My mistake the Jimmie Johnson clip is the 2011 Talladega fall race. Not spring

They didn’t build Darrell’s engine to blow at the end of the race. They had a special part on the car called the “clutch pedal” that when you hold the throttle and clutch down at the same time there’s a magic process that happens blowing the engine…

Correction: It wasn't the 1983 Coca-Cola 600. It was the 1983 Miller High Life 500 where Richard Petty won, then was penalized

@@mbgmadbull1141 the Charlotte race in 1983 was the 198th win for Petty. Bill France Jr basically decided not to penalize the King because he was two wins away from 200 and it would make a really good story and marketing.
Petty’s 200th and last win would come at 1984 Firecracker 400 at Daytona

Junior didnt make the motor to blow up,,, DW, was told to pop it , if he won. He did, and multiple people heard DW rev it as high as it would go and blew it up as he went by the finish line.

The fact that people believe it was designed to blow instead of he was instructed to down shift and scatter it is extremely puzzling

@@54raceman Exactly, friend. Like an engine builder could design an engine to blow up just after it crosses the finish line.
But, how does the Christian driver justify this?

No one would be complaining about the "13th driver" if NASCAR just penalized Logano like they did to the MWR cars like they should have

The 24 intentionally spun a guy in front of him under caution, putting a fellow contender for the race win out of sight, out of mind. Got himself a spot by doing something illegal. Sounds like race manipulation to me.

the engine petty had was so miniscuely oversized that it would not have given him any advantage it wasent even half a cid the waltrip spoiler thing wasent really a cheat it broke during the race and it was only the outer half that broke something that would actually been a disadvantage to him as thats what keeps the car most stable in the turns

The way Jimmie was reacting to Chad telling him to crack the rear tells me Chad probably had to do a lot of convincing over the years to get Jimmie to be okay running possibly illegal cars. That clip just seems to show jimmie hating constantly being in the greyline of the rulebook

    For Elliot
    1 that wasn’t cheating it wasn’t planned.
2 nascar would’ve done this for any playoff driver in that situation. Plus aren’t you forgetting that all they care about it entertainment? Over the radio chase and Alan already discussed what would happen if they got back to harvick. Nascar wanted it to happen becuase they knew it would be talked about forever.
It wasn’t cheating and they didn’t do it becuase it was an Elliot
I get your a chase hater but get over it already. Nascar has screwed him plenty of times already. Screwing him out of wins out of good finishes. Why would they do that if he was their “favorite”? Unless you were king Richard your not getting nothing
