Absolutely superb video. The pace and degree of detail is exactly correct. Picture and words used to describe every step are very clear and concise. THANK YOU!
This is a wonderful video on how to disassemble the Samsung dryer & repl the heating element! The only issue on this video that I question, is the dryer belt reinstallment. I don’t think the serpentine belt should be running groove to groove on the tensioner pulley assembly. I think if you review that portion of the video, you will see what I’m talking about.
Are you still offering for sell the complete kit? I click the link and am directed to a page that says "opening soon" and asks me to enter my email address and describe what a customer will be receiving. There seems to be an issue. But thanks for the video. Very helpful indeed!
Hi Very helpful video. I took it apart but pic I thought I captured before removing the wire harness is not there. does the heating element have polarity ? how do I determine which color goes to the top terminal- red or blue? Does it matter?
Very helpful! I tried to change the heat element with before this video and not only it didn’t get hot over there it actually became cold (?) I didn’t know what to do and then I saw this video thank god. And now it’s heating up again! Thanks, very helpful
Thanks for your video! After replacing the heating element, my dryer works, but it seems that it only runs on High Heat level. Dryer stops after a while from over heating
It sounds like the dryer vent is clogged and the airflow is very week. Make sure you can feel strong and steady airflow outside the vent while the dryer is running.
Hi Justin, you can the link to the heating element in the video's description. appliancechamps.com/collections/dryer-replacement-parts/products/samsung-whirlpool-dc47-00019a-35001247-dryer-heater
I went through and replaced everything in the kid and it still won’t heat. Prior to it no longer heating a bit of water got into the electrical socket and nearly caught fire so I had to rewire the outlet and move it above the water lines, and then had to change out the plug for the dryer. After that it turns on, and runs a cycle but won’t heat up. After checking the internet it said to replace the heating elements, thermostat, etc. i did all of that but it still just won’t heat up. Are there any other suggestions?
Hi Terry, It sounds like you replaced the heating element kit without understanding what is the actual problem. The problem might be caused by the timer, a burnt fuse at the electrical box or burnt wires inside the dryer.
Yes, this is normal. It's due to a galvanized layer applied on the coils to protect the heat element from corrosion during storage. The burnt smell won't be longer then 30 seconds.

Spent $30 bucks to do it myself instead of hiring a repair person for hundreds of dollars. Thanks!

Hi Terry,
It sounds like you replaced the heating element kit without understanding what is the actual problem.
The problem might be caused by the timer, a burnt fuse at the electrical box or burnt wires inside the dryer.
have a problem with the dryer! works but 40min goes to a 1 and stops working! I changed the metal bars of moisture sensor and the problem continues.
We bought the kit and changed everything and still have been able to get it to heat. What else could it be? 😅
Make sure you actually getting 220v from the outlet. I hope it helps 🙏
He did not have to take out the drum but whatever works for him. It's just to easily access the element but not necessary. Just extra steps.
After I completed the heat element replacement I turned on the dryer and I noticed a burning smell. Is this normal? Is it supposed to go away?
Yes, this is normal. It's due to a galvanized layer applied on the coils to protect the heat element from corrosion during storage.
