This video is 5 years old and still helping people! I got tired of waiting for my home warranty to respond to my request to repair my non heating dryer. I mean they sent someone out to fix it. Paid them and it only worked for one load. Smh. This video walked me step by step and tbh, I amazed myself! Dryer is working and you have a new fan! Thank you so much for this video!!
You are a good father. When I was 4 I could do this as well however, most 18yr olds nowadays couldn't tell you the difference between a flat and a Phillips and don't even have common sense enough to google it.
I'm on my second heating element after year 3. Never had to do this on my old school dryer!! For the price, I'll never buy another Samsung dryer again!! Great and helpful video tho!👍
I really appreciate vids of this type. Shop around for the heating element though, I found the price varying from around thirty dollars to over one hundred.
I did it! I really did it! Ordered this part from Amazon and followed your directions to the T ( about 45minuted of rewinding to keep up) and in the end there is heat yet again! Thank you 🙏🏾... An overwhelming feeling to conquer an appliance repair. I feel very competent today😎
Lol - i just did this and had the same feeling - replaced the thermal fuse and thermostat first and was devastated that it didn't work - but this did the trick!!!
@@rwogh I tried half year ago. I either it doesn't work. This video only tells us how to solve the only one (of hundreds) heating problem. Trying is gambling and testing your luck.
Absolutely could not have replaced the heater dryer element without this video. Thank you Appliance Parts Pros. The wires leading to the heating element housing was the trickiest part. Definitely take pictures or a video of the order of wiring before you pop those off. Thanks again. Fixed my dryer for $26 as opposed to the $370 it cost me last time we had to replace. :)

Matt’s instructions were spot on. Following his steps, I was successfully able to repair my Samsung dryer. I am sure that had I called a repairman, the repair would have been 1/3 the price of a new dryer. Thanks Appliance Parts Pros.
Saved 500 bucks 😮they wanted to charge us . Because we live out of town . Next time I’ll buy the entire heating element with the cover attached it was annoying to assemble. But it all worked out with these awesome directions. Life savers 😊
I want to thank you SO MUCH for this video. The heating element burned out in our 10+-year-old dryer. You were clear & slow-paced in the process. The new part's coming in a few days! Thank you, thank you!
Had to replace my heating element today and this was by far the BEST video on UA-cam for me to follow. I found one video where the guy says you have to remove the drum to be able to gain access to where the heating element is.
I watched this excellent video 4 or 5 years ago to replace my heating element. And today, I replaced it again. You’ve saved the day once again. Thank you, Thank You, Thank You!
After watching a different video, I was sure I was going to be calling a repairman. Then watched this one, A, B, C. YES! We can do this. Did and done. Thank you for a great teaching video.
Got the entire part for less than $70.00 from our local parts store. Followed this guy’s directions to a tee, and completed the repair myself with my 11 year old granddaughter’s help. This is the second replacement in two years and the machine is 9 years old but gets used about 15x a week. Very easy directions and repair. Just need a Phillip head screwdriver. I did have some rusted screws, though, that slowed me down. Otherwise would have been done in 30 minutes.
So our dryer was working but no heat. I'm absolutely useless and not handy at all. My wife made me sit down and do this. We followed step by step and within 45 minutes it was replaced and fixed. Perfect tutorial.
Extremely helpful video! Bought complete element + housing with thermostat for $150 from local parts store. Notes: take time to vacuum/wipe down while apart There is no 'click' or positive feedback to know element housing is set properly in duct; took about 12-15 tries to feel comfortable that it was correct To ensure two back bracket tabs are secured just try to lift it straight up or use phone to take photo from back I found needle nose pliers helpful in removing element wires
Thank you so much for the step by step instructions! I ordered the part online as well as a new belt and installed both myself following your instructions. I saved myself hundreds by not having a repairman out and not having to buy a new one. Since it is Christmas time I absolutely appreciated saving the money!
There are dozens of videos on UA-cam showing how to replace the heating element in Samsung dryers. Its amazing that in most of them they show it being done by removing the drum. As this video shows remove the drum is totally unnecessary. This is why its always a good idea to watch several videos before attempting a repair to be sure you do it the easiest and best way.
Thank you so much for this super helpful video! This is the only video I watched that shows how to change the heating element without taking the drum out. Please give this gentleman a raise for doing such a fantastic job!
Your tutorials are a life saver (and money saver too!). So far I've had to replace the idler assembly and now the heating element and having your tutorials as a guide was invaluable. Thanks so much for making these!!
Excellent video and pacing. Exactly what I needed to change the heating element and not lose my mind doing it. Every single step made sense and was simplified. As someone who is not mechanical at all, I impressed my gf by following this video. Just a quick note that later models of the Samsung dryer now have 3 additional Screws. 2 on the rear side of the mounting bracket which you cannot see so you have to angle your hand to remove and tighten, and a screw that now attaches the mounting bracket to the element housing. Please be aware of these because this is actually what took the most time. 10/10 on the video!! 💯👍👏
This is literally what I just ran into now! I couldn't get the back side of the mounting bracket to move and I couldn't figure out how he had his move so easily. Felt behind and sure enough there are more screws in the back. Unfortunately I don't have a screwdriver that fits back there, so off to the hardware store I go!
2 important items to consider. 1. Be sure to clean you vent all the way to the outside. If that is clogged, the element will fail soon. 2. Getting the element inside the dryer vent is very difficult. Make sure it gets up inside the housing properly.
The piece I ordered came with the right heating elements (coil, thermostat, etc.) but the case was way too big, so I had to replace all three of them to the old housing to get it to fit. I almost had an aneurysm because it was not fitting nearly as nicely as he showed 🥴
Great video! One item to note - the bracket for my heating element had screws in the back. Major pain to get to, but a snub nosed Phillips and lots of patience got that out.
Great instructions, start to finish. Since I wasn't able to diagnose for sure why I wasn't getting heat, I replaced the element, thermostat and fuse all in one shot since I had the whole thing taken apart. So far so good.
Absolutely spot on. It was a breeze to install and the best part is the element was in fact broken. At first I could not see a break and my heart dropped, but as I ran my finger around the coils, boom, there it was. I had back surgery a couple of weeks ago and was not sure I would be able to do all the bending, but just took it slow and it did take me 3 hours to fix, but I took a lot of breaks. Thank you for this excellent teaching video. Saved hundreds of bucks. So two martinis tonight.
Excellent video. My dryer had a few more screws in different places, but for the price of the part, and the help of your video, I got this done in about 90 minutes. Thank you.
My Samsung is 5 years old. We moved and it broke. The sorry SOBs added two screws to the back pedestal feet and a screw where the heating element carriage rests on the pedestal. Try getting a screwdriver back in those areas. Hours later, I was done. The old heating element plate was cracked all over.
Our dryer is about 2 1/2 years old. Sounds like we lucked out with this being our first time to replace the element! 😂 This has to be the best appliance repair video I’ve ever seen though. Great job guys!!!
Best video was able to replace the thermostat fuse on the element casing using this video $20 total parts and my time. Original problem was no heat. Also had to test fuse with a multimeter to determine which fuse was blown. Thanks
This a 5 star video - excellent step-by-step instruction on how to disassemble/re-assemble a late model Samsung dryer to get at the heating element. It's relatively simple compared to taking apart your washer to repair it, and AppliancePartsPros also have excellent videos for that. You do however need to refer other videos on UA-cam first to get the instructions on how to diagnose the fault with your dryer. Kudos to AppliancePartsPros and the featured technician.
This is a wonderful tutorial. Usually my husband repairs everything but he is injured. He was with me to help but after watching this he was mostly moral support.
Thanks! I am replacing my replacement heating element (dryer is 5 years old, just replaced the element last March), and your video has made it really easy both times. At the rate it's going, I'll be back in about a year to watch it again! 😅
This saved me lots of money replacing the heating element myself. It really wasn’t hard thanks to this video. I’m glad I found this video in particular, as others were taking the drum off and all the bulkheads. This was A LOT simpler!
Thank you so much. I did 2 loads of laundry and by the third, the dryer would run, spin and complete a full cycle only for the clothes to be wet and the dryer was cold. After repeated testing, I figured it was the heating element once I watched this video. I followed all the instructions to the T, and Voila!!!! My dryer is good as new....vacuumed all the lint inside the machine once it was opened up as well and now the machine is good as new. Thanks AppliancePartsPros!
Great video; really helps and thank you for easy parts ordering!! A couple of suggestions: 1) Before assuming heating element, make sure to test both legs of your 220 outlet and make sure you have 110 on both, as one side drives the motor and controls and the other the heating element 2) You can put a resistance check across the old element to verify a dead ground or break in continuity 3) While in there, I'd recommend also replacing not only the heating coil unit, but also the two temperature fuses and the thermostat, just for good measure
Thanks for the video. If your having problems aligning the heating element and the cover housing. First screw the element board down to one side of the housing. Wait about 1/2 hr. The heating coils will stretch a bit, then un screw the heating coil element from the housing. Continue to follow the videos direction to properly assemble the housing.
Update ….February 2022. … just came back to this video again to replace my 3rd heating element. Great video. Thanks again for posting. 👍🏻 Great video! Thanks so much for the easy to follow instructions. This is the 2nd element I have had to replace but it went much more smoothly this time thanks to the video. 👍🏻
Thank you so much for making this video! You did a fantastic job no way that I could have got lost. This is the second time that I had to replace this and the last time the guy on the video had me take apart the entire dryer to replace it. This was way better of a video! Thank you very very very much!

Don't know if you're still watching this but my dryer works now - great video, thanks!
Absolutely amazing video, straight to the point. This was a lifesaver. I wish all tutorials were this straightforward. Even removing the drum to get a clear view of how to re-insert the heating assembly was helpful. Giving a like for the effort, and I know where to check first if something else goes wrong.
Thank you so much. A friend and I followed your video and replaced the heating element. Now my dryer heats up again 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁. I went ahead and cancelled the repair place. Saved me some 💰💰💰.
This tutorial was tremendous step by step. I literally liked and subscribed because this guy knows what he's talking about. He basically holds your hand through the whole process process.
This was so great! I am no way technical, but was able to get it done without help. Thank you again so much. I didnt have money for a repair man to do it and no neighbors could so it either. Your a life saver!
Lol I just now pulled my dryer down to change the heating element and found a brush I was looking for the longest while. It was lying between the heating element housing and the inside wall of the dryer. Half of it was burnt and melted across the housing. The bristles looks like those of wire brush. This has been sitting there since January of this year when I changed the pulley and belt. How it didn’t start a fire only God knows. God is Good!!
Thanks for the great video. I managed to replace the hearing element in my dryer with no problems. I especially liked that you included the reassembly steps.
My samsung dryer only had a small difference. The "lower bracket" had screws in the back, plus one in the middle, attached to the heating element. This meant that you had to pull the upper and lower assembly far enough forward to reach that middle screw. But otherwise, it was identical. Thank you very much for this video!
@@nicholas_scott. Thanks. I bought a stubby screwdriver and it was still next to impossible. Using a kitchen jar grip gave me the leverage to unscrew it. Terrible design flaw by Samsung yet again.
Thank you AppliancePartsPros! I successfully took apart & bought your original replacement part. I was able to take it apart, replace the heating element & put it all back together again because of this detailed video. It even works!!!!. If I can do it, the rest of the world can do it also!!!! Had to have a little husband help to get a couple of screws loosened (we had to get the battery operated screwdriver to get them out) and flashlight assistance when putting the heating element back in on top of the stand. Otherwise, just follow these instructions!
I just replaced my dryers element using this tutorial! Very easy to follow! Other tutorials make you remove the drum and that seemed like way too much of a hassle!
Thank you so much for this video. I was able to successfully remove and place in new heating element. I'm no repair man either, so couldn't have done this without you.
This was a great video and very easy to follow. Other videos I watched had me taking way more out of the dryer than necessary. My only suggestion is to tell people that the coiled wire can't touch any other metal. My coiled wire was touching the metal plate in between and the first time I ran the dryer it burned out. I learned that lesson the hard way. Thank you for your tutorial.
I’ve never in my life fixed a dryer, but your video helped me replace my heating element in under 2 hours by myself! It would have been less but I had to work around not being able to get the dryer out in the open so I was confined in space. Thank you!!!
Absolutely the best, clearest easy to fallow Video! Changing my Samsung heating element was made easy with the help of this Video! 👍👍👍 This is the First heating element to go bad on my Samsung dryer in 7 Years and it, went bad due to my not cleaning the lint catcher, with every load and cleaning out/replacing the exhaust pipe/hose more often! There were great balls of lint all inside the dryer housing and the exhaust pipe was Almost completely clogged. I’ve learned several valuable lessons during the replacement process. Love my Samsung!
Just fixed my dryer this evening using this video! I'm super grateful for the tutorial especially because these kind of repairs can feel so intimidating. Thank you!
Just followed your vidoe and successfully fixed my dryer! Thank you very much. I was already planning on spending about 3K on a new set. However since the dryer now works, I will wait another year or two.
Second time in three years that I’ve had to replace the heating element in this piece of crap dryer (which I bought brand new six years ago). While Samsung may be terrible, this video is super helpful!
This video has saved me $400!! The instructions are spot on and super easy to follow. I watched several videos for this issue and that was by far the best one. Thank you for this great video
I never comment on videos, but felt I had to here. This was an absolute lifesaver not to mention money saver. Perfect clear directions. I got exactly what I needed done. Thanks so much for posting this.
Replace the belt at the same time guys ! I used this to replace the heating element and a few months later had to replace the belt would have been easier to do at the time . Even if it doesn’t look old it’s well worth it.
Thanks for this tutorial. You made it simple to understand and instead of paying a tech $360, I was able to buy the part and install it myself for $30. You are the man!!
YES! Just fixed my first appliance! Divorced, 56 y.o.f. Feeling accomplished! 😊 THANK YOU! .....took me all day, but that was me, not you. Haha! Thanks again!
Love these dryers. For $26 super cheap replacement part. Have had my Samsung for 15 years now. These elements last me about 7 years on average so far. Just replaced my second one from 7 years ago.
Thank you for these simple instructions. Just changed mine this evening. Success!!!! Your method is best because I have my dryer stacked and I cant access it from the back. Thank you again. Took me one hour start to finis. That's only because I vacuumed and cleaned it out throughly.
Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't even have to wach the video twice it is so self explanatory. I did a conductivity test on each of the three parts and it was just the overload that needed to be replaced. Got the part and put it back together in 20 minutes. 25 bucks and back and running in one day
Thank you for this great and helpful video. Some minor differences in what I had to do with mine. I did remove the lint filter cover and plastic cage assembly as well to clean out all of the lint that built up and PREVENTED my lint filter from seating fully down. Clothes were catching on the raised corner of the lint filter and twisting my clothes due to it not fully seating down. I read a lot of complaints that people had about this issue. Since you have all this off, you might as well clean up the area of lint buildup. My wires were slightly arranged differently on the coil unit. You had red, blue, black, blue, blue, black...mine was red, blue, black, blue, black, blue. Make sure you guys take a photo of the wires on the coil unit prior to removing them so they go back where they need to. Since I had the lint filter issue, I had to vacuum a lot of lint out from the area where lint escaped. Thanks again, the video helped me out a lot.
Thank you for this excellent video! Thorough into the point. I’ve never taken apart and dryer before and I had the whole job done in less than an hour and a half with these tips. Also, I would add to shop vac out all of the dust and crap while you do this. Your dryer won’t be nearly as clean as his!
This was an excellent video and showed exactly what I needed to do in order to replace my heating element. I watched several videos and they all had a different method of doing this. This one was by far the easiest and smartest way to do it. Thanks!
Awesome video bud. This was spot-on and very detailed. I'm happy that it only cost me $25 and 30 minutes of my time to get our dryer back up and running properly.
Very much appreciate the quality of this video in both great visual aids and great instructions. For some, like myself, be warned there might be a screw on the back of that bracket that holds up the heating element between the two tabs you have to pull up.
Your video is excellent. I replaced the heating element. I believe I did it correctly, especially the wiring of the 6 terminals. But when I tested it after reassembling it, it still didn't get hot! What else might cause the dryer to not get hot?
Wish I had seen your video BEFORE I took apart my dryer! Would have saved a lot of time and hassle without taking unnecessary parts off for the repair. Your instruction is clear and thorough. Well done!
This saved me $1700! Thanks! I was worried there was no resolution when I replaced the thermal fuse and thermostat and didn't get heat - but this did it!
Thank you very much!!! One small issue with my samsung dryer. The bracket holding the heating element had two screws on the back side. It did not just slide out. It was very tricky getting them unscrewed. I know not all dryers are the same. But this saved me hundreds.
Thx for this. Very easy to follow and now I have a working dryer again. Just a heads up, my heating element support had 3 extra screws to remove before taking it out. None of them were easily accessible and it required bending the metal to get access to them (everything bent back no problem).
You are very welcome. Our videos are just to help give you a general idea on how to do the repair. If there is anything we can help you with in the future please let us know.
Thank you so much. You helped me out a bunch with this! And I also love your calm demeanor, the level of detail, and that you cut right to the chase. It all put me right at ease and I was able to fix this no problem. I'll definitely be shopping with you all next time.

After repeated testing, I figured it was the heating element once I watched this video. I followed all the instructions to the T, and Voila!!!! My dryer is good as new....vacuumed all the lint inside the machine once it was opened up as well and now the machine is good as new. Thanks AppliancePartsPros!
We're glad we could help you out!
Great video; really helps and thank you for easy parts ordering!! A couple of suggestions:
1) Before assuming heating element, make sure to test both legs of your 220 outlet and make sure you have 110 on both, as one side drives the motor and controls and the other the heating element
2) You can put a resistance check across the old element to verify a dead ground or break in continuity
3) While in there, I'd recommend also replacing not only the heating coil unit, but also the two temperature fuses and the thermostat, just for good measure
Thank you for the suggestions! If there is anything we can help you with in the future please let us know.
Thank you. Saved me from paying a fortune on a service call. Easy to follow instructions. Dryer is back in business thanks to this video.
Great video!
Best “how to” video I’ve ever seen. Clear instructions and great camera work. Well done.
Glad we were able to help you out!
This was so great! I am no way technical, but was able to get it done without help. Thank you again so much. I didnt have money for a repair man to do it and no neighbors could so it either. Your a life saver!
this is by far THE BEST DIY Samsung DC47-00019A Heating element replacement video hands down!!! thank you!
Thank you Matt. I could not have done this repair without your video. You are a great teacher. Thanks again.
You are welcome. If there is anything we can help you with in the future please let us know.
How did you get the back screws? I can’t reach them and I don’t want to have to take the entire back off
@@Jackmerius_Tacktheritrix5733 I used a small stubby screwdriver. Once removed, I did not reinstall them.
@@nicholas_scott. Thanks. I bought a stubby screwdriver and it was still next to impossible. Using a kitchen jar grip gave me the leverage to unscrew it. Terrible design flaw by Samsung yet again.
Hey thank you for commenting this - mine is the same configuration you described and I was glad to hear your solution.
Glad you were able to complete your repair. If there is anything we can help you with in the future please let us know!
Glad we were able to help you out. If there is anything we can help you out with in the future please let us know.
This tutorial was PERFECT! Thank you for saving us the cost and hassle of a repair. This was easy as long as i stuck to your walkthrough.
Very Helpful Video! Just finished replacing my heating element... Saved a couple hundred bucks by not having to call the Repair Man!! Thanks a bunch!!
+Billy Graham Glad the video helped you get the element changed!
Glad you were able to fix your dryer! If you need help with anything in the future please let us know and we will be more than happy to assist you.
Thank you! The heating element broke on my 10 year old Samsung dryer, and I was able to fix it with this video and $55 worth of parts from Amazon.
Had to repair the heating element again approximately 2.5 years later because the coil broke again. Thanks
Glad you were able to complete your repair. If there is anything we can help you with in the future please let us know.
Second time in three years that I’ve had to replace the heating element in this piece of crap dryer (which I bought brand new six years ago). While Samsung may be terrible, this video is super helpful!
Repaired my Samsung dryer by following this video and it works like new now. Thanks for this great guide!
Glad we could help you out!
If there is anything we can help you with in the future please let us know.
Thanks for this tutorial. You made it simple to understand and instead of paying a tech $360, I was able to buy the part and install it myself for $30. You are the man!!
Thank you! Got the job done and it only cost me a $30 part. Couldn’t have done it without this video!
After the one year warranty the heating element sent bad. This video helped me out tremendously.
Thank you for these simple instructions. Just changed mine this evening. Success!!!! Your method is best because I have my dryer stacked and I cant access it from the back. Thank you again. Took me one hour start to finis. That's only because I vacuumed and cleaned it out throughly.
+TrickPixels Awesome, glad the video helped you get the dryer fixed!
Awesome instructions and company! Got a heating element from you and followed the video to replace. My dryer dries again. Quality work..
Thank you so much. Saved an unknown fortune, only waited 2 days for Amazon's $16 part and we fixed our dryer ourselves :)
This is one of the best tutorial videos I’ve ever watched! He is outstanding as a instructor! Great job and thank you for the video!
Thank you!
This is the best DIY video! Only thing you left out is to make sure element wires are not touching top or bottom metal.
Very much appreciate the quality of this video in both great visual aids and great instructions. For some, like myself, be warned there might be a screw on the back of that bracket that holds up the heating element between the two tabs you have to pull up.
Glad we were able to help you. If there is anything we can help you with in the future please let us know.
@@appliancepartspros Will do and thank you again. I definitely did not put that screw back in on the back side of the bracket.
Your video is excellent. I replaced the heating element. I believe I did it correctly, especially the wiring of the 6 terminals. But when I tested it after reassembling it, it still didn't get hot! What else might cause the dryer to not get hot?
I watched three videos before I found yours. I knew there was a way to do this without removing the drum! Thanks 9 years later!!!
Glad we were able to help you out. If there is anything we can help you with in the future please let us know.
Thanks these are great instructions. Unfortunately Samsung also put 2 screws in the back of my bracket..... I'm struggling
Wish I had seen your video BEFORE I took apart my dryer! Would have saved a lot of time and hassle without taking unnecessary parts off for the repair. Your instruction is clear and thorough. Well done!
Thank you so much for a treat video!! However, I replaced everything and my samsung dryer will still not heat. What else do you think could it be?
Very clear and easy-to-follow steps. Even on a different model, these got our dryer back up and drying. Thanks so much!
Literally a life saver. Thanks a lot! I just had two extra screws in the back of the bracket that holds the heater assembly.
How to videos are hands down the most important part of the internet
Thank you for the video. I fixed my dryer in about an hour with your instructions. It was a easy fix thanks to your guidance.
+Johnny Ray Awesome, glad you got the dryer up and running!
We fixed the same piece on my grandfathers dryer. A couple days later ours went out too. I thought they’d be similar but oh I was wrong. Wonderful video helped me locate the piece.
