I still crave MHFU combat. New gen games gave weapons too much crazy moves like helmsplitter. It's not about that they are OP, it's just that combat now feels more focused on landing your ultimate move (and these moves look like power fantasy instead of hunting) In MHFU your main dps on greatsword was right from unsheathing. Long sword wasn't bound by "keeping the red gauge" Bow wasn't about gliding near monster's face. Idk. New moves kinda ruined MH for me. Also the handholding, lack of commitment during gathering etc. Back then finding new gathering spot felt fun. They weren't highlighted. Now? Not at all. Maybe I'm a boomer already, but MHFU is still way more fun for me than World/Iceborne.
MHW is my favorite but I still play the old games, especially MHFU. I just treat them as different experiences, MH is never going back to the old style though..
@ yeah, that's my personal issue with mhw/iceborne I guess. I love the game, 1400+ hours already. But it caters more to the "hero of the expedition" fantasy than to "monster hunter". MHFU was all about "you have no flashy moves, but you are doing the job". It's a little sad that MH didn't take more serious route of "survival hunter experience" or something like that.

I put quotes around "learned" because really after like 3-4 practice runs, you should have it down pretty consistently with spread HBG. It's just so strong and if you screw up, just aim at the monster and let the auto guard do it's thing. There's a few things I hope Wilds guts just because while they're fun to abuse, they're just unhealthy for the game imo and HBG with auto shield is one of them. I know it already has it in Wilds as a base kit feature now, but I hope you at least have to invest in it with skills to make it good or make you take more chip damage, just something.
I remember my parents speedrunning Alatreon with said bowgun... That was the old time
Wait... Where is P3rd ????
I still play lance a lot because of the nostalgia of headlocking in the first game
I pity anyone who haven't experience the majesty that is Valor HBG. No seriously, I pity the fool.
23:42 oh yeah i had one of those. I hunted with randos tho so they would usually not pay attention to the sleep proc and i ended up wishing i got a para gs instead. Never did tho...
"lOnGsWoRd Is So BrOkEn, CaPcOm NeRf PlZ"
LoM looks really good! But I have a feeling they're gonna get sued by someone
MHTri was so good.. I have many memories
The best weapon in Monster Hunter is… yours. That’s right, yours, the person reading this. You are so smart and cool for picking that weapon.
We are not talking about the Online games?
the sponsor looks like the game horizone got told not to worry about xD
Guys did you know that when capcom makes a new feature its op?
base generations was forgotten as hell....Teostra bow *cough
shoutout to magnet spike
i like when they nerf the OP because it destroys the game. world & rise still have god mode builds.
Mfw when Longsword isn’t the most busted thing in Rise: 😨
Remember gush crab lance in sunbreak?
I used slicing with the nergigante light bow gun even after the nerf.
monster hunter in a nut shell : capcom tends to make new things strong,
Im a speedrunner, i can confirm dual blades is busted in sunbreak
Almost got spoiled again on MHWilds at the end there.. Close Call
Shout-out grongigas. Best hammer I ever did saw
great video but I'm sad you didn't talk about the bounding dalamadur, insect glaive was really good but this thing had insane stat
No talk about the shotgun? Damn
Linus can count confirmed
Do you have any weapon and armor tips for fight Primordial Malzeno? It's the first quest when you meet it.
I still crave MHFU combat.
New gen games gave weapons too much crazy moves like helmsplitter.
It's not about that they are OP, it's just that combat now feels more focused on landing your ultimate move (and these moves look like power fantasy instead of hunting)
In MHFU your main dps on greatsword was right from unsheathing.
Long sword wasn't bound by "keeping the red gauge"
Bow wasn't about gliding near monster's face.
The motorian is a a Horizon combine with Ark Survival Evolved
we should just get rid of range weapons, tbh
They should bring back slime instead of blast
Awesome Vieo.
The best Weapon in the whole series is: the Weapon which make you the most fun to play!
I guess monster hunter was closer to Cod zombie then I thought...
it isn't just going to be all heavy bowgun, right?
Cool video, thank you!
So the sponsor is just horizon zero dawn
Just wanted to share that this game you're being sponsored by (LIGHT OF MOTIRAM) actually looks really cool, nice job with the ad... oh, and the whole video of course, as always.
in a few games since you got random upgrated gear, really you cant tell whats the top set
"Light of Motiram" thats just horizon zero dawn bruh 😭
I KNEW IT RISE DUAL BLADES WERE A AFK WEAPON xd
