    Just found your program during the beginning of week 12 of my first pregnancy.
    I wish I would have found this sooner for earlier weeks but I am not sure I would have had enough energy to do them anyways.
    I’m excited, but I know I’ll have to adapt them and slow them down a bit since not feeling well my 1st trimester slowed me down.
    I seem to need to catch my breath a lot.

    I was struggling so hard with this video till I realized it wasn’t my balance that was off, it was my SHOES! My shoes were acting like a water slide for my feet. The right shoes are so important for this video

    • @glowbodypt
      @glowbodypt  4 місяці тому

      Totally true that if you have flat-bottomed shoes it will be hard to "grip!" I'd prefer you do this one barefoot or pick up a new pair of trainers! For trainers, you want to see "criss cross" type of forward and lateral pattern on the treads. You also want a WIDE toe box so your toes aren't all jammed against the sides. This allows for a natural foot splay and instantly improves your balance. Running shoes are different because they will mostly have straight, forward type treads which are more slippery. : )

    I love ALL of your workouts! I have a question though! So, I get an awesome burn in my calves, but my butt always hurts more than my calves haha! Sometimes my butt hurts so bad I can't do the holds all the way through. I make sure I'm relaxing my glutes and hamstrings and focus on contracting the calves as you say, but man my butt hurts haha! Is that normal? Or am I doing something wrong?
    PS - this is my third pregnancy and the first one I've worked out during. I am so glad to have found your videos! I feel so so much better this time around! 26 weeks today!

    I’m on baby #3 and haven’t worked my calves like this since 3rd trimester with our first in early 2018 haha. Just found you and your amazing program a few weeks ago. During this the soles of my feet were burning and cramping to the point I decided to remove my sneakers to finish the entire video.
    What do you recommend I do?
    Does this mean I should stretch my calves more? Or my feet?

  • @kirasilvanus
    @kirasilvanus 7 місяців тому

    This feels really good to do! Thank you for all your efforts. I'll take you up on that request for more video topics. I've been having a difficult time with balance anytime we do exercises where one leg is in front of the other (forward and backward lunges, etc.). I also think I struggle with making sure I'm activating my glute as opposed to my quad (perhaps my quads burn more because they're weaker? not sure). But I'd really like some guidance on balance and targeted muscle. Right now I'm 16 weeks and I can imagine that the bigger the belly gets, the more I might struggle with these two things. Hoping to get some strategies before then. Seriously thank you so much! Feel free to also direct me where to go!

    • @glowbodypt
      @glowbodypt  7 місяців тому

      Kira, it's not your fault you are struggling with balance right now at 16 wks along. Increased blood volume, added weight, widening pelvis due to relaxin hormone, and more maleable joints during pregnancy give ALL OF US reduced balance.

    Hey Ashley! I'm currently pregnant and due in 5 weeks. I've been following your prenatal workout since month 4 and it's been AWESOME, I feel strong and confident as the big day is getting close! As we were in lockdown here in France I used homemade dumbbells, which were approx. 1.5 kg (3.3 lb). I want to follow your postnatal plan too and invest in some real dumbbells :) However I don't know what weight I should go for...I'm quite athletic so I want the challenge, but I don't want to bulk up too much. • @glowbodypt
      @glowbodypt  Рік тому +1

      Hi Krystal, it's Ashley. Congrats to you on 28 weeks along! Your body can DOUBLE it's previous blood volume. This draws in much more water. More glycogen can be stored too, again, water space. There's a good chance you haven't added a ton of fat to your thighs and that you are just storing water bloat there! I'm confident that you have very strong muscles all over since you've been doing my Free Prenatal Program since delivery! Once you have your baby your blood volume and water retention will drop significantly in just the first 2 days. I think you'll find your thighs come down quickly and then even more so once we get you exercising again at 6 weeks pp on my 12 Week Post Pregnancy Plan. (Guidance and nutrition goal 1 start immediately postpartum on the plan, so get it once you're full term!) but the first official workout is reserved til you get the All Clear to resume exercise. : ) Congrats again Krystal!
