This video is 5 years old and still helping people! I got tired of waiting for my home warranty to respond to my request to repair my non heating dryer. I mean they sent someone out to fix it. Paid them and it only worked for one load. Smh. This video walked me step by step and tbh, I amazed myself! Dryer is working and you have a new fan! Thank you so much for this video!!

Absolutely could not have replaced the heater dryer element without this video. Thank you Appliance Parts Pros. The wires leading to the heating element housing was the trickiest part. Definitely take pictures or a video of the order of wiring before you pop those off. Thanks again. Fixed my dryer for $26 as opposed to the $370 it cost me last time we had to replace. :)

Got the entire part for less than $70.00 from our local parts store. Followed this guy’s directions to a tee, and completed the repair myself with my 11 year old granddaughter’s help. This is the second replacement in two years and the machine is 9 years old but gets used about 15x a week. Very easy directions and repair. Just need a Phillip head screwdriver. I did have some rusted screws, though, that slowed me down. Otherwise would have been done in 30 minutes.

Extremely helpful video! Bought complete element + housing with thermostat for $150 from local parts store.
Notes: take time to vacuum/wipe down while apart
There is no 'click' or positive feedback to know element housing is set properly in duct; took about 12-15 tries to feel comfortable that it was correct
To ensure two back bracket tabs are secured just try to lift it straight up or use phone to take photo from back
I found needle nose pliers helpful in removing element wires

There are dozens of videos on UA-cam showing how to replace the heating element in Samsung dryers. Its amazing that in most of them they show it being done by removing the drum. As this video shows remove the drum is totally unnecessary. This is why its always a good idea to watch several videos before attempting a repair to be sure you do it the easiest and best way.

Excellent video and pacing. Exactly what I needed to change the heating element and not lose my mind doing it. Every single step made sense and was simplified. As someone who is not mechanical at all, I impressed my gf by following this video. Just a quick note that later models of the Samsung dryer now have 3 additional
Screws. 2 on the rear side of the mounting bracket which you cannot see so you have to angle your hand to remove and tighten, and a screw that now attaches the mounting bracket to the element housing. Please be aware of these because this is actually what took the most time. 10/10 on the video!! 💯👍👏

This is literally what I just ran into now! I couldn't get the back side of the mounting bracket to move and I couldn't figure out how he had his move so easily. Felt behind and sure enough there are more screws in the back. Unfortunately I don't have a screwdriver that fits back there, so off to the hardware store I go!

2 important items to consider. 1. Be sure to clean you vent all the way to the outside. If that is clogged, the element will fail soon. 2. Getting the element inside the dryer vent is very difficult. Make sure it gets up inside the housing properly.

Absolutely spot on. It was a breeze to install and the best part is the element was in fact broken. At first I could not see a break and my heart dropped, but as I ran my finger around the coils, boom, there it was. I had back surgery a couple of weeks ago and was not sure I would be able to do all the bending, but just took it slow and it did take me 3 hours to fix, but I took a lot of breaks. Thank you for this excellent teaching video. Saved hundreds of bucks. So two martinis tonight.

My Samsung is 5 years old. We moved and it broke. The sorry SOBs added two screws to the back pedestal feet and a screw where the heating element carriage rests on the pedestal. Try getting a screwdriver back in those areas. Hours later, I was done. The old heating element plate was cracked all over.

This a 5 star video - excellent step-by-step instruction on how to disassemble/re-assemble a late model Samsung dryer to get at the heating element. It's relatively simple compared to taking apart your washer to repair it, and AppliancePartsPros also have excellent videos for that. You do however need to refer other videos on UA-cam first to get the instructions on how to diagnose the fault with your dryer. Kudos to AppliancePartsPros and the featured technician.

Great video; really helps and thank you for easy parts ordering!! A couple of suggestions:
    1) Before assuming heating element, make sure to test both legs of your 220 outlet and make sure you have 110 on both, as one side drives the motor and controls and the other the heating element
    2) You can put a resistance check across the old element to verify a dead ground or break in continuity
    3) While in there, I'd recommend also replacing not only the heating coil unit, but also the two temperature fuses and the thermostat, just for good measure

The heating coils will stretch a bit, then un screw the heating coil element from the housing. Continue to follow the videos direction to properly assemble the housing.

Replace the belt at the same time guys ! I used this to replace the heating element and a few months later had to replace the belt would have been easier to do at the time . Even if it doesn’t look old it’s well worth it.

Love these dryers. For $26 super cheap replacement part. Have had my Samsung for 15 years now. These elements last me about 7 years on average so far. Just replaced my second one from 7 years ago.

Thank you for these simple instructions. Just changed mine this evening. Success!!!! Your method is best because I have my dryer stacked and I cant access it from the back. Thank you again. Took me one hour start to finis. That's only because I vacuumed and cleaned it out throughly.

Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't even have to wach the video twice it is so self explanatory. I did a conductivity test on each of the three parts and it was just the overload that needed to be replaced. Got the part and put it back together in 20 minutes. 25 bucks and back and running in one day

Thank you for this great and helpful video. Some minor differences in what I had to do with mine. I did remove the lint filter cover and plastic cage assembly as well to clean out all of the lint that built up and PREVENTED my lint filter from seating fully down. Clothes were catching on the raised corner of the lint filter and twisting my clothes due to it not fully seating down. I read a lot of complaints that people had about this issue. Since you have all this off, you might as well clean up the area of lint buildup. My wires were slightly arranged differently on the coil unit. You had red, blue, black, blue, blue, black...mine was red, blue, black, blue, black, blue. Make sure you guys take a photo of the wires on the coil unit prior to removing them so they go back where they need to. Since I had the lint filter issue, I had to vacuum a lot of lint out from the area where lint escaped. Thanks again, the video helped me out a lot.

Thank you for this excellent video! Thorough into the point. I’ve never taken apart and dryer before and I had the whole job done in less than an hour and a half with these tips.
Also, I would add to shop vac out all of the dust and crap while you do this. Your dryer won’t be nearly as clean as his!

Very much appreciate the quality of this video in both great visual aids and great instructions. For some, like myself, be warned there might be a screw on the back of that bracket that holds up the heating element between the two tabs you have to pull up.

Your video is excellent. I replaced the heating element. I believe I did it correctly, especially the wiring of the 6 terminals. But when I tested it after reassembling it, it still didn't get hot! What else might cause the dryer to not get hot?

Thank you very much!!! One small issue with my samsung dryer. The bracket holding the heating element had two screws on the back side. It did not just slide out. It was very tricky getting them unscrewed. I know not all dryers are the same. But this saved me hundreds.

Thx for this. Very easy to follow and now I have a working dryer again. Just a heads up, my heating element support had 3 extra screws to remove before taking it out. None of them were easily accessible and it required bending the metal to get access to them (everything bent back no problem).
