Description:
If you or a friend has a Jailbroken PlayStation Vita, a Sony Memory Card, and Wifi Internet, you can use that hacked Vita to mod another Vita!
If you have thought about Homebrew Enabling your Vita but don't want to lose games or access to the PSN store, trophies, etc... you should know that people play online with hacked Vitas. This guide shows how to switch over from 3.74 online to 3.60 online while spoofed as 3.74. It also shows how to keep save files and back up the game card to SD2Vita so that both the Memory Card and Game Card can be left at home.
This mod relies heavily on the Internet.

This download is really just the uploaded files from a memory card that hacked a vita using H-Encore2, VitaDeploy and VitaShell. You can easily recreate these files or add more apps to the rescue memory card. If you have a memory card with H-Encore2 and VitaDeploy, all you have to do is delete id.dat from the card and it will work on any updated vita that isn't registered in PSN - you don't need the zip.
This video requires:
A Jailbroken Vita using SD2VITA or PSVSD.
A Sony Vita Memory Card - Any Size.
Internet with WiFi and the password available.
A Vita or PSTV that hasn't been Jailbroken.
An SD2VITA and MicroSD for the new Vita.

Now it's 8 months later and I now own 10, one in every color!! I love them all!! And the last 3 I bought, one of them had a 8gb Vita sd save card. So I've got 3 Vitas jailbroken and instead of sending the others off and paying almost 200$ a piece for jailbreak,512 SD card, and loaded with games. I can do it ALL from another Vita!! Can you please break this down in simplest terms. I'm wanting to do this but am afraid of accidentally losing all the stuff I'm copying from my 512gb SD to my 8 gb Vita memory card. I own several slims and only 4 are jailbroken. I have 6 more Vita slims that aren't jailbroken and I have a Vita 8gb memory card and I got more SD cards and adapter's to make these jailbroken Vitas. These are all mine for personal use and preservation. I LOVE THE VITA slim!! I own almost every color and have cases for all of them! It's people like you that keep me interested in my Vita's and you keep things fresh too!! The Vita was just so far ahead of it's time that it's just now being pushed to it's capability. The PSP got lots more attention and I owned one of those too!! But the Vita is the pinnacle of handhelds by any major company! I suppose I'll eventually give in and get a high priced handheld emulator, but for now I'm sticking with my Vitas all day bro!!👍💯

You can do this with a 3G Vita and PSVSD. It installs the Micro SD card internally.
A Vita software dev (Silica) mentioned this is possible by attaching a USB drive to the top port and the original USB driver. I do want to test this but haven't

I recently learned that larger than 300GB cards don't do well with the SD2VITA plugin that I'm using in the video (YAMT).
If you want to use 400GB to 2TB cards, you want to use the Storage Manager plugin (very easy to change). This plugin is a little slower than YAMT but works fine.
The Vita itself does start acting strange with large builds though. I prefer 256GB cards as it's safe and the Vita runs smooth.
SanDisk is better for the Vita as it uses the most common drivers. The Vita won't care about card speed (all cards are faster than the vita), but if you get a fast card the computer can copy to/from it faster with a USB adapter.
I use SanDisk Extreme, SanDisk Ultra and PNY cards 128GB - 512GB. I don't recommend the SanDisk High Endurance... they break. The Samsung Evo cards supposedly don't work with YAMT - so avoid.

I have a question if I setup the sd2vita with the vitadeploy method can I still take out the micro sd card and put in a usb/micro sd adapter to transfer over the games if I don’t want to use the ps vita cable
Yes!
StorageMgr is the other common SD2VITA storage option to YAMT (installed in AutoPluginII).
The files on the MicroSD are the same between YAMT and StorageMgr. You can use a MicroSD from YAMT in StorageMgr and you can use a MicroSD from StorageMgr in YAMT.

@@eduardogonzalez-xr9dj Just fully off (light stops blinking). Best if you put it back in before turning it back on - but it will be fine either way.

1 switch memory card back to uxo
2 fully power off and remove sd2vita
3 put micro sd in the adapter and copy games in
4 put sd back into sd2vita and in the vita
5 power up vita and set sd2vita as uxo and power off and back on and check vitashell

unlink memory card is the key. im using for years now since i got my multiple vitas or someone wants me to jailbreak their vita (if i dont want to use pc), and im always using unlink memory card because im keep swapping my memory card or sd2vita to my other vita or vitatv

@@anderxale1 yeah. i found some post in groups that they accidentally format or lost their hack, they rehack it using qcma in normal method but unsuccessful, they found out that the issue is update blocker is enable, so they will need to follow a bit complicated steps to rehack their vita
@@riuneharu Yeah, I've had to help with that too. Luckily there is updating from recovery mode - otherwise you can get locked 3.65 without update for account and without account for qCMA.

It requires a Jailbroken Vita to make the memory card.
With a Jailbroken Vita you can make the card. Then if that same vita loses it's jailbreak (wiped or updated), yes you can use the card to jailbreak the same vita that made the card.

Yes! A hacked vita is still needed to put hacking software on a Vita card.
You can then take that card and put it in any non hacked vita or PSTV and permanently or temporarily hack it.

@@bobtim9742 You only need the original memory card to hack the Vita this way. (you also need the hacked vita to set up the original memory card).
What is your end goal? A hacked vita that uses Original Vita game cards?

@@bobtim9742 You have a few options. What Vita do you have? Slim? OLED1000 (wifi) or OLED1100 (3G)?
If you have a 3G fat model (says model 1100 on the back instead of 1000) then you can add storage AND use game cards. To set this up you need to do a complicated vita open and install a card - this operation can break the Vita. If you have this 3G model and don't want to risk this operation then you can also use all below.
If you want to use game cards and you have a slim vita or a wifi model (model 1000 on the back) then you have to use official Vita Memory Card as storage. Vita Memory Cards only go up to 64Gb so that's like 30 games... But 64GB cards are VERY expensive. $120
Another thing you can do is just hack it to make the storage with the SD card in the game slot. Then just install the games that you own on game cards onto the SD card (like this video). You won't need to use the game cards anymore and can keep your save data if you do it correctly.
Finally, you CAN install the hacked SD card storage to the game slot for installing games and switch to game cards when you want to play those games. Whenever you want to play a Official Game Cards you can turn off the SD storage settings option, turn the vita off, change the SD card to the game card, then turn the vita back on. To switch back you would need to do the reverse - turn the SD card storage option on, turn the vita off, replace the game card with the SD card, turn the vita on.
Is this possible without a sd2vita?
Yes!
Without setting up SD2Vita (leave "use YAMT" off) the memory card will be storage just like a non-jailbroken Vita - if no memory card is in then internal memory on SLIM and PSTV will be storage.

I'm not entirely positive - I'm just doing what worked for me so far.
I believe the user account has to be gone in order to use another user's user specific save information for the HEncore2 exploit.
Can HEncore2 created with a save file for the user 'Incredathon' exploit another Vita with a different PSN user attached? I think it doesn't work for the save file and the user ID doesn't match. No user and it adopts the save. Testing...

the vita, will infact only complain about trophies if the save account is wrong.
even though ...there is no way to transfer saves from another user .. under normal usage.
the only point where its possbile is if you have one of those gamecarts that have savedata included on them-

Would want it modded like crazy though, I have a wish list of mods, some for fun and some needed. I am too old now and don't have the time to tinker around. If you are interested let me know, we can discuss all the mods and come up with a price that is worth you while.
Just a heads up I am very particular in what I want.

HDMI out is maybe possible... but probably too tough for my ability. It would be randomly trying to connect 19 wires again and again... It's much easier to make a dock using a Raspberry Pi that can output to to the TV. Or use a PSTV and just mirror the saves on both Vita and PSTV.
It would be fun to see a list and try to do it. I own a lot of Vitas... Might resurrect the idea of selling modded Vitas on eBay linked to the channel so buyers can see the work. Hmmm
I did want to try attaching Nintendo switch sticks. The SLIM Vita's sticks have the same number of connections without R3 but the OLED has 2 extra - it's a different technology for the sticks between the OLED and the SLIM. If I can get a switch stick working, that means I can get Switch style Hall Effect sticks.
R2 & L2 - and R3 & L3 are possible - easier with Switch sticks if they are possible. Otherwise I already have buttons that go under the current Vita sticks. But for R2 & L2 triggers I can't think of a good button paddle combo that would look good or even feel good. I have a neat idea to try but... I've never finished this mod. I use a "Top Player" L2 R2 grip that does a similar thing to this mod and I find it very comfortable... so I lost interest.
I hope and believe that I have a working battery mod idea - I have all the parts and I'm trying this out tonight or tomorrow. Currently Vita battery mods are not consistent or reliable without manually correcting the Vita.
But if you list your wish list, I might try it just for fun. Might make videos on it or maybe not. You would see it - maybe we could work out a price based on if you want the final product and how much time went into it.

Yep, you don't have to reinstall anything. This is just an example to migrate a user, their games, saves and PSN to a SD2Vita without a PC.

But a week after uploading these videos, another user told me that you don't actually have to remove the psn account before Jailbreak using this download (don't have to System Restore) - I tested and it's true.
I'll be updating the video and release it again as a much shorter method but also release an offline version of the jailbreak memory card.

I think if you have firmware lower than 3.73 you can use this method hack vita with enso, since latest is 3.74 and downgrade is broken. At least untill skgleba updates modoru for 3.74. Ps edit: i was thinking about hacking without a psn account... Offline qmca update to 3.73 and use the hackmc trick from there with spoofing to 3.74
This card works again. New link. 3.73 Hencore2 works on 3.74.
The new version of VitaDeploy (1.01) using tiny Modoru 2.1 works to downgrade.
The windows software FinalHE (that builds HEncore2 for us and sends to the vita) needs a one character update. It's the last issue.
We still need real Modoru to update though - to help the offline Vitas.
