MrMario YAMT would be more boot fast, easy to install and for us more clean GUI but for some people that won't like to do more extra steps or have a good memory card size with extra games it's more handly switch sd2vita app and easily switch storage.
IDK about Samsung EVO cards. I use one (128 gb) and YAMT via vitadeploy works excellent. Although i completely wiped and formated everything, reseting my vita. P.S. i also updated to 3.65 from 3.60.
@@Matanumi I to didn't notice anything that wouldn't work. Vitadeploy just defaulted to 3.65 (well it showed something like "hey you on 3.60, wanna update to 3.65?") so i've gone with it.
Vita error code c4-13901-4 when connect USB to PC/ Android Box As the title mentioned, I can't have any data transfer via USB (the cable) because the PC not even recognize (no sound or notification at all) when plugged in. Whether I was using Vitashell USB mode or Content Manager, it just the same. But the strangely my Vita was able to detect whether the USB is connected or not and the charging is ok. My Vita is PCH-1000 with Henkaku-Enso FW 3.60, using SD2VITA 512GB San Disk Micro SD card mounted via YAMT Lite plugin. Also got Sony Memory Card 8GB. I did: 1) Change different new USB cables (5 cables so far by various brands) 2) format the Sony Memory Card 3) Insert and remove the Sony Memory Card 4) reinstall Henkaku-Enso including Taihen 5) Shift between Storagemgr and YAMT Lite 6) Rebuild Database 7) Check the external side of charging port, seems ok, no bent pins. EVERYTHING ELSE IS WORKING FINE INCLUDING FTP MODE

Hey Mr Mario, your videos are great and I've been following them but I've had an issue. So I managed to do the jailbreak with Henkaku and Enso just great in your other video, amazing vid btw. However I'm having an issue with YAMT, so I format my SD2Vita as instructed and then reboot the device then proceed to input the YAMT settings. I have a 1000 Model and have the 1GB "Internal Storage", no memory card. I selected Memory Card for ux0 and SD2Vita for uma0...I reboot and all homebrew apps are gone and my settings no longer indicate that I have a 1GB "memory card". Oddly enough when I remove the SD2Vita from the slot and reboot all my apps are gone. Should I select internal storage for ux0? I haven't gone and done it as I'm scared to brick my Vita. Please help, love your work!! Edit: I took a gamble and set it to default as I assumed that it would just utilise a previous setting under default for ux0 and it worked! Thanks very much for your awesome videos!
wow i actually understood that one. i just wanted to upgrade to a bigger sd card and getting a bit frustrated why uma0 wasn't showing. i was planning to use vita deploy to format the card by installing it to the internal memory. a bit reluctant since i saw many comments that it doesn't work. this storageformat seems a safer bet.
10:11 I Need Help I did it the first Time and it formatted just fine but when i turned my vita off and insted the sd card into my pc using an adapter to put some files in and inserted it into sd2vita adapter and pluggin into vita and turned it on and to my horror none of the homebrew apps were showing and now the sd2vita card wont format says "format failed, please reboot (C1-2755-9) I think my sd2vita adapter has turned faulty and I waited the whole day for it too.😥 i have also tried jailbreaking from scrach, used diffrent sd card but no diffrence whatsoever.
Little note about Samsung Evo compatibility. According to the official guide, they specifically mention the RED Sasmung Evo cards. There is also green and yellow colors. Is having a color other tjan red the reason why a lot of people has success with it? Maybe, maybe not but I'm curious.

So from my own further testing here I do not recommend trying to use any 1TB microSD cards with your Vita. It will freeze. A lot. 512GB and make sure its good quality, like A2 Class 10 Sandisk Extreme Pro. Heck even a 400GB one is safer if you can still find one at that size. I used YAMT's built in formatting tool. Further testing here shows that StorageMgr is stable when using a 1TB microSD card, not YAMT. Which sucks because YAMT has a nice built in storage manager under Devices in settings, and StorageMgr does not.
i followed the video before this for modding the Vita with 3.60 and R+YAMT and it worked perfect thank you. but didnt that already install yamt? do i still need to download and install these yamt and storageformat things from this video? when i go to storage devices in settings i seem to have these optionsat the 11:02 spot of the video already

Ok. So you wanna copy from a 64GB to a higher capacity SD right? The 64GB will be the source SD, the new SD will be the target one. Ok so copy ALL the files of the Source (64GB) SD card to your PC. (I recommend copying inside a folder, named something like Vita backup) then on the Target SD card (New SD card) you put all those files there. (NOTE: YOU ALSO NEED TO COPY THE PROTECTED SYSTEM FILES)
that last step on turning your vita off before removing the sd2vita card helped me a lot. figured this is why all my files got corrupted eventually. transferring all my games now to the app folder and hopefully this works. got like 70gb of games. thanks once again, will update this comment if it works.

When I get to setting the YAMT settings about 11min into the video, my apps don't stay on reboot so I can't transfer my stuff from uxO to umaO. Did I miss something?
if you have a custom bootsplash or message and got stuck while booting, turn it off completely mid-way, and then hold the power button with the L trigger. Keep holding them both until you see the login menu. Voila.
After doing this, will official games from the ps store/psn download directly to the sd2vita as ux0? Edit: apologies for even more questions - as you gave the example about adding PSP games, does Adrenaline have to be installed to play them, or will they be able to be read/played by the cfw Vita directly?

Help! Yamt seems to work but it is not creating the uma0 directory. All my internal storage files like molecular shell are gone but in settings it does say my storage is higher. How do I transfer my internal storage to the sd2vita on my PS Vita 2000?

@mrMario2011 Hi, I have a PS Vita with firmware 3.60 formatted without access to a PSN account. Can I directly install Henkaku, without having to update to 3.73 and create a PSN account? or do I necessarily have to associate the console with a PSN ID?
Copying takes forever to happen on my Vita.. You did mention that it could take a while to do so, but the copy speed varies wildly from several thousand kb/s to less than 100. For whatever reason as soon as it hits the 15% mark the transfer rate takes a huge nosedive and it slows to such a crawl.
In VitaShell I get Error 0x80010005 when trying to copy files to SD2VITA using Sandisk Ultra PLUS 128GB, tried a fresh 64GB card of the same brand and got the same result. I've rebooted and reformatted the cards multiple times but just when I think the error isn't going to come back it pops up. Running Henkaku-Enso 3.60 on PSTV Model VTE1001. Edit: For anyone else that gets this error it is from copying too many files. So copy a few folders at a time and it will work.
@@elianyolcu6059 I depends the size of the folders. The error is from copying too large a quantity I think. Try doing the bigger folders one by one but a lot of the smaller ones should work fine if you group them up. I also went in my apps folder and copied all that stuff 3-5 at a time because if you have a lot in the apps folder it will always give you an error when you trying copying the whole thing over.
when i try to format the sd2vita, it gives me a An error has occured in the system software c2-12828-1 error, Im using the 1000 vita, anyone knows how to fix this error?
Just a question. What’s the point of downloading YAMT through the computer then transferring onto the console when you can simply just download it on the console itself.
Video too long using blank image is much faster and easier since you have to connect to pc via usb using vitashell you trasfer files straight after fornating on pc which saves you a lot of steps you have done At the end just plug sd2vita on you console and set it with autoplugin 2 with 1 click I find that way much faster and easier
So I’m trying to install YAMT, and when I turned “Use YAMT” and deleted the uxo to be the memory card and the umao to SD2Vita and when I turned off my psvita and turned it back on, none on my apps are there, and I’m so confused :/
I followed you instructions step by step and when I reinserted the sd2vita and booted up my console it asked me to format my memory card so i clicked no. Now I'm missing everything i installed including henkaku and the henkaku settings so my console is back to the latest firmware and not 3.65. I would really appreciate some help
@Jon Snow what I did was after I gave up for lil bit I decided to reinsert the sd2vita and all my stuff appeared like normal. So maybe just take it out and reinsert it and hopefully that works for you.
i did everything properly but it keeps telling me to format the memory card. even if i press format it gets stuck on a loop until i take the sd2vita out and when i do it just formats the internal storage. how do i fix this? ps: i tried the storage manager method too, same thing

Help, i put the sd card in my vita and it has worked and recognised it but i cant figure out how to connect it w computer. i tried using vita shell but it comes up with my old 4gb vita card. i need to keep 4gb inserted bc vita shell wont work and idk what to do
I get as far as 12:12 but once i open vitashell i dont see my sdcard in the list nor uma0 i really dont understand why i see the microsdcard in my laptop with an adapter, it's formatted as exepected and is exfat edit: ok i somehow got it working. i bought another sd2vita in case it was broken, but it made no difference i tried a number of different things and tried different storage related apps, and then did a reset of the config in YAMT and im not 100% if that's the thing that fixed it but now i see uma0

Hey! I just wanted to say i followed your last video and it worked great! Im only having one issue now. I open vitashell and hit select and it does USB mode. A folder Pops up on my PC but under vitashell all i have is : bookmarks, internal, language, module, recent, theme and then a settings.txt. Im not sure how to view my Vitashell options on my pc? :/ I can use HBB and stuff, and i have the permanent hack for 3.60. Not sure what i am missing :/

I believe you'll have to do the "unkink memory card" option in the settings menu every time, but yes. You should able to find an answer via Google (probably a reddit post).
I'm trying to install YAMT on my second device. In storageFormat, I'm getting the error "Format failed, please reboot (C1-2755-9). Do you have any idea what is the cause? I tried some troubleshooting and nothing worked (reformated, changed allocation size) My bet is my microSD card is not compatible even though it's Sandisk. The official guide also says if it doesn't work use storagemgr (what I used on my first device)
How can I format the internal storage to mount SD as uxo without loosing vitashell and other apps? Remember we used some part of the ad as internal storage on ps Vita 1000

I went from 3.60 to 3.65.... both seem to work just fine but 3.65 can play later firmware games without issue or additionalbplugins

Yup, followed the tutorial and getting a C1-2755-9 error format failed, using the same kind of SD card
Turns out there may have been an issue with the card reader in the vita as getting another vita worked out. Using the same adapter and SD card

If all set up properly, this is just copying from one storage to another at the end. No items should need to be refreshed.

Copying takes forever to happen on my Vita.. You did mention that it could take a while to do so, but the copy speed varies wildly from several thousand kb/s to less than 100. For whatever reason as soon as it hits the 15% mark the transfer rate takes a huge nosedive and it slows to such a crawl.
Same thing is happening to me right now, went from like 6000 kps to like 13
In VitaShell I get Error 0x80010005 when trying to copy files to SD2VITA using Sandisk Ultra PLUS 128GB, tried a fresh 64GB card of the same brand and got the same result. I've rebooted and reformatted the cards multiple times but just when I think the error isn't going to come back it pops up. Running Henkaku-Enso 3.60 on PSTV Model VTE1001.
Edit: For anyone else that gets this error it is from copying too many files. So copy a few folders at a time and it will work.
I still get this error even if i just copy 6 folders. Is this still too much?
@@elianyolcu6059 I depends the size of the folders. The error is from copying too large a quantity I think.
Try doing the bigger folders one by one but a lot of the smaller ones should work fine if you group them up. I also went in my apps folder and copied all that stuff 3-5 at a time because if you have a lot in the apps folder it will always give you an error when you trying copying the whole thing over.
when i try to format the sd2vita, it gives me a An error has occured in the system software c2-12828-1 error, Im using the 1000 vita, anyone knows how to fix this error?

YAMT didn't work on my 3G model so I used Autoplugin II to switch between memory cards. Just in case YAMT doesn't work for some of you.
Just a question. What’s the point of downloading YAMT through the computer then transferring onto the console when you can simply just download it on the console itself.

using blank image is much faster and easier since you have to connect to pc via usb using vitashell you trasfer files straight after fornating on pc which saves you a lot of steps you have done
At the end just plug sd2vita on you console and set it with autoplugin 2 with 1 click
I find that way much faster and easier
So I’m trying to install YAMT, and when I turned “Use YAMT” and deleted the uxo to be the memory card and the umao to SD2Vita and when I turned off my psvita and turned it back on, none on my apps are there, and I’m so confused :/
I followed you instructions step by step and when I reinserted the sd2vita and booted up my console it asked me to format my memory card so i clicked no. Now I'm missing everything i installed including henkaku and the henkaku settings so my console is back to the latest firmware and not 3.65. I would really appreciate some help
@Jon Snow what I did was after I gave up for lil bit I decided to reinsert the sd2vita and all my stuff appeared like normal. So maybe just take it out and reinsert it and hopefully that works for you.
i did everything properly but it keeps telling me to format the memory card. even if i press format it gets stuck on a loop until i take the sd2vita out and when i do it just formats the internal storage. how do i fix this? ps: i tried the storage manager method too, same thing
You might need to do it manually with a PC with the zzBlank.img image.

edit: ok i somehow got it working. i bought another sd2vita in case it was broken, but it made no difference
i tried a number of different things and tried different storage related apps, and then did a reset of the config in YAMT and im not 100% if that's the thing that fixed it but now i see uma0
Can u switch back and forth from on sd2vita to another. Say you have two 512gb sd cards with games on them… is there a way to be able to switch those out easily?

You can, but I'd at least keep the YAMT app.

Im only having one issue now. I open vitashell and hit select and it does USB mode. A folder Pops up on my PC but under vitashell all i have is : bookmarks, internal, language, module, recent, theme and then a settings.txt. Im not sure how to view my Vitashell options on my pc? :/ I can use HBB and stuff, and i have the permanent hack for 3.60. Not sure what i am missing :/

I believe you'll have to do the "unkink memory card" option in the settings menu every time, but yes. You should able to find an answer via Google (probably a reddit post).

I'm trying to install YAMT on my second device. In storageFormat, I'm getting the error "Format failed, please reboot (C1-2755-9). Do you have any idea what is the cause? I tried some troubleshooting and nothing worked (reformated, changed allocation size)
My bet is my microSD card is not compatible even though it's Sandisk. The official guide also says if it doesn't work use storagemgr (what I used on my first device)
You might need to manually format it in your PC using the .img file method that had to be done for StorageMgr
Turns out it's probably the adapter. storagemgr did not work either. Also did not work on the vita I previously installed storagemgr on.
yamt seems to be working on the green evo card i have. instructions says doesnt work on the red ones.

Just set this up. I do have a couple physical Vita games. I can still play those as long as I power off the system before swapping cartridges right?
