With this type of drill chuck u tighten then turn it back a little and it locks it in. When u just tighten it and start drilling without locking it properly it loosens. Hope this helps 👍

No no dont turn it back a little
Inside is an ratched mechanism so that are little clicks
If you turn it back a little you let the ratched mechanism relaxing
Thats bad because the drill bit is not locked
And you also can see it on the chuck
There are to locks
One in clockwise direction says lock
And counterclockwise unlock
Little clicks => locked
One click back (turn it back a little) => unlock
And if you dont believe me do it your way and pull a few times the trigger and you can see the drill bit will loosen
Do it my way and its tight and the drill bit will not loosen
