Whoa great video, it will be really useful once I manage to get my Time Machine finished, so when I encounter any locks in the 40s I will be able to open them.
I suppose if the battery is dead and not a rechargeable battery, you could use it to make shims, but you could also make them out of beverage cans and not deal with toxic heavy metals. 1, 2, and 4 are just improvised versions of lockpicking tools, 3 is just the two wrenches method people like Lockpicking Lawyer already covered, and 5 isn't even opening a lock, it's just making an improvised lock cover made of plastic and glue so it has less security than the cheapest ones you can buy.
You mean for 40 years I've been paying $1.50 for a key made when alls I needed was a day off, a pencil, epoxy, baking soda, super glue, fine and coarse sandpaper, AND the key I'm making. To make a key? Man, ain't no way.
Don't forget the bonus features of being extremely brittle and likely to crumble, breaking inside the lock and jamming it up while under little stress.
Why does everyone think that these ideas are meant for the serious lock picker? You guys have your tools, just like me, but this video just shows that it can be done an “ingenious” way… you guys are just too serious … lighten up!

There are safer things to shim a lock with than battery casings. Also, you don't need the graphite for number 4. As baking soda and super glue become extremely hard when mixed together
If you have to go through all of that to open a paddle lock that you don’t have a key to just take the bolt cutter and get rid of the lock and get a new one. I swear, sometimes people think they’re going to reinvent the hole.

If one treats their locks with graphite a pick won't work , the pins will be too slippery to stay up , it also makes your locks work easier with your key , never use a oil of any kind that'll gum things up eventually . Graphite will reduce friction that wears your pins in the lock out .

This video is mind-blowing! The tricks are so simple yet effective-I can't believe how easy it is to open locks without a key. Thanks for sharing these amazing tips!
The first one is called raking and you are supposed to do it in and out a lot faster. If you do it slowly it's sort of randomly picking. It will still work if it's a simple lock with just three pins. Cheap locks like that are made to look like locks not work as locks so you can just skip the part where you prepare the paper clip and use it as it is.
Good luck with that. They can only make you a copy of a key you already have. If you don't have the keys it would be cheaper to break the lock and get a new one than to have a lock Smith make you a key.
You do know the hammer you were using couldve just opened it without your afternoon taken because you're making a lock pick set right, oh and a bobby pin or small flat screw driver works for those locks, and for the people watching this. It doesn't work on master locks or door dead bolts, basically luggage locks only ...

Part 5 was a bit strange... rain and corrosion, but with the humid air it will be the same result over time. And what could be interesting is, that a lot of moisture will accumulate and stay in the box. Regarding parts 1-4, many locks are more complex these days, but for the simple locks it will probably work. Still, lots of interesting, fun ideas.

I tried it but the paperclip and other wire is just way to weak, it bends before the lock is manipulated. These "easy" tricks to open up "any" lock aren't that easy at all.
I have done it many times with paper clips. But what I have noticed is, don’t use the cheap flimsy paper clips. Use the heavier ones. Will work every time for you.

"DUH!" Says the "SmArT gUy" who can't think of ANY other USEFUL situations to use the method; like making an emergency copy for another person if places were closed while still needing yours OR to keep from another person being able to go make a duplicate somewhere AND/OR even just a temp copy for someone that you could easily break & dispose of afterward to ensure nobody gets their hands on said copy or can pull it out of the trash, OR even to hide away somewhere just in case you ever lose or forget your keys down the line, etc... BUT NOPE, it could ONLY be useful when needing to make a copy for the purpose of stealing someone else's shit, right dummy?... "DuH!"
YOU ARE FULL OF DONKEY DUST BUSTER. HONEST PEOPLE DO NOT WANT TO ILLEGALLY ENTER ANY HOUSE AND CRIMINALS ALREADY HAVE ALL THE WAYS AND MEANS TO DO SO! THEREFORE ALEX YOUR TIP IS DEAD IN THE WATER. HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA!
not everyone else's words are your words... when i used to travel internationally frequently, i would frequently hear the complaint that "Americans are so lazy and stupid, you could at least put in a little effort to learn some basic sayings...", i happen to completely agree with this & tried to; but my question to them was "alright, i grew up in los angeles... on an average day i would come across at least 5-6 different languages out of about the, oh, let's say, roughly 33 most common from around the world . so, how would you suggest i choose which ones specifically to concentrate on?" an interesting corollary to this situation is that people who are raised & live in extremely multicultural environments are highly adept at being able to understand even heavily accented & very broken English simply because they've been doing it for their whole lives. we've heard the worst that can be done to the poor language, beyond just "incorrect / incomplete" all the way to "incomprehensibly mangled / acted upon with great malice". they also become very accomplished at interpreting & expressing body language and subtle communication cues; as well as becoming unusually empathic... the prefrontal cortex is an amazing system and to have so much of the brain devoted exclusively to human interaction & interpretation (nonverbal, much, if not most of it) it can get very, very good at it. and generally being able to get this point across without ever speaking the language lol...

In some locks, the lock shaft is so thick that even a razor blade can't go through unless the lock is old
Thank you! Cheers!
Maybe that's why he shows more than one way .. ya know .. so when one won't work!

Welcome to Creation Holic channel! Hope you have a good time while watching the video
Thanks you
Glad you like them!
Clever man. I'm from Sydney, Australia
Great to have you here from Sydney! 😊
I tried it but the paperclip and other wire is just way to weak, it bends before the lock is manipulated. These "easy" tricks to open up "any" lock aren't that easy at all.
Please gently manipulate, if you have succeeded once, you will find it quite easy
@@creationholic101 I will try it once more, with more patience. Thanks for responding!
Please let me know the results after you do it again, thank you for watching the video
I have done it many times with paper clips. But what I have noticed is, don’t use the cheap flimsy paper clips. Use the heavier ones. Will work every time for you.
@@creationholic101So here I am again. Just because you were so kind to answer, I took a lot of effort to try again. I own a private fine work place and am quite handy, being a profesional electric guitar builder. This time, I made several little tools with subtle differences in form and shape, made from different wires and paper clips. I put on big lights, used a small vice to control the position of the locks and tried it with a lot of patience and different approaches. During two hours. I tried to open 10 different pad locks of different brands, a few of them rather cheapy. Both small and large ones.
Results: None of them opened. 0%
There is nothing easy about this technique, that's for sure now.
Bravo maistore.
Thank you! Cheers!
not all that are watching here are men, i am a woman and d do not know what some of the items that you use are called would be nice if you put description on the clip
Turn on captions, it listed what they were

Number 4 is a good one. I have a vintage car that needs a back up key!!! The original blanks are impossible to find
Thank you! Cheers!
Fantastic ideas. I'm from Brazil
Glad you liked the ideas! Thanks for watching from Brazil!
No 4 was my favorite in which you had to have the key in the first place to take a mould of the key. DUH!
Could certainly use it to leave the party early and surprise that special someone when they get home alone? Just need the opportunity to get ahold of their keys for a moment 🤔
Thank you! Cheers!
"DuH!"
One thing comes to mind…..do I really need what’s locked up?🤔
That’s a great question! Sometimes it’s worth reassessing whether what’s locked away is really essential. What do you think?
Your tip is not helpful b-cause you let some strangers to know how to get in in any houses
YOU ARE FULL OF DONKEY DUST BUSTER. HONEST PEOPLE DO NOT WANT TO ILLEGALLY ENTER ANY HOUSE AND CRIMINALS ALREADY HAVE ALL THE WAYS AND MEANS TO DO SO! THEREFORE ALEX YOUR TIP IS DEAD IN THE WATER. HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA!
I understand that you didn't find this idea helpful, and I appreciate you sharing your perspective
😢
Then why you watching it?
Great tips, thanks you
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the slow motion recap of the lock popping up, i couldn't tell what was going on without that
No problem 👍

"Use Your Words." That's what we tell our 6 year old children. The same applies here. Would have been a way better video.
Think for yourself. That's what we tell OUR 6 year old children.
Thank you, I'm not good at speaking English, I'm trying to learn to speak English better.
not everyone else's words are your words... when i used to travel internationally frequently, i would frequently hear the complaint that "Americans are so lazy and stupid, you could at least put in a little effort to learn some basic sayings...", i happen to completely agree with this & tried to; but my question to them was "alright, i grew up in los angeles... on an average day i would come across at least 5-6 different languages out of about the, oh, let's say, roughly 33 most common from around the world . so, how would you suggest i choose which ones specifically to concentrate on?"
an interesting corollary to this situation is that people who are raised & live in extremely multicultural environments are highly adept at being able to understand even heavily accented & very broken English simply because they've been doing it for their whole lives. we've heard the worst that can be done to the poor language, beyond just "incorrect / incomplete" all the way to "incomprehensibly mangled / acted upon with great malice". they also become very accomplished at interpreting & expressing body language and subtle communication cues; as well as becoming unusually empathic... the prefrontal cortex is an amazing system and to have so much of the brain devoted exclusively to human interaction & interpretation (nonverbal, much, if not most of it) it can get very, very good at it. and generally being able to get this point across without ever speaking the language lol...
A good set of bolt.cutters work real good and a nice.hammer also
Thanks for the tip
and a whole lot quicker

That's the BEST background music I've EVER heard on youtube!!!!! ♡♡♡

I'm sure a lot of thieves are thanking you for helping them open padlocks.
this is so basic it would not help thieves

I just don't get 4/5. Why make a copy of the key to open the lock when you already have the right key.
It's a surreptitious way that leaves no way to trace it back to you! There are many valid reasons for not being able to just go make a copy!
Use your head!
Making a graphite key is actually a good idea. Every time it's used, it lubricates the lock.
No. 4? If you already have a key, what's the point? It would be much easier to just go to the home store and have a key made!
Obviously you're a honest person. #4 can be used to make a print of a "borrowed" key when you don't have the time to go anywhere.
Thank you! Cheers!
