 🍑
Nice reaction to this. Fleetwood Mac was such a great part of the past. Its really sad to see these musicians go. Holding onto this past while going towards the future will have to be figured out. Im mean, we have done it ourselves but we have the real experiences too to remember. Only unity through hearfelt music by folks who loved and played hard will work. Im not convinced it can ever happen again. So hold onto the music, incorporate it in your lives and move forward too.
In my opinion, the second greatest live performance in the history of music. I've watched this concert more times than I care to admit. Thanks for reacting to this one man. Lindsey Buckingham is a great songwriter and guitarist. The entire band are flawless though, and they gel together so well. John McVie is such an underrated bass player, and Mick Fleetwood is probably my second favourite drummer. Stevie, of course, and Christine, have voices of angels. What a great band. If I could make one recommendation, it would be to listen to "Silver Springs" from this same concert. Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you and your family. Keep up the great work on the channel, it's much appreciated.
To appreciate Lindsey Buckingham's phenomenal finger picking talent "Never going back again", which he wrote for Stevie as a breakup song, is just...... Well there are no words. To play like that is one thing, but singing as well 😮. It still blows me away every time. Although it's a short song, it will not disappoint, and worthy of a reaction video. I don't think i have seen anyone react to this live version yet 😊. ua-cam.com/video/GGyCx9WgGV8/v-deo.htmlsi=ZwVsKqeYb8dIOe21 Lovin the channel.
OMG. My father was such a Stevie Nicks fan! He passed in 2006, at 59 years old, but he still had time to introduce me to the good old days of true rock music.
Fleetwood Mac is one of my all time favorite bands. I was fortunate to see them live in concert. I was fortunate to be able to see a lot of older bands in concert, such as The Eagles, The Doobie Bothers, Aerosmith, Journey, Heart, etc. Live performances were the best back then.
I saw Fleetwood Mac about 10 years ago in Vancouver 🇨🇦 They are absolutely impressive, live, saying all their hits audience sang along to a few, it was great!! I really enjoyed her personable they were as they spoke with the audience a couple of times, great vibes, legendary group
When Bob Welch left the Fleetwood Mac they were looking for a replacement. Mick Fleetwwod was also checking out new recording studios. At one the engineer played Mick a demo of a duo they had recorded called Buckingham - Nicks. Mick was blown away by the guitar playing and also the "sound" of the duet. Buckingham was contacted & offered the job but he insisted it was a "package deal" with his partner Stevie Nicks and both were hired to complete the "new sound" the band was looking for. You should react to the song "Frozen Love" by Buckingham - Nicks that got the duo the job wwith Fleetwood Mac.
Love it!! Please do I'm So Afraid from same concert. Lindsey Buckinghams guitar style is mind blowing and unique🔥🔥🔥🔥 Lindsey and Stevies relationship wows go way way back.

Three things: 1. The Guitar Lindsey is using is a Rick Turner LB (Lindsey Buckingham) Model 2. John and Christine McVie are also a huge part of the band 3. As a recommendation and if you like the sound of the guitar and the Lindsey's fingerstyle you should hear Im so afraid live 1997 The Dance. One of the best solos ever
Listen to "The Chain" it is serious rock. Lindsey Buckingham is an amazing guitar player. She had to sing that song for years and it was about her. Mic Fleetwood is the drummer. That is all Lindsey on Guitar and John Mc Vie on Bass.
I saw them in 1975 and 1977. In 75 I was shocked and how hard they rock. Totally amazed at the difference between their albums and live. A bad sign for modern music is that everything is auto tuned and pitch corrected. The emotional part of vocals is being removed.
Saw them live when Crysty Macvee rejoined group and everyone was back together before she passed and Lindsey was booted. Was like listening to them on headphones. One of the best base rithem sections in music the 3 lead singers were a truly talented but songbird by chryst was one of my favorites. Truly enjoying your channel and your journey.
Original gutariat and founder of the band in 1967, Peter Green, named his band Fleetwood Mac after the rhythm section, Mick Fleetwood & John Mcvie, who play in the live perfromance
Lindsey is playing a Rick Turner Model 1, which is famous for it's "hot humbucker" pickup. I believe it also has some sort of piezo pickup. It is a very expensive custom electric, which is used by some professionals. John Mayer plays a later version.
I had the rumors album back in the 70s and love Fleetwood Mac. Have not listened to them in a long time and when I heard the chain on guardians of the galaxy two I rediscovered how much I love Fleetwood Mac music and especially watching their live performances, Amazon prime series, daisy Jones and the six was loosely based on a book written about the relationships in the band Fleetwood Mac. And Stevie Nicks said she absolutely loved the miniseries could see herself like a mirror as the last three episodes. You can go your own way is one of my favorites by them, so so glad that you enjoyed it as well!
Stevie Nicks was my neighbor. She lived up the hill while I lived in the slightly less expensive lower part of town (still expensive enough that if I moved my $500K home from where it is now, to the same spot in Mill Valley, it'd probably be worth $2mil or close to it. Maybe more since prices were always crazy there but now they are positively insane.) When her house caught fire, I had planes fly over my house just before they dropped fire retardant. Other neighbors (same town but not same area) were David Crosby, Huey Lewis and the News (I knew all the guys pretty well, but they were not exactly "friends") and others. It wasn't unusual to take a walk downtown and run into Daryl Hannah and Jackson Browne. There was a Mexican Restaurant in town where Carlos Santana's father would play violin for the diners. I always made sure to leave him a big tip, if nothing else for the thrill of having a Santana play at my table. We had an unspoken rule never to bother these R&R legends (or their families) if they happened to have a coffee at the roastery or dinner at La Ginestra.
Mate, like you, this guitar solo style is really new to me. I'm NO guitarist but I've watched a few. Lindsey's overhand style with his right hand is more like a bassist but he absolutely shreds this solo. I've watched this over and over to see how his fingers find the notes and I'm still baffled. What a song, though, and what a performance by this fantastic band.
Check out the song “Big Love”. The whole thing is him singing and finger plucking his acoustic guitar. ua-cam.com/video/bVsxvoUX9Rw/v-deo.htmlsi=0oaebkAcJpvMnY7E

I've had the pleasure of seeing Lindsay perform live 5 times in my life. Three times as the classic Fleetwood grouping, and twice on a solo tour. Amazing skills.
Love his guitar picking in Never Going Back Again
So good
For some great finger picking, listen to Never Goin' Back Again. I'm partial to the studio version to capture every nuance. You'll love it!
Christine, Stevie & Lindsay provided so many different sounds from the lead singer role! They survived the test of time, truly one of the best bands ever!!
The live version of their song 'the Chain' is well worth the listen!
This whole concert is absolutely amazing. The way Lindsay Buckingham plays is crazy, I love it.
RIP Christine!
First appearance? Wow! My friend you must listen to Big Love and I'm So Afraid from the Dance live performance. Lindsey is incredible ! Best guitar work you will here in a while. Epic
The album made by Stevie and Lindsey before joining FWM, 'Buckingham Nicks' is one of my favorites. Great vid, Sebs. ☮💜🎶
The version of Crystal on that album is gorgeous.
Never going back again and bleed to love her (live) are some of their most iconic songs with AMAZING fingerpicking
I HIGHLY recommend you check them out! You’ll love them
They didn’t get back together, they just played in the band , you should watch silver springs, Stevie is almost yelling the lyrics at Lindsey
Lindsay's guitar: "Lindsey Buckingham is most known for playing his iconic Rick Turner Model 1-C-LB guitar. "
Bret Turner here. Can confirm.
It's hard to beat the energy that Fleetwood Mac brings to the stage. It's magnetic. Their internal drama did something brilliant to their sound. Every single member is a master musician in their own right. Dig into this band. You WON'T regret it.
thrilled you are reacting to Fleetwood Mac!
Guitar is a custom Rick Turner Model 1-C-LB semi hollow electric guitar
Ahhh- Thanks.
This is the first time I've heard the live version of this song. I've never been crazy about Fleetwood Mac live, but this is amazing!
There will never be another musical decade like the 70’s agin! 😎👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
If you want Lindsey at his best..check out I’m SO Afraid..live. The version from the Dance is great but Live From Boston is epic.
his song about her ''shacking up is all she wants to do.''
Lindsey is such an underrated guitar player. Love hearing him play.
One of the most epic albums ever made!! I still listen to it
Nice reaction to this.

Lovin the channel.
I saw Fleetwood Mac about 10 years ago in Vancouver 🇨🇦
They are absolutely impressive, live, saying all their hits audience sang along to a few, it was great!! I really enjoyed her personable they were as they spoke with the audience a couple of times, great vibes, legendary group
No computer work, all done by instruments hell yeah. u been under rock all these years. Dude
Love them! This came out the year I started high school.
Love it!! Please do I'm So Afraid from same concert. Lindsey Buckinghams guitar style is mind blowing and unique🔥🔥🔥🔥 Lindsey and Stevies relationship wows go way way back.
I'm following. Love your commentary. I was hoping you listened to the studio version first before live version since you have never heard the song or group before
I know its been said in the earlier comments, but this is like their 20th anniversary concert. Great concert!
This Was Writ ,During The Inter-Band Romance/Breakup/ Makeup Behind The Inspiration,Tears And Occasional AGNST!! FAME!!SEX DRUGS ROCK NROLL ( & Cocaine!😳 😒) What A "Soap Opera") ( After Greenie Had A Psychadelic Episode/ Breakdown!!, Etc.. 😆
They were awesome. Lucky enough to see them in concert.
Sebs, the Fleetwood Mac rabbit hole is deep. And it's incredible. Keep it going.
Only bad thing about this is the sound quality (presumably of the recording).
For more of Lindsey Buckingham's guitar playing I can only second another commenter's suggestion of Big Love.
Hermano, You've been missing out. BIG TIME!
You need a DEEP DIVE into Fleetwood Mac and also Stevie Nicks solo stuff!
Three things:
1. The Guitar Lindsey is using is a Rick Turner LB (Lindsey Buckingham) Model
2. John and Christine McVie are also a huge part of the band
If you really wanna see Lindsey at his peak, check out a live performance of Big Love.
YES!
Live Beverly Hills 2011!
I saw them in 1975 and 1977. In 75 I was shocked and how hard they rock. Totally amazed at the difference between their albums and live. A bad sign for modern music is that everything is auto tuned and pitch corrected. The emotional part of vocals is being removed.
I truly love watching these reactions videos... seeing the younger generation review all the great music that wasn't so familiar to them!!
I came back to watch this again... One of the best things is to watch Mick Fleetwood's facial expressions while drumming.
Maybe more since prices were always crazy there but now they are positively insane.)
When her house caught fire, I had planes fly over my house just before they dropped fire retardant.
Check out Lindsey's masterful guitar work on "Never Going Back Again."
Check out the song “Big Love”. The whole thing is him singing and finger plucking his acoustic guitar. ua-cam.com/video/bVsxvoUX9Rw/v-deo.htmlsi=0oaebkAcJpvMnY7E
This is an amazing live performance of an excellent song.
Lindsey is an amazing guitarist and one helluva song writer too.
Great that you were able to catch FM "magic", but if you allow me to recommend that you listen to "The Chain", one of Lindsay virtuosity pieces, absolutely AMAZING! Thank you and all the best for the New Year!
