@@blainelocklair Blaine quick question? Henkaku won't show in settings. But I did exactly what you said. I have a 2000 Vita with no memory card.
@@ajmjdj123 you need a card for the hack to work. You can find these on those photo cameras, but backup the content from card, and wipe the card.
I'm getting mine soon, was prepping for a hard time.

For those struggling with vita deploy replacing near, turn off spoofing in settings then reboot now your browser won't crash, then replace near with vdep again. Also since I didn't see anyone mentioning it PKGj is for downloading everything like games, themes and dlc, once downloaded open it then it will tell you to refresh, once refreshed it will show everything.
Is it legal to download the games from PKGJ ?

I've been wanting to do this for years, but wanted to wait until the community had it down to a science, since I'm not a tech savvy person.

I already had the 1000 model done the PC way .. but when I seen we can do it this way .. I went to a pawnshop bought a 2000 model and literally jailbroke it during my 15 minute break at work .. the simplicity of this is crazy 👌
Can you use a regular ps vita memory card for the 2000? My 2000 is coming this week and i just wanna be sure i buy the right card. The adapter is only needed if i wanna expand storage?
@@joseh9031 correct, that’s exactly what I did … I did the jailbreak with the regular Memory card then ordered the adapter to expand memory

A follow up: Just now getting around to my Vita modding right now. The WiiU and 3DS are both set up and amazing! But ive never been a huge Nintendo fan so taking the risk and modding those was whatever.. But my Vita is my baby and im so scared! But.. here we go! just wanted to say thanks again! loved these vids. Also ordered that memory card and a 256gb usb drive for my old PS2 thanks to your vid! lol.
My PSTV didn't have VitaShell after some funky hacking about a year ago, so I felt all was lost in terms of being able to hack it and use Vita Shell. Henkaku couldn't reinstall. Then, I updated my firmware and used this guide, and now it all works! Thanks, and subscibed!

Thanks for the guide I was able to install CFW for the first time!
Do note if you have legitmate copies of PSP games delete them before the install! you will have to redownload them from the PSN store after the CFW install is complete.

How’s it going I’ve been wanting to jb my 1k but I’m not sure
I made my vita one time "brick" if u try to turn it off it will be doing forever so i just hold power button for 30 seconds and clicked disc format
I had to format memory from too many plugins. The installation for henkaki got stuck for me & bricked. Holding the power button is not doing anything 😩

Hey Blaine! I modded my vita with the steps from your video. Thanks a bunch! Very easy to follow. I’ve already gotten a lot of use out of adrenaline and PKGJ. I’m having one issue though. I heard that you could emulate using homebrew but my vita db downloader doesn’t work. Every time I load the app it crashes. Any fixes or work arounds?
When you launch and it freezes, wait a couple of minutes for it to fully boot up

Vita Shell is a file browser that lets you transfer files via USB or FTP.
This is exactly what I have been waiting for! My Vita 1000 is broken and doesn't read official memory cards. For the longest time it was unjailbreakable, because of the broken memcard slot. I heard about this exploit about 6 or 7 months back, but thought it would never come out and I almost gave in and bought a new Vita. Now I can jb my Vita without a memcard. This literally resurrected my Vita.

@@davidgill7412 It went well! I was able to jailbreak my Vita and install IMCUnlock to create a 1gb internal memory card partition, then downgrade to 3.60 and install the Enso permanent custom firmware all without a memory card.

@@davidgill7412 Thanks! I had my Vita jailbroken a while back, back around the 3.65 days, but unfortunately my memcard slot broke. It's been roughly 2 years since I've used it because of that. Now I can finally catch up on the latest Vita ports.

This video seems to end without saying what VitaShell does. Once I've downloaded that onto my console, can I download games onto it directly from the Vita? Or do I still have to find roms on a PC and port them over via USB? Any help would be amazing thanks all!
That's what I was going to ask, i'm assuming you have to transfer the roms over
On vitashell gives you access to the files in your memory card, you’ll have to do some research on how to learn how to use it better it can be overwhelming sometimes. But you’ll see when some tutorials will ask you to download zipzilla to your pc to be able to access every file in your memory card or internal storage.

Thanks very much, after i got a new memory card, my vita completely revered itself from homebrew. Its fixed now :D
I replaced near with vitadeploy and installed 3.65. After the restart it only opens near and no longer vitadeploy. The map of near also says vitadeploy at the bottom left. Reinstalling doesn't work either, because a browser error always comes up on the deploy page. What should I do?
just had the same problem, what i did was went into the henkaku settings, changed my spoofed version to 3.65 and then went back the the browser and replaced near with vitadeploy again and it works now. hope this helps

Thank you for tutorial! Does your rear camera work after hack? I recently started playing Tearaway and noticed that camera is not working when it was needed in game. After that I opened Camera app and it was just a black screen as well with disabled "capture" button. Front camera works both in game and in the Camera app.
when i plug my sd card into the computer it is empty i think everything downloaded to my vita as opposed to the sd card. any solutions? i have a ps vita 2000
Hello and first of all congratulations for what you are doing with your channel! I followed your guide but since I don't have an internal memory I had to replace Near with VitaDeploy (after installing Henkaku). The system restarted and after restarting, since i couldn't find the Henkaku Settings, i restarted the exploit from the browser to reinstall Henkaku a second time and then clicked on Exit. Then I installed Enso and when I restart my console I can no longer run VitaDeploy (the name of the app still is on my Home menu (the name is "vdep") but the icon of the app is the icon of the Near app and if I try to run the app it starts Near). After installing Enso the browser doesn't work anymore and i can't install VitaDeploy anymore. Please help me if you can! :( thank you

I’m having the same issue except henkaku setting is poping up for me but after installing the firmware 3.65 it restarted and now near is loading up after the firmware update

That confirmation text is the only thing stopping me from trying this out, I genuinely love my vita so much it's my favourite handheld and I don't wanna permanently destroy it when I already have so many games on it, also it wouldn't surprise me if sony eventually started banning PSN accounts that jailbreak their consoles, even the vita

I had this error to, click settings in the browser clear cookies and the other thing, close your browser and power it off and restart it and it worked after that.
