Boomers are still greedy today. They've been like that their entire lives. So many Boomer parents are so abusive to their children for their own personal financial gain. "Steven is rich, if my kid gets involved with him, I will be rich by association" is the thought process.

Not a chance, it was 100% legal. This woman was a willing participant. It was morally, 100% wrong. Tyler never attempted to hide this relationship.
Yes, it was totally wrong. She was using hard drugs before she met him. She was also sexually active before she met him. Tyler knows this was
wrong in todays culture, but sadly was the norm back in the 70's. The era is relevant to this story.

@@toddlavigne6441 That's more a feature of bad parenting than anything else. No loving and nurturing mothers and fathers allow their underage daughters to be sexually active and enticed to do hard drugs and you can't convince me that they were blind to what their children were doing. It's called parenting for a reason. If you don't lay any ground rules and give unconditional love and provide a stable and healthy home, then kids are going to look elsewhere for love and security. Unfortunately, they look in the wrong places.

@@sciencenotstigma9534 I think drugs are a correlation, not a causation. Plenty of addicts are not sexual predators. Addiction or no addiction is irrelevant to being someone who would commit a sexual crime. There are many common characteristics that people often develop during active addiction (victim complex, entitlement, lack of personal accountability, lack of boundaries surrounding what one would do to achieve their next hit, manipulation to not be held accountable for their sobriety or what they’ve done to fund their addiction, etc). Suddenly becoming a sexual predator is not one of them. If someone commits a sexual crime while in active addiction, they already issues with sex and consent before becoming an addict. It’s just used as an excuse. People in active addiction don’t just suddenly become sexual predators.

    • @sciencenotstigma9534

@@BabyBear046 There’s a lot of hard evidence that drug and alcohol use play a part in violent crime. They inhibit impulse control, and stimulants can actually cause sadistic fantasy and behavior. There are plenty of predators who are not drug users, too. So there are definitely drug users who do things they never do sober, and there are also predators who get drunk or high to use as an excuse, later. You absolutely have to look at a person’s history and behavior before and after drug addiction before assuming it was just the drugs. I know people who are completely different when sober, and people who offend no matter what. (I’m in the addiction treatment field). I agree with you on that point!

I can almost guarantee that fire was deliberate. Him demanding an abortion afterwards should constitute as proof. I am no lawyer or judge, but anyone with critical thinking skills should recognize that "I nearly lost my partner and my unborn child in a fire. That child needs to be aborted while I do rails" is not a normal reaction from an innocent person. I don't think my neighbors with hard drug addictions (who did nearly cause a fire) would react like that; if anything, it would lead them to re-prioritize things after nearly losing that which cannot be replaced.
I am not shading people with addictions. I *am* shading two men from Aerosmith.

@@gypsywoman9140 don’t forget the whole aspect of the fact that Steven’s girlfriend (or fiancé at the time possibly?? That part was a little unclear. I’ve seen Julia Holcomb referred to/called Steven Tyler’s fiancé when this all happened, but it’s still a little unclear if they actually got engaged or not, even though Steven’s grandmother wouldn’t pass down her engagement ring to Steven to give to Julia bc she didn’t like or approve of Julia, nor did his father, for whatever reason!) and mother of his unborn child, Julia, was *actually a MINOR herself, was Steven Tyler’s UNDERAGED WARD…..& that Steven was officially & legally deemed & recognized as Julia’s LEGAL GUARDIAN during this time, when all this happened!!!*
That’s even *MORE TROUBLING* about this whole incredibly sad and messed up story!!
It definitely makes one wonder & seriously question if things were being done to Julia in an attempt to try to cause a miscarriage bc Steven realized how bad and serious of a situation this was?!? That even though he was super famous, rich, successful & powerful at the time (granted, he wasn’t at his peak of wealth, power & fame at the time! He & his other hand mates were just STARTING to amass their massive wealth, fame & power! They were still fairly new into their fame, the beginning of the career & the massive fame & success of Aerosmith, as they had only recently become a super popular band! But, they still had enough fame, money & power to be able to engage in all kinds of tomfoolery, getting away w all kinds of things the rest of us lowly peasants would NOT be able to bc they curried favour, had their arses kissed, were worshipped, constantly had ppl looking away from all sorts of things they were doing & were protected due to their fame, success, wealth & the power all those things bring, that the rest of us have no access to!!) that Steven was aware of just how much legal trouble he could find himself in by not only engaging in a romantic & sexual relationship w an underaged minor, but that he had deliberately sought out legal guardianship of said underaged minor w the main purpose and intention of being able to legally take her across state lines, from state to state across the country on tour w him so he could continue the “relationship”! Recognizing that even worse than that was the fact that while Julia was his underaged ward and Steven officially & legally designated & recognized by the law & government as her legal guardian, that Julia ended up pregnant by her legal guardian!!
Steven most likely recognized just how much trouble he could be in legally as a result of his deliberate and intentionally actions during all of this! I’m not sure if a date was mentioned when this all happened, but Roman Polanski was convicted of rape of an underaged minor and fled the USA as a result of his conviction & impending prison sentence in 1978. So, I’m wondering if maybe it was around the time Polanski was getting into serious legal troubles?!? That maybe the super wealthy, famous, successful & powerful celebs of all kinds, like Steven, were realizing at that time that even though their massive success, fame, wealth & power usually protected them and was basically a “get out of jail free” card 99% of the time, that there was still a limit to just how far that “get out of jail free” card would protect them?!? That there were certain things that crossed the line & it would NOT protect them…….getting caught red handed w an underaged minor being one of those things that crossed that line and could be the nail in their coffin!!
*A pregnancy is the most definitive way to get caught red handed in a sexual relationship w an underaged minor! Even worse when you have legal papers, leaving an actual paper trail, designating you as the legal guardian of the same exact underaged minor and the underaged minor being legally designated your legal ward!! All which you purposefully, deliberately and intentionally sought out & pursued said legal designation in order to be able to legally travel across the country, crossing state lines, on tour w said underaged minor in order to continue to carry out the illegal sexual relationship, in attempts to avoid getting arrested and finding oneself in legal trouble!! Oof!!* 🙄

They met when Cyrinda was married to David Johansson from the New York Dolls, she divorced David and married Steven.
The reason I remember it so clearly is because while we were standing there talking Sid Vicious and Nancy Spungeon came stumbling out of CBGBS, she was screaming Sid's name, they were both really high and arguing and he slapped her across the face at one point. They stumbled around for about 20 minutes trying to get a cab, a lot of cabs went by without picking them up. I was only 18 myself, if I was older I would've said something when he slapped her but to be fair, she was punching and scratching him for awhile before he smacked her and then she immediately stopped and started crying and begging him to forgive her. I'm just stating what I saw, not making excuses for either of them. I saw them together a few times because a friend and I were staying at The Chelsea Hotel for a few days while they were living there.
All of that just to say I remember it was 1978 when Steven Tyler married Cyrinda. I guess some people would consider me somewhat of a groupie but I only had a thing with 1 lead singer for 2 years or so, who ironically went out with Bebe Buell about the same time I stopped coming around. Ish 🤐 (I did see the lead singer 1 more time around 1981 or so, went back to his hotel for awhile with some other people but I slipped away and went home when he wasn't looking... I always felt bad because he died a few years later)
The groupie lifestyle could be fun as long as you kept your head and didn't do drugs or drink or sleep with anyone just because they were in a band. Staying on the fringe of it all is one thing, thinking you're going to be Miss Groupie Supreme is foolish and will only end in heartbreak and or death.

After so many years there isn’t a lot of, if any, physical evidence of SA for the police to collect. If start arresting people without physical evidence, purely based on accusation alone-a lot of innocent people could be targeted a put in jail based on an accusation alone. Then it’s on them to prove their innocence, so our justice system becomes guilty until proven innocent. Lives could be lost and ruined without evidence of a crime ever having been committed.

Then instead of being relieved the unborn baby that he'd wanted and Julia were okay, he's suddenly demanding an abortion.
I think it's pretty obvious what happened. The evidence is in the information, and especially in the forced abortion. Every second, crap like this is happening somewhere and there’s rarely any justice. How did Steven not face any child endangerment charges or jail time as her legal ward for leaving her alone, penniless, starving, and in a fire left for dead? Oops I forgot also impregnating his underaged “daughter”? Oh right… he had money and fame, and basically people just didn’t care enough. He sat there snorting coke while the baby that he had ordered to be murdered was brought in to the world. It's sickening. That poor unfortunate young girl who fell for his fame and persona had no clue that this awful excuse of a man would torture her by insisting that she allows him to make the choice to murder a poor innocent little baby. The only saving grace for the girl was the injection that put her asleep.
My heart is going out to her. Having to relive this period of her life that she thought was way behind her. Only for it to be brought to the public because he wanted to put a name to the face of the girl in the photos with him. Once again he is calling the shots and bringing a spotlight on a time that he acknowledges, but somewhat skewed in his memory.
The world of entertainment is a slime pit, filled with creeps and degenerates who fulfill their sick desires with too
often girls who foolishly believe that they will be the one to conquer the world of the " star".
