A lot of the songs that Paul wrote in those days were about his wife Linda. He and Linda we're inseparable. He stayed with her through cancer until she passed away. A true love story. ❤️🥰❤️

One thing I love about music is it can take on different meanings to the listener. :) I can see them thinking if it as a love song to their children. Bon Jovi’s “Living On a Prayer” helped me through my mother’s battle and ultimate death to cancer… but the song was nothing about that. 😀
This song is about how his wife Linda helped him through the breakup of the Beatles how she got him out of his depression and told him you have talent without the other guys and got him to get on stage again with Wings his group in the 70s
Funny thing about Linda. I always thought she was just riding on the wings (pardon that sad pun) of McCartney but when looked back on her time with Paul, I found she was such a big factor in his life and in the music after the Beatles. Thanks for that lil tidbit. I never knew that. I just thought it was a song dedicated to her and wishy washy but still good. Wings was a great group-loved their music! She was actually a talent in her own way and a big contributor (in my eyes) to Wings. Such a great woman!
Paul sings on the Beatles HARDEST song that they ever made called "Helter Skelter". He really belts it out on that track. It is a must react for a new Beatles fan.
One could argue over the hardest Beatles rock song- While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Hey Bulldog, Revolution, I am the Walrus and I Want You, She's So Heavy are certainly hard rocking songs. And the instrumental 12-Bar Original had a deep and heavy feel with some great guitar jamming.
Great Song by Sir Paul McCartney❤ Paul McCartney wrote this song about his wife Linda, who died of breast cancer in 1998. McCartney never wavered in his love for Linda, and even made her part of his band so she could tour with him. "Maybe I'm Amazed" was written in 1969 just after The Beatles broke up. McCartney credits Linda with helping him get through this difficult time. Solo..check out Jet, Band on the Run

@@lylekatz2482 I first hear that album when I was 9 years old, my dad had the original vinyl he purchased when it first came out. My dad got to see them live when he was a young teen. Abby Road and Revolver are my two personal favorites, but I also like Sgt Pepper and Rubber Soul.
Finding Linda, marrying and having his children helped Paul through the trauma of the Beatles ending, and his crazy level of fame. It was love. Check out this song live.
I'm 70 years old, been a Beatles fan since day one, as well the solo songs after they broke up. One of my favorite songs is Oh! Darling !! Paul did such an absolutely great job on it. You heard the grit he has with this song Maybe I'm Amazed, well buckle up buttercups for shear joy when you finally choose Oh! Darling to react to. Please do. Please do.❤️
Helter Skelter! There's a rockin' Beatles song that actually outdoes Revolution for how hard it goes, as least for the Beatles. I would LOVE for you two to react to that one!
When that first picture of Linda McCartney his beloved first wife who passed away , an involuntary tear rolled down my cheek . She was the love of his life . Though bittersweet , a quote occurs to me “It’s better to have loved and lost than never have loved at all “… RIP LINDA whom this song was about . 👍🏴
One of my moments in life: Was at a David Bowie concert in 1973. I was standing in an open area and in walked Paul & Linda McCartney. I stood 5 feet from them, and as others saw them they approached but did just as I did. They stood around them and we watched Bowie together. A feeling I'll never forget. Had to share.
@@Jackson-jd1um It was amazing. That is one time I wish I had a cell phone or camera. My hubby had the camera at the stage taking pics of Bowie. In my opinion, he missed the best part of the concert. lol
“Oh! Darling” really showcases his vocal range as a Beatle, and solo or with his band ‘Wings’, I recommend “Band On The Run”, “With A Little Luck”, and “Coming Up”, very fun songs.
"Maybe I'm Amazed" is a song written by Paul McCartney, that was first released on his 1970 debut solo album. He wrote this beautiful song to his late wife Linda, since he credited her for helping him through those difficult times of his life. Specially, after the break-up of the Beatles. You can hear in this song the passion and the love he felt for his wife, Linda. 👏
PS---my favorite song by solo George Harrison is "My Sweet Lord". You may want to check out. Each of the Beatles had truly unique solo sounds. So even though it broke people's hearts when the Beatles broke up, it was also a blessing as we were blessed to hear each of them do their own thing in their own way and even more beautiful music to listen too.
Paul is the best - check out the Beatles’ song, “Oh Darling” for more amazing Paul vocals. Paul sings lots of lead vocals with the Beatles and sings all the high harmonies. In “Maybe I’m Amazed”, Paul is singing about his wife, Linda, who got him through the Beatles’ break up. Check out Paul’s solo song, “My Love” also written about Linda.
I second this recommendation. Listen to "Oh Darling", "Helter Skelter" and "I've got a feeling" for heavier side of McCartney. For "Oh Darling" he came in to the studio every day for several weeks to get his voice hoarse enough to nail the song the way he wanted it. Helter Skelter is also considered one of the first hard rock songs.
Paul was severely depressed when the Beatles broke up. He’d been trying like heck to keep them together. It was the only job he’d ever known. He felt his career was over. He dove into drinking and would barely get out of bed. His wife, Linda, convinced him he could still write songs and continue his career. He formed his next band, Wings, with her, and went on to a super successful career post-Beatles, becoming the most successful recording artist of all time. This song is about how Linda saved him.
Well, I don’t think so. McCartney released this solo album and trumped John Lennon by releasing a single statement about leaving the Beatles. John actually wanted to leave before Paul, and Paul convinced him not to for the moment and then he did this. This ruined their relationship for a long time. You need to cite a source for your statements, because I have never read this in any Beatles biography. This sounds like a McCartney Fan Club version of events.
@@divaofscience I love his solo career. Also, he wrote a ton of the beatles songs too. He lennon and collaborated, but paul actually did write more songs than john. I like like the songs that paul came up with a little more as well. His melodies were insane. Lennon seemed to wrote the more edgy stuff. I love John too, but Paul is my favorite Beatle. "Silly Love Songs" is a great song from Paul's solo career. I love "band on the run", "my love" and "just another day" too.
Sorry guys, this song is about how much he loved his wife, Linda Eastman. She was an amazing celebrity photographer when they met and she was asked to photograph the Beatles, which she really didn't want to do, but her boss told her she had to. The upshot of that was meeting Paul and becoming the keyboard player in his band and his wife.
You guys are so young it's too cute , you got to understand that there has literally been no other band like the Beatles, you guys could just react to Beatles songs for a month and never come across the same sound twice
Yeah. There's the old saying about fame being fleeting .. the Beatles were for a long time the greatest band on the planet Earth .. the band members the most famous clebs on planet Earth .. and these two youngsters ae going .. "Oh .. he sounds good ..." :)
Yup. All 4 members of the band LOVED music, so their songs cover so many genres. At one point in Hamburg they had something like 260 songs down pat to play live.
Full disclosure here, John was my favourite Beatle but this song is a beautiful tribute to the love of his life, Linda. She died way too young of course but their love was so strong. Joe Garza, I totally agree with you...they are very young but I'm surprised they didn't get that he was singing this song to Linda, not his child. I had the pleasure of seeing Paul McCartney 12 yrs ago, outdoor concert, 30,000/40,0000 people or more and when he sang " My love" , you could have heard a pin drop. It was beautiful ❤ one of the best concerts I've seen !
From "Yesterday" to "Helter Skelter", Pauls voice is profound. He sang this song about his wife too. Their love was epic but she died of cancer, I believe. They had only been married for 30 or close to 30 years. He loved her.
Yes indeed, I am so in love with Sir Paul and have been all my life! I just love love love his music, his voice, his dedication to music, songwriting, and of course his beautiful family, as on display in this touching video... I love No More Lonely Nights, and Take It Away, they are two of my all times faves!💖 Love the pics of little Stella too! A few solo songs from McCartney and Lennon to consider in the future: McCartney - Band On The Run, Live and Let Die. Lennon: Instant Karma, Working Class Hero. Also, yes, the Beatles had some rather explicit songs that they packaged around some great tunes: Why Don't We Do It In The Road and Come Together.
McCartney has perhaps the greatest vocal range in history. Rock, ballad, metal, Country, soul, R&B, funk, disco, showband, hillbilly, skiffle, music hall, house. You name a style, he's more than likely sung it perfectly and effortlessly.
Guys, have a listen to "Helter Skelter", "Long Tall Sally" and "Got To Get You Into My Life". You´ll know the impressive range of McCartney´s voice. You do a great job! Congratulations!
What is truly "amaz-ing" is that Paul plays all the instruments on the entire McCartney" (1) album, all of them on every song. He recorded things on separate tracks and then mixed them together, the guy is incredible!
Paul has (had) a 4.5-5 octave range and hisvoice is soooo versatile, I'm always amazed! Paul went into a bit of a funk after the breakup, this song is a tribute to his wife and how she pushed him to carry on. He plays all the instruments on the entire album!
At his peak,he could not be beaten vocally. Even now in his twilight years, his writing ability and musicianship is so strong. Mother nature has diminished his voice but he is full to the brim with musicality.
One of my absolute favorite McCartney tunes! "Uncle Albert / Admiral Halsey" from the same album is an unexpectedly great song. Even John Lennon liked it, which says a lot. ;)
Let it Be is one of Paul’s masterpieces, doesn’t get any better. John and Paul combine in “A Day in the Life” one of the greatest songs ever composed, with a touch of psychedelics.
"Four thousand holes in Blackburn, Lancashire" Only Lennon and McCartney could get away with singing about holes in a northern town! Along with "I am the walruss" , 2 of my favourite Beatles songs
as i have gotten oler and continued to listen to Beatles/McCartney, I have really appreciated Pauls vocal ability. His tone and range and style are unmatched. One of my favorite songs that has been covered by thousands, but NEVER have matched the beauty of “Yesterday” when Paul sings it, in all it’s simplicity is perfection
When John invited Paul to join his band in Liverpool back in 1957 one of the things about John found attractive about this kid who was nearly 2 years younger was Paul's ability to do the Little Richard scream. Both young men were huge fans of Little Richard and when Paul pulled that off John was convinced on the spot to add him to the band.
This is a FANTASTIC song but you are missing out if you don't listen to the live version. It is one of the great ICONIC LIVE SONGS! it is the last song in his concert and you can tell his voice is tired but he lets it all hang out! It will blow your mind!

There is a story that Paul was playing "Guitar Hero: Beetles Addition" with his grand kids and was losing to the kids. One of the kids teased Paul about it and Paul responded that he may not play the game well, but he wrote all the songs used in the game.
One of the most honest and sincere love songs ever written...absolutely wonderful...actually he's singing to Linda, his wife who died tragically of cancer...
Great reaction! McCartney plays all the instruments on this. Also, if you want to hear Beatles songs with similar McCartney vocals, listen to "I'm Down," "Helter Skelter" or "Oh, Darling!"
Bob Dylan said Paul was a song writing machine and the most incredible ballads just seemed to pour out of him. I'm not big on ballads except for Paul's, they are so good and they really move you.
This was from his 1970 solo album. So glad you love him, too. Keep going because Paul never disappoints. The pics were of his step-daughter, Heather and his little daughter, Mary
The entire end section of Abbey Road is a must listen- little songs all strung together that cover the spectrum of styles. Also be sure to watch James Corden’s magnificent Carpool Karaoke episode where he drives around Paul’s hometown , Liverpool- with the master himself- Paul- going thru his amazing songs and shocking the hell out of the locals!
I love that Carpool Karaoke so much! I was thinking, how many people can just walk into any pub and start singing 50+ year old songs, and almost every person in that pub will sing along and they all will know the lyrics to every song. Remarkable!
The love story of Paul and Linda McCartney is legend. He was very devoted to her, and her death was so sad. I agree with someone else who said to listen to "My Love" the studio version.
I have been following you for a while now. I am a 61 year old Beatles nut. I co-host a podcast about them for over 12 years. I get so emotional every time I see you get so excited over the Beatles, group and solo because that is how I felt as every song and album first came out. Thank you for helping to spread great music. You both rock.
McCartney had the best, most versatile voice in The Beatles, and he definitely left his mark on songs written by the others, as well. His solo, and Wings careers were also amazing.
Listen to him sing Blackbird. Such a deep beautiful song. Written about the Civil Rights movement. Beatles REFUSED to play in any segregated stadiums in the South and had it written in their contract. He can STILL belt it out in his 70's. Man is a world treasure.
I don't know if the area was segregated at the time (I imagine it was, being the South in the '60's) but didn't The Beatles play in Alabama or Mississippi in 1966 under threat from the KKK about John's "Jesus" comment? I remember seeing a clip of McCartney from the era saying something to the effect of that they weren't going to let a bunch of idiots in robes and hoods intimidate them into not playing. And I thought, "God bless him." I agree, he's a world treasure, and he gets unduly shit upon by people who don't know their Beatles history!
@@loosilu Lucie, you are correct!! Kudos to you, fellow Beatles fan. I looked it up after I posted (probably should have done it the other way around) and I saw it was in Memphis. I remember seeing video of McCartney saying they weren't going to let the KKK frighten them into not performing.

Some great songs have been suggested by other commentors and I’d like to add The Beatles’ “Got to Get You Into My Life,” “Eleanor Rigby,” and “Get Back.” Also, Paul’s solo and Wings’ songs “Listen to What the Man Said,” “Coming Up,” and “My Brave Face," "Ever Present Past."
Don’t forget how much he loved Ray Charles or Little Richard - even composed Long Winding Road with RCharles in mind. He plays all instruments here and on whole album.
You didn't think Beatles could get down like that? Lol, you just need to listen to more Beatles, especially their later stuff from the white album, Let It Be, and Abbey Road. They had a wide variety of styles. Enjoy!

Paul wrote this for his lovely Linda while living in a wee old farm in Scotland he was going through a really rough time feeling lost after The Beatles broke up and Linda helped him through it. We all miss lovely Linda. 💔
History will show him to be one of the greatest composers and musicians of the 20th century. This song and "The Long and Winding Road" are true masterpieces.
The Beatles recorded 213 songs, so you’ve barely scratched the surface in terms of style, vocal range, variety, etc. There’s so much yet for you two to enjoy. And then, of course, there’s the deep catalog of their solo careers.
Paul is a freak of nature. He has it all. His voice has a range like no other. Close to a five octave range, and always on pitch. Who else can scream on pitch like this ? AMAZING !
This is a song from McCartney's first solo album. He recorded it largely at his home in a spare room. Not only did he play all the instruments but he also engineered and mixed the album. It's been called the first indie album by many.
Listen to Paul sing Long Tall Sally when he was in the Beatles - both he and John could both rip it up & sing the most beautiful ballads - just genius ❤
Paul's singing about his wife Linda.,he's also playing all the instruments on the song and album. In my opinion I think this song is the best he did in his solo years 👍✌🖖👽
Paul had no question the biggest Carter as a solo artist (including his band “Wings”). Check out “Band On The Run”, “Silly Love Songs”, “With A Little Luck” all massive numbers one hits. There’s sooooo many Paul McCartney hits.
George did not actually take anything from James Taylor. He thought it sounded so good when it was first finished that he said he must have because that was the album he had been listening to!
You definitely have to listen to "Oh, Darling", massive vocal rendition by Paul, still with The Beatles. You won't regret it, in fact, I bet you'll love it.
After the Beatles split up, Paul was scared and depressed, drinking heavily, and barely getting up out of bed. He credits Linda with saving his life, believing in him and seeing him through his depression. This song was about her and his love for his family, and his gratitude to her.
@@SusanJohnston well this song was recorded in abbey road studios and i think the rest of mccartney I was recorded at his home in london pretty sure that record wasn't made in scotland
@@jonasrmb01 saw it on some interview. Paul was saying how he had to go around the house to find the right sound. Maybe he wrote songs there and recorded them elsewhere?
all his money was frozen. He had no funds available for well over a year, and they lived off of Linda's earnings from photography. In Scotland, basically they were living in a building on the lot of a lumber yard. Finally the Beatles as an entity was dissolved, and his funds were available. Hard year, beautiful memories.
Paul had the coolest rock voice ever. He could be the balladeer and the next thing you know he's a rock'n'roll screamer par excellence - sometimes within seconds, in the same song! I wish I could sing like he can. Btw, the song's about his wife Linda.
Probably the best singer ever. Perfect vocal range, perfect variety of vocal registers and perfect intensity. Paul McCartney is a perfect pack of unattainable creativity and musical instinct.
He uses a similar voice in the Beatles song "Oh! Darling" so you might want to check that out. But "Maybe I'm Amazed" is probably his best solo song, at least top 5, so it's tough to compete with. Great video!
No argument here, Paul McCartney has the best voice of all the Beatles. For range for texture it is without question one of the great voices in music of any era.
I think this song was about his beloved wife Linda who sadly died of cancer. He wrote so many live songs for her while they were together. A very settled, loving marriage - unusual for such a major star. They had so many children together and lived in the wilds of Scotland away from everything. To stay together she actually joined his band, Wings learning the keyboards and backing vocals. Their kids even toured with them. They were SO close. It was so sad that she died so early of cancer. He seems really happy with his new wife now but she’ll never be his lovely Linda. (From Sam in Liverpool, England). I love watching you two and you DEFINITELY make me smile every day. Thank you.
I want to thank you guys. I suffer from depression and watching the two of you and your reactions to some of my favorite songs help me out a lot . Thanks again Steve

I agree with this comment 100%.
Those two songs display Paul's true talent best.
Kansas City/Hey Hey, I’m Down, Long Tall Sally
You have to listen to his isolated vocals on oh darling!!! So powerful. Xoxo
That’s amazing!
@@Jackson-jd1um It was amazing. That is one time I wish I had a cell phone or camera. My hubby had the camera at the stage taking pics of Bowie. In my opinion, he missed the best part of the concert. lol
Truly incredible. Im very jealous!
I would have fainted dead away!!! 😆
@@triryche3 it was certainly an other worldly experience. One for the books. 😀
5 octave range voice, multi instrumentalist and top drawer songwriter. It doesn’t get much better.
Paul McCartney did not have anywhere near a five octave uncle range LMFAO. That literally requires being able to sing in the whistle register.
“Oh! Darling” really showcases his vocal range as a Beatle, and solo or with his band ‘Wings’, I recommend “Band On The Run”, “With A Little Luck”, and “Coming Up”, very fun songs.
Agree....
We're so sorry, Uncle Albert....
I second this. With a little luck, probably my favorite PM song.
Love the way Paul sounds on "I'm Down" Early Beatles rocker which is well worth a listen.
and Call Me Back Again
"Maybe I'm Amazed" is a song written by Paul McCartney, that was first released on his 1970 debut solo album. He wrote this beautiful song to his late wife Linda, since he credited her for helping him through those difficult times of his life. Specially, after the break-up of the Beatles. You can hear in this song the passion and the love he felt for his wife, Linda. 👏
I love how Paul sings in the Beatles song Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight. That song is so good.
this x100,000 the whole B side of Abbey Road is just astounding really
Yup. ‘My Love’ is another great one!
Yes she did
I’m just a Mexican stoner tryna make it out the hood by doing storytimes & reaction videos 💀💀
Check out Paul in " why don't we do it in the road" as well
Yes yes yes! "Oh Darling"...gotta listen to it!
You should hear him sing “oh Darling “ he takes his voice to the absolute high level.
Or Monkberry Moon Delight!
❤❤❤ everything about this masterpiece !
He was in his late 20s. His voice was still pristine
Love this one, My Love, and Silly Love Songs but there are so many good ones.
Paul broke the damn band up with his bs. And George was so damn good that he had to break free.
Chills from reading this!
A couple of Paul's voice shredding songs when he was with the Beatles are: Oh! Darling and Helter Skelter. Both are amazing in their own right.
I'm old (46) and this song was old when I was their age. Cut them some slack. We don't come out of the womb knowing every band and song in existence!
@@auckalukaum meh .. you are just a kid. 71 here :)
One would believe all Paul's music after a certain time revolved around his wife Linda.
She did die of breast cancer, and she's the love of his life.
She went on to be a very notable Fashion Designer, I have one of her perfumes, it's just as beautiful as she is. 🥰💖
@@tigger7466 The blonde girl in the video is Linda's daughter Heather, from her first marriage. Paul McCartney adopted her. There are also pictures of McCartney's first daughter, Mary, as a baby. Stella wasn't born yet when this song was recorded.
@@reddoxx4754 Awww man, really?! I've always believed this was Stella hehe Still beautiful like her Mom & Dad...thank u @Reddox X for the correction and background on their daughters. Omgosh, I learn something new every. single. day. God bless u.🥰🙏🏽
He and his late wife Linda were soulmates. He never really got over that loss. This is a love song about her..
THE best tribute to Linda McCartney ever. A beautiful heartfelt treasure. Just amazing
Yes, Paul rocked it with the Beatles! Check out “Back in the USSR,” and especially “Long Tall Sally.” And as a solo act, “1985” is stellar.
He was the only Beatle who could really belt.
OH DARLING by BEATLES is Paul's vocals at its best
Agreed!
That song is a vocal cord destroyer (and a fucking great song).
YES!!! He WAILS on that one!!
DEFINITELY!
Working Class Hero is awesome. His true feelings about the privileged elite.
And Oh Darling
Do the song. "OH DARLING". U will not regret it .
Monkberry moon delight
Please listen to Oh Darling!!!
I'm Down.
What is truly "amaz-ing" is that Paul plays all the instruments on the entire McCartney" (1) album, all of them on every song. He recorded things on separate tracks and then mixed them together, the guy is incredible!
Paul can sing any type of music. He is incredible
Paul, a man of a thousand voices!
Even John Lennon liked it, which says a lot. ;)
I love this song! It is priceless in talent
Love the full orchestra used in "Live and Let die"
Is (Let it be) still strictly The Beatles? Or, did Sir Paul McCartney buy the song.
hands across the water!
@@joshsmith302 I have no idea, but if they loved "Hey Jude" I expect they will also love "Let It Be." Paul on piano!
Paul’s voice has so many tones and styles. Such an incredible talent!
Let it Be is one of Paul’s masterpieces, doesn’t get any better.
John and Paul combine in “A Day in the Life” one of the greatest songs ever composed, with a touch of psychedelics.
If you react to Day in the Life, please please please make sure to let that final note stretch out to eternity lol. So many cut it off early.
"Four thousand holes in Blackburn, Lancashire" Only Lennon and McCartney could get away with singing about holes in a northern town! Along with "I am the walruss" , 2 of my favourite Beatles songs
A Day in the Life is a masterpiece, one of my favourites. Their voices were heaven sent.
as i have gotten oler and continued to listen to Beatles/McCartney, I have really appreciated Pauls vocal ability.
The story is he also pointed out that John's guitar was out of tune.
Paul McCartney has the most amazing voice. His love for Linda is unbelieveable. We all mourned her death.
A day in the life that was about Paul's death , love you two ,ever listen to Lucy in the sky?
Listen to "Oh Darling" by the Beatles. Paul really reaches his peak with his voice on that one. It'll give you goose bumps.
Im so blessed to be born in 55 and got to hear such great rock n roll growing up
This is a FANTASTIC song but you are missing out if you don't listen to the live version. It is one of the great ICONIC LIVE SONGS! it is the last song in his concert and you can tell his voice is tired but he lets it all hang out! It will blow your mind!
Wings over America
Yes Wings over America %100 couldn’t agree more
Yes- the live version might be even better. It’s grittier, too
The entire Wings over America concert was Paul at his peak.

There is a story that Paul was playing "Guitar Hero: Beetles Addition" with his grand kids and was losing to the kids. One of the kids teased Paul about it and Paul responded that he may not play the game well, but he wrote all the songs used in the game.
Excellent! LOL. Hard to get anything up on Paul.
One of the most honest and sincere love songs ever written...absolutely wonderful...actually he's singing to Linda, his wife who died tragically of cancer...
One of my favorite Paul McCartney songs…especially the live version! 🎶 💯
Sir Paul Mcartney is one of the greatest singers, writers ever.
J N A This was 1970 .. The 70s BABY Not to shabby
There is a lot of musical genius in those Liverpool Lads! 😍🤘🏽🤩
Paul and George were the real geniuses, Lennon was overrated and Ringo was just happy to be there.
Great reaction! McCartney plays all the instruments on this. Also, if you want to hear Beatles songs with similar McCartney vocals, listen to "I'm Down," "Helter Skelter" or "Oh, Darling!"
If you want to hear a good rocking Beatles song listen to back in the ussr
Oh, yeah! Second the motion for HELTER SKELTER!!!
They were pictures of Linda and Mary or Heather I’m not sure which one of the kids but those are pictures of Linda
The only version of Abbey Road online is an alternate take and not the album version. Not the same unless they have the CD.
I love that Carpool Karaoke so much! I was thinking, how many people can just walk into any pub and start singing 50+ year old songs, and almost every person in that pub will sing along and they all will know the lyrics to every song. Remarkable!
Loved the way they passed the beers to the back of the pub!
Saw him 3-4 years ago. Such a talent. I bought his Ram album in the early 70's from Columbia House records 12 for a buck. Been a huge fan ever since.
@@johnr.8275 The KKK threat was in Memphis, I think.
@@johnr.8275 That was the concert where someone threw a firecracker on stage, and the lads thought someone had shot a gun. They must have been very much on edge.
Also do “Can’t Buy Me Love”, “Long Tall Sally” and “Golden Slumbers”. Those are a few of many that demonstrates Paul’s range and power!
4 guys from Liverpool that are simply out of this world together, 4 guys from Liverpool who are simply out of this world individually. The world is just so glad they all got together.
I almost forgot The Beatles’ “Lady Madonna.”
You missed at least 150 other Beatles hits - almost all of them different from one another.
Seriously? Do you really expect me to list 150 songs?
Lady Madonna?
Fool on the hill
If you want more of Pauls voice, listen to "Oh Darling!" from the Abbey Road album. Love from Sweden!
And Wings
Don’t forget about Helter Skelter!
Don’t forget how much he loved Ray Charles or Little Richard - even composed Long Winding Road with RCharles in mind. He plays all instruments here and on whole album.
He's definitely channeling Little Richard here.
Tom Jones said the long and winding road was written for him but he rejected the song
Paul all the way !! He is sitting on top of the world !!!!
Imagine being a little kid and Paul McCartney becomes your stepdad… what’s more, he loved and raised her as his own.

And if you think John Lennon is only about imagine listen to whatever gets you through the night! That’s fabulous
Right? It's not the best idea to think you know any artist/band and their entire sound after just hearing 2-3 songs.
He was singing about Linda, his wife. He had a great voice. Try Oh, Darling off the Abbey Road album if you wanna hear some crazy vocals.
Wonderful. Another song that shows Pauls fantastic voice is "The Long and Winding Road", And, "Oh! Darling"
Paul is a freak of nature. He has it all. His voice has a range like no other. Close to a five octave range, and always on pitch. Who else can scream on pitch like this ? AMAZING !
You don't think about Paul's range until you try to sing along note for note , in the same octaves. Then, you give up.
This is a song from McCartney's first solo album. He recorded it largely at his home in a spare room. Not only did he play all the instruments but he also engineered and mixed the album. It's been called the first indie album by many.
Oh Darling is Paul’s best vocal ever.
Revolution from the Beatle’s is an amped up song!! Paul has a huge collection of songs as a solo artist.
True!
John Sang Helter Skelter

One of the best love song ever written and performed..period
To hear a different level of John Lennon’s voice, listen to “Don’t Let Me Down”.
After the Beatles split up, Paul was scared and depressed, drinking heavily, and barely getting up out of bed. He credits Linda with saving his life, believing in him and seeing him through his depression. This song was about her and his love for his family, and his gratitude to her.
That’s when they moved to Scotland and he played all instruments in different rooms for sounds. Innovative musician all the way.

all his money was frozen. He had no funds available for well over a year, and they lived off of Linda's earnings from photography. In Scotland, basically they were living in a building on the lot of a lumber yard. Finally the Beatles as an entity was dissolved, and his funds were available. Hard year, beautiful memories.
Check out the soulful vocals of Lennon in the live version of "Don't Let Me Down" from the Beatles '69 rooftop concert.

Also "Why Don't We Do It In the Road". He belts it out on that one. To get him at his raunchiest, check out "Helter Skelter".
No argument here, Paul McCartney has the best voice of all the Beatles. For range for texture it is without question one of the great voices in music of any era.

Love The Wings years of Paul MCarteny
Absolutely LOVE wings!!!
