Drew said Keanu Reeves once tried to save her when she was 11 or 12, he saw her at a club drinking and smoking and he grabbed her and put a helmet on her head and on the back of his motocycle and took her home. He told her she shouldn't go down this path. I can't remember that was when she realized that she shouldnt be doing that or it was the start of it. She knew it was wrong then, but she was already hooked and addicted and then didnt have her parents. She will always be thankful to him for that.

I was an extra in Babes in Toyland and remember hearing all of this about her but finding it so hard to believe seeing how innocent she looked on set. The American kids from MAHS were hired as extras because of their proximity to Bavaria Film Studios and English as their first language and I did notice that she immediately hooked up with a 14-year old boy from our school (she was 11) who was a known stoner. How she found him so instantly was mind boggling.

@@jokingpredator8383 I have no idea. I guess he didn't because she didn't mention anything like him calling any authorities. I feel like Keanu is and has always been a nice guy and is one of the few actors in Hollywood that's not a part of Hollyweird if you know what I'm saying, but I see what you mean. He could have alerted someone about what was happening. But would it have helped anything? I feel like CPS wouldn't have done anything dealing with Drew bc even though she was a child, she was Hollywood. That whole world is different from reality and we all know there's some messed up things that go on. Especially with Hollywood parents. They can raise or treat their child a certain way that us normal folk would see as weird.
Think about a 24 or 25 year old Elvis dating a 14 year old Priscilla. No, her parents weren't "Hollywood", but Elvis was and it was as if everyone turned a blind eye to that situation. Some parents of child stars should definitely have their sanity questioned for letting their child be involved in certain situations. Like the singer Usher. For the "sake of his career" and for a "learning experience", his mom let him go and live with P. Diddy, at the age of 14 under the guise of him learning about the business. It was called "Puffy Flavor Camp", but it was a perverted man gr**ming children.
I'm so sorry for the long reply, but you asked a very important question.

Drew is the definition of a cycle breaker. The fact she was raised by such a neglectful, self absorbed mother and she grew up to be such a loving, sympathetic, generous person is inspirational honestly. Rather than let herself become bitter she enjoys the little things and spreads happiness (without sweeping her hardships under the rug). This is why she’s one of my favorite celebrities. I met Drew when I was young. She was in my school in 1984. Man, that girl is WAY smart. I couldn't stop looking at her. I mean, a REAL Hollywood starlet just sitting right next to me. And, she's REALLY smart. I was dumbfounded at how smart she was. I was in the SD classes so I only got to see her for a couple of hours a day. She was in my grade when she was supposed to be two years behind me. I mean, I couldn't stop staring. She's gorgeous. Then, my Mom was like, "Hey, wanna meet Drew Barrymore?" When I went to see her, she lost it on me. It was that girl from school! Holy Crap! It was Drew Barrymore. My Mom grabbed me and we were out of there. I completely forgive her. After that, Drew was no longer in school. The gig was up. Drew has since reconciled with me. She's awesome. God Bless, Drew.

So few children make it through child acting, but when you stack that on top of drug abuse, sex abuse, emotional abuse and parental absence… it is nearly impossible to climb out of that. I know there's a lot Drew isn't telling about her real life struggle just because she's protecting herself (or others) or she doesn't want everything to be out there. But think, what was the purpose of those adults that give her alcohol and drugs? Just "having fun"? Just "showing her the adult world"? Just "teaching her"? Where also we hear statements like those? Yeah, you know it, I know it, we all know it, even if she doesn't talk about it.

I find it very interesting that both Paris and Drew had very similar experiences: being carried away against their wills, when they were both young, and then institutionalized (with their parents' involvement). And yet, they BOTH showed up to Britney's wedding, (part of only a VERY select few), having both had similar experiences to what BS went through, and yet they remain quiet to this day. WTF.

Drew is very quiet about the real things she’s experienced too. Her book that’s mentioned in this video is out of print and she doesn’t come right and say ever that she was the victim of SA as a child even though she clearly was. They’re probably too deep in it that they’re afraid to say anything

Look into Anneke Lucas, Rachel Vaughan, Cathy O’Brien & ex FBI chief, Ted Gunderson.

The sweetest child ever who just wanted to be loved given nothing but hardships over and over again. I wish she has all the support and love she needs now and to be surrounded by the most loving and caring people now. Her story just scarred me and hits me somewhere really deep in my heart. I really fucking wish she did not have to go through all of that. She is so strong and amazing. I love her and I hope she will always have the best of days.
