73 year old here. It warms my heart when younger generations appreciate songs like this. I feel you really "get it". And with no interruptions! Great job
I'm 23 years old and The Beatles have been my favorite band since ever. One simply needs to listen to their music to realize why they are the best band ever.
I am 45 and they existed before I was born. Throughout my musical career I often thought I’d get over then and move on. The older I get the more the obsession grows. The hare unlike anything ever.
Amen! No one who did not live through that time can know how absolutely amazing and wonderful their work was then and, for folks like us, is today. Peace and love.
I feel so privileged to have been a teen in the 60’s. There hasn’t been any band since that has come anywhere close to the Beatles’ musical and poetic talent
A pre-teen through teen from Beatlemania to the break up no one equaled the excitement, talent as performers, creativity, and the which brought a revolution of talent on the music scene was never the same. Every group, solo act, etc. had put out their Sgt. Pepper album in response to the Beatles release of that LP…The Beatles raised the bar, And Rock songs went from 45 singles to Albums for sales and in doing so Songs went from 2 minutes, to much longer, and LP’s no longer were just collections of popular previously sold songs.
I experienced exactly what you are experiencing 54 years ago. When the record was brand new, our friends sat around almost in shock at what beauty we were listening to.
The genius of John Lennon and producer George Martin. John was inspired to write this when he heard his wife Yoko playing Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata. He asked her to play the chords backwards and wrote the lyrics. "The lyrics speak for themselves.... no imagery, no obscure meanings," Lennon said about the song. As for the sound, Lennon, McCartney and Harrison recorded their three vocals three times, creating a nine-voice recording, with Harrison adding a Moog Synthesizer, Martin playing the intro on electronic harpsichord and Lennon mimicking the same part on guitar. It took five hours to record, and when it was done it ended up being the members favorite song on the Abbey Road album.
I've called attention to this song several times; but because most "reactors" are looking for "bangers" they flit from one thing to another without making any effort to actually LISTEN. This song is astonishingly beautiful. And the lyric is John's achieved minimalism. Another instance is his "I Want You (She's So Heavy)"; and that is majestic.
Because é linda mas Minha música favorita do Abbey road na verdade é o Medley Golden slumbers carry that weight The end uma obra prima do Paul McCartney.
When i heard it on the radio in the period 69-71 ( i was 8 to 10) I dropped everyting and my ears were glued to the radio and the song still has that effect on me ( i’m 63now) Last week my nephew asked which song of the Beatles I liked most…..this is the one….
Oh, my God. It is very difficult to select ONE Beatles fevourite song, but this one for sure would be among the finals. By the way, I'm 58 and have loved the Beatles ever since I have a memory to recall. Great answer.
The Beatles are the greatest and most influential band that ever existed. I saw them the first time when I was 8 on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1964 and they changed my life forever. I subscribed to your channel. Many of their songs will give you goosebumps. I’m looking forward to more Beatles reactions.
I’m a 1955 product too, from Canada, so we had She Loves You in 1963 and then a few months later, Ed Sullivan . The changed my life too. Beatles are 4Ever.
@@MrTommytuna But John was also never satisfied with the arrangement. And I can understand why. The song was too delicate to give it a traditional guitar-bass-drums-keyboard arrangement (which you can hear in the Let It Be movie). But the boys didn't take the time to give it the "Because" treatment. Pity. Still a nice song, tho'.
This song is being rediscovered by choral groups, who recognize the beauty of the harmonies. We all did when it was released. A brief piece of spectacular brilliance.
There are so many layers and facets of the Beatles - it's a deep, deep dive. There music encompasses so many levels and genres it's amazing. I love this song so much.
@@sabina1118 Hello. Lovley reaction as always 🥰 I got an idea of what you should do if you feel like it! And that is to react to all Sabaton's songs in all the albums they have! @@sabina1118....thank you for sharing....as fellow Irish scouser, Ringo Starr would say...peace love and understanding....❤❤😊😊...E...love is all you need....
The whole Abbey road album is a work of art. Leave it to the Beatles to insert the most beautiful yet underrated quote to show ones love for another " Love is old love is new. Love is all love is you" ❤️
I got the album, Meet the Beatles, for Christmas in 1963. I was thirteen. The iconic Robert Freeman photograph of the group in half-shadow was very mysterious to me. Who are these guys? They became the most influential quartet in the history of music. The blend of their voices in harmony was unparalleled. Here in 2024, they continue to gain new fans with their eclectic songs. Harrison once said, " The Beatles will exist without us. " Truer words were never spoken.
"Makes me feel like breathing deep." yes... it puts you into a meditative mood. This song is simple and uncluttered, but there is a lot going on in my head when I hear it. *Because the sky is blue it makes me cry* wow just amazing. Thanks Sabina ❤☮
Wow, great reaction Ms.Sabina!! I've heard this song dozens of times before and it feels even better when you see someone getting all the way into it as you did here...... you added to the beauty. Not what you expected?? If you continue through the entire Beatles catalog, which is a pretty long but rewarding journey, you will find that so many of their songs were unique unto themselves, especially in their later material. One of the reasons they stopped touring(imo) is that they and producer George Martin felt that they could create something extraordinary if they spent more time in the studio and George Martin was a huge part of their creative process. I really enjoyed this reaction.
"Unlike anything I've heard before," you said. THAT is the essence of The Beatles. I really enjoy your reactions and will look fo reward to more discussions about The Beatles (or music in general.) I appreciate your response.
Time for you to hear much more of the greatest band of all time. So many songs like this and not like this but all great. All their songs put you in a mood
You should listen to the “Abbey Road Medley” that starts on the next song after Because! It’s an amazing group of songs, “mashed” together, in a way, that leads to the last song of the medley, called “The End”. Keep going with your Beatles Rabbit Hole!
Yes. The medley is a must listen and another astounding work of popular music. I have listened to several current cover bands performing the Abbey Road medley exactly as recorded. All of the groups have had extremely accomplished musicians and singers doing the work. As a result of listening to these great players and singers performing the medley, I gained a greater level of respect for the musicianship of each of the four Beatles. Each of them really were awfully good at what they did.
As a group the Beatles released something like 236 original songs. Given that there's certainly plenty of room for variety. An amazing body of work created within a virtual handful of years.
I was born in 1965, my older brothers were 13 years and eight years older than me. Some of my earliest memories are attached to Beatles music and no matter how many times in my life I hear the songs, Penny Lane and hello, goodbye especially, something in my brain spirals back in time and for a moment I know what it feels like to be 4 years old. Now that is a trip. So inevitably whenever I hear the Beatles, mostly what I get from it is comfort, safety and innocence and all is right with my world.
Yup, I remember getting ready to take a shower when Strawberry Fields came on my transiter radio. It was raining. I stuck my face up against the window screen, letting the rain fall on my face. Felt very secure. ❤😊
Also born in 1965. What the Beatles did was unrepeatable. Greatest band there ever has been, or ever will be. When I see one of these reactions videos, I’m always like “It’s a Beatles song, how can you not have heard it ?”
I have loved this song since it was new. I'm very glad that you are discovering these heroes of my youth. Keep investigating their work; you won't be sorry.
George talked about how difficult it was to get those harmonies down, even after all those years of playing and harmonizing together. If you try singing each part, it's REALLY tricky. And a very cool chord progression that John came up with after listening to something by Beethoven. He tried to play what he'd heard 'backwards' and came up with those chords. One of their best, but they had a lot of 'bests'! One of my favorites by them with three part harmony is 'This Boy', and there's a really great middle section where John just belts it out. Another of my favorites by them that most people don't know is 'I Don't Want To Spoil The Party'. It has a really cool intro/outro riff and the vocals are just so good (like most of their songs). I like recommending songs that aren't your typical ones, that people might not be familiar with. 'Dear Prudence' is fantastic, but a bit more 'known'.
What else can I add to the comments except, that too was around when The Beatles first came to the U.S. in 1964. I was a bit young, at 7 years old, but even at that young age, I and my siblings knew from their first song, that they were something special. And here I am in 2024, at 68 years old and still in love with The Beatles and their beautiful music. So thankful for UA-cam for allowing these reaction channels so that young people of today can listen to what I, and millions of us older folks got to enjoy growing up. Thank you.
This was from 1969. Going for live performances wouldn't be a good tactic with the Beatles because they quit touring in 1966, half way through their recording career. One reason for this was the "Beatlemania" phenomenon of audiences packed with girls screaming so loud they drowned out the sound of the band which would ruin the recording, and make it impossible for the band members to hear each other. The 1966 amplification systems in stadiums couldn't compete with the noise. After they quit touring they could use the studio to create music they couldn't reproduce live anyway, and they were groundbreaking in their use of studio techniques.
The best quality live performances would be from early 1969 on the rooftop of the Abbey Road Stufios. This is used in the Let it Be documentary and Peter Jackson’s more recent Beatles documentary.
Although I will say that if you watch and listen to some of their live performances where the screaming is deafening, (if you were there), they are noticeably on beat and in tune. Probably from all that time playing in Hamburg.
@@TheMerryPupI read an article where Ringo said he had to watch John and Paul's asses moving, their feet tapping and their heads nodding at places like Shea Stadium to know where he was in the song.
There are several LIVE concert performances where the audio is good despite the screaming that she NEEDS to watch to get an idea of WHAT transpired at their concerts. I saw them Live in concert TWICE in 1964 and 1966 when I was 17 and 19 years old.
@@patticrichton1135 I still think that since she isn't familiar with their music at all, she would get the best first impression of what they had to offer by checking out the music on their albums first. This would include the music they made in the studio during the second half of their history, and maybe some live performances of their earlier stuff after. I think they progressed as musicians and songwriters after 1966 (I was 17), and I wouldn't want her to base her main impression of the group's output on the early years. That's why I like to follow people online who discover them by seeing their progression as they listen chronologically. Maybe when you hear the live recordings you can almost relive your teenage experiences and all of the excitement of the situation - but they wouldn't have the same effect on her, because she wasn't there.
I watched a video of a classical composer who is an avid fan of the Beatles music. He commented "The Beatles never strayed very far from the ordinary in music. But they always made it magic." Well put.
I have been a Beatles fan since they came on the scene in 1964 and blew me away! This song as is many others, shows their versatility as artists! Thank you
The Beatles are so long ago that the only time they used a Moog synthisizer was on this, their final album. Just 4 guys who actually played their instruments & sang.
For us who were young at the time the Beatles were releasing their music, they were amazing. Every album was different. Very different. They changed styles and moods each time. You had to listen to them over and over and over again. Sometimes, certain tracks took a while to get used to. They could be shocking. For instance, I never heard anything like Daytripper and the first sound was not pleasant to me. However, I got used to it and now I love it, like everything they did.
There are two versions of Across the Universe. One that was reaeased on a World Wildlife Fund album and one on their Let It Br album. The WWF version is available on the Beatles Past Masters Vol 2. and was originally recorded during the Sgt. Pepper era. The Let it Be version contains choir and strings added by Phil Spector
New to your channel and I just subscribed after watching your reaction to this. I was a kid when the Beatles grew up and I'm a musician of many decades, and it's just fascinating to watch people discover them. I mean really discover them. I don't know how many times I've heard this Beatles song Because throughout my lifetime, but every single time I listen to it, I'm just blown away by the haunting beauty of it, and it's so lush, and yet there's so much anguish in it as well. It's just absolutely poignant. They had a huge catalog for only being around for a decade, and they evolved so much but they were always fascinating for the time that they were in. I've heard everything in their catalog multiple times, and the vast majority of them, including some of their really early stuff many many times. Something I thought of while watching your reaction was from a few years earlier, and it was definitely a hit but I'm not sure most people think of it right off the bat, and it is called Rain. Even though it was slightly earlier, you can see this tendency to include all these vocal intervals and arrangements and textures and feeling and playing with the perceived tempo of it, and it's really fascinating. For some reason, I always think of Paperback Writer when I think of Rain. And I've played them back-to-back so many times and I've heard them back-to-back on the radio before.
Loved your reaction, young lady. It's great to see a new generation discovering the music I grew up with, and the Beatles is definitely a rabbit hole worth exploring. I hope to see more in the future. Love, peace, and hair grease. ✌️
57 years old guy. I love to see the younger generations sharing the same feelings we had before in our youth. The Beatles are always different and there is so much to explore.
I have NEVER seen anyone react to this beautiful song that is in my top 5 Beatles tracks. I play it often and don’t know why it’s not heard on here! Loved the reaction!
As born in early 1948 I had the extreme luck to grow up with the Beatles. No one has done it better since then. And only during a few productive years!
I just turned 70. The Beatles were the soundtrack of my teenage years and beyond. Still as Incredible as when I first heard it….to me the best ever👍🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
The greatest band of all time! Just to start,i recommend you listen:Across The Universe,While My Guitar Gently Weeps,In My Life,Nowhere Man,Sexy Sadie,Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End,Something,I Should Have Known Better,And I Love Her,Ticket To Ride,Penny Lane,Let It Be,Here Comes The Sun,Got To Get You Into My Life,And Your Bird Can Sing,Strawberry Fields Forever. Greetings from Argentina.🖐
I think you said everything I felt when I first heard it. You really nailed it in my opinion! My older sisters were buying Beatles albums as they came out. I was around 12 and just starting to learn guitar. "Because" has always been in my top 10 of theirs.
I was lucky to be in the 60's, 'Jimmy Powell Blues Band' ; we arrived on the Monday May 9th-lunchtime, just as the Beatles left, ( All bands played one hour on stage, one hour off, then another hour on stage, and so on, alternating with another band, from 6:0 pm at night thro' till 6:0 pm in the morning _ 6 hours ). That was the' Top Ten Night Club', Hamburg in the 60's...no excuses, just absolutely gruelling- & unremitting , quite insane really but we did it, yet it honed & crafted everyone who played there. This Beatles Classic came out 5 years later 1969 ,on the Abbey Road LP...I have heard many versions, for all kinds of Combo's, & yet for me the Original Beatles vocal version is still the best..so ethereal, & 'exactly' how John & Paul wanted ; what incredibly talented musicians they were, but ;- The long hours all thro' the night, every night, week after week, after week, far from home, with no-one but your close pals- this is what made the Beatles, sheer good hard working habits...and I know this for real, and absolutely and for sure. I was there !!
I was on leave from Vietnam in late November 1969 in Sydney, Australia, when Abby Road came out. I went with a beautiful young woman to her room and listened to it at night. "Because" took me away from the world for a while... and that was enough. It reminded me that beauty STILL existed in the world, if only for one night in Australia. 54 years later, it still takes me to that place of beauty. Thank you....
Their catalogue of songs, musical variety, and inventiveness is unmatched, and with the popular noise we have to listen to on the radio today, Beatles music will always shine above the rest. I believe they were born to rock the world. The first time I heard Beatles (From me to you) at 13, in1963, I became a Beatlemaniac. I liked songs by George, Paul, and John, but, John was my favorite because his songs were from the heart and had a distinct edge to them. Mind expanding lyrics and haunting melodies. I am a Beatles fan forever. As far as I can tell, the 60's was the best decade to grow up in. The cultural changes and excitement were unsurpassed. When we are all gone, I will listen to the Fab Four in Heaven!
I grew up with the Beatles and turned 10 in 1964 when they "invaded" America. I agree with you, the 60s was the best as we transformed the world with our music. I just turned 70. I have an older brother and sister, so I was in the loop, much younger than I may have otherwise been if I had been an only child. I feel blessed to be a Boomer. My husband is a War Baby, and together, we took the planet from the most devastating war we had ever seen to this miraculous vision of PEACE. It took all of us to support and propel the energy of our visionaries and artists to plant a seed and make it grow and spread across the planet. IMHO, we people of this Earth need to start channeling that energy again or perish. Thanks, younger generations, for listening to our legacy, reviving it, and giving it the level of appreciation it deserves.
I love. LOVE! That she listened all the way through! So many reaction vids the listener turns off after ten seconds. She just loves and fully experiences it. Then tells us. Thank you. One of the best reactions I've seen;; and I love reactions. "Straight into my soul"; like so many Beatle songs.
Using text to comment rather than interrupting the music - brilliant! Why don't more reactors do this? I'm impressed. A tip for exploring the magic of the Beatles: go to the original albums, not the greatest hits rehashes and compilations. They were incredibly inventive in the studio, with their secret weapon George Martin, and set the bar high through the mid to late 60s. They experimented a lot so chances are for every song you think 'meh', the next one will send you to musical heaven. Bon voyage, ma'am.
Love your thoughts running across the screen while the song is playing. Doesn't disturb the song so we hear it uninterrupted. Nice touch. I haven't seen anyone else do this. Well done. Subscribed.
Think the word your looking for earlier was Ethereal...... maybe haunting. I love it when John writes these incredibly complex chord progressions.....not to mention just how Tight the Beatles vocal harmonies were. Just like Classical music from hundreds of years ago, hundreds of years into the future Elite Music Schools and Colleges will be studying The Beatles Music and Compositions, just like there doing Now. These four lads from Liverpool are in the History Books for All Time! 🎸♥️
That’s a true road to classics 😊 that’s a long time ago that I heard that one, and this is (luckily) not one of the usual suspects. You bring back memories.
From the album Abbey Road. It’s listening to these lesser known tracks, that you realise the true depth of the Beatles music and its high levels of quality. Sgt Pepper for me is their finest album…very different to their earlier work around the mid 60’s. Some say that The Beatles were the template for the future of music. Sabina..glad you liked this, a lesser known track that is well worth highlighting.
Intense, overwhelming and the movement of harmonies and play on words blend to a sublime symphony, this is why the Beatles are considered one of the greatest composers of all time...
Your Reactions make 100% Sense. I'm a 74 year old Swedish man and The Beatles were my "Guitar Teachers" from October 1963, (and forever onwards ...), when they played Live in Swedish TV. What a Music Bomb of Exitement, Joy, Love and Humour that show was. The Beatles still to this day are the main inspiration for my Guitar Playing and some of their songs still hold their Musical secrets no matter how concentrated I listen through my Headphones with my Gibson J45 in my hands. Enough of Me now ... Your reactions Sabina send shivers through me also, a double Joy of seeing that The Genius of Beatle's Music was Not an illusion among us 60:s Youngsters but a True Force of Love and Joy given to anyone who listens for real. And Thank You for texting on the Screen Your inner feelings and Thoughts, letting us enjoy "Because" uninterupted. Your video as a Whole is in some kind of Master Class, Honestly. I don't know if You already also have reacted to "The Sun King", another Masterpiece in kind of the same Emotional Realm as "Because". If Not - please react to that too. Thanks from Stockholm, Sweden ... And, By the Way: That October 1963 TV-Show was the first Beatles Tv-Show recorded Outside of Great Britain, much because of two Young Swedish TV-journalists Claes Burling and Kersti Adams Ray. They had met The Beatles half a Year earlier in England and gave them a hopeful invitation to Sweden, which became a Reality 30 October 1963 in the pop show "Drop In".
That was beautiful, I'm totally subscribing. The Beatles have so many types of songs, entire genres can be traced back to single Beatle songs. The very next song on this album is fantastic, "You Never Give Me Your Money". Every song flows so great into the next one that as soon as I hear one song, I just automatically want to hear the next one! This was at the very end of the career, their last album. John Lennon wrote this song. He sang it with Paul McCartney and George Harrison. Reportedly, Ringo Starr (the 4th Beatle) was standing right next to them, even though he wasn't singing.
Watching this almost brought tears to my eyes. I remember waiting for this album to be available and our hearing it for the first time. Watching you feel the music was so intense and remindful of my youthful growth in appreciation of music. They had the courage to make music like no one else. They were the musical leaders that no one could really copy.
I'm in my 70's and my kids know The Beatles and their kids too. It's the in car singalong music. Recently here in Wales My 6 year old granddaughter was star of the show because of the Beatles! Without previous warning the class got an ongoing Beatles awareness course! They were going to learn Beatles songs. First song was Blackbird and my granddaughter said I know that song. So teacher said if I put the song on can you sing along to it for the class? She was eager and pulled it off to her own delight and the amazement of the teacher... and next was Hello Goodbye and on it went. Looks like it is never going to die.
Nobody can harmonise like John, George and Paul can, their voices are sublime. John used "a Moonlight Sonata" and moved the chords around/backwards, utter genius!.
When I was in college, in my first year, I listened to this song straight for 6 months. You will not believe me. I am telling you the truth. This was the most beautiful song I have ever heard then.
Lovely. I play "Because" to people who underestimate the Beatles followed by "A Day in the Life", "Tomorrow Never Knows" and "Dear Prudence" to illustrate how they changed the face of pop music forever!
I Was 6 Years Old When Abbey Road Came Out, Wherein My Older Brother William Played It All The Time, And As Much As I Really Love Something, And Here Comes The Sun, And Every Other Amazing Song On That Incredible Beatles Album, Because, . . . Was Then, And Still Is Now, My Absolute Favorite Positive Mood Changing Song On Abbey Road . . . :-)
I was around when all of this stuff was first released. The music industry was more diversified than ever, and classical themes were being blended into rock and roll venues. It was a very unique time to be around!
"trippy" is the perfect word to describe this beautiful song. as is "hypnotic" and "mystical." this is the 2nd song of side 2 of abbey road that follows "here comes the sun" and is followed by the mini-opera that closes the rest of the album. the beatles were just at the top of the game. they kept their music fresh, fun and interesting. one way they did this is by providing surprise or false endings to some of the songs. "rain," "strawberry fields forever" and "helter skelter" are examples of this unique feature of theirs. on the "abbey road" album they added a strange and false ending to each album side. the beatles were full of surprises and they had the talent to make those surprises work so effectively. its just shocking how really, really consistently good they were. thanks for the video.
Although I didn't live through the Beatles era, it's my favorite band, it was love at first sight one day when one of my mother's brothers came home with a boombox and played "Yesterday" on a cassette. I know it sounds worn out to say it, but Abbey Road is timeless. 💯❤🎸
As a music lover, you must become aquainted with this entire album. You could go song by song on it, except of course for the Side 2 Medley, where short pieces are woven all together. Lovely reaction to this beautiful song - which you can play again soon.
Big Beatle fan here . I’ve been listening to the Fab4 since I was 11 yrs old. I am now 69. The album cover is called Abbey Road where I was so lucky enough to cross in 2019.
@Sabina thank you for choosing a song that's off the beaten path. There's a lot of us more "seasoned" listeners that enjoy seeing younger people reacting to songs of our time. I find it refreshing when a song comes up that wasn't a top 40 standard or radio banger. Keep digging...
The Beatles' most gorgeous song in my opinion - and one of their most overlooked. Really glad you liked it so much. Your reaction was spot on. To give you a good taste of the Beatles from different periods, I recommend the albums A Hard Day's Night and Sgt Pepper. Also outstanding: Rubber Soul, Revolver and Abbey Road (where Because is from).
73 year old here. It warms my heart when younger generations appreciate songs like this. I feel you really "get it". And with no interruptions! Great job
Thanks a lot ❤️
I too appreciate that there were no interruptions. 👏🏻😊.
As did I (maybe WE) when we heard good stuff from the 30s thru 50s. Wow! Swing!! Yeah, baby !
This man of 60 years of age feels exactly the same as you do good sir.😊
Same age and appreciation.
I'm 23 years old and The Beatles have been my favorite band since ever. One simply needs to listen to their music to realize why they are the best band ever.
The Alpha and the Omega.
You have both a good ear for music and good taste. You are exactly correct.
I am 45 and they existed before I was born. Throughout my musical career I often thought I’d get over then and move on.
The older I get the more the obsession grows.
The hare unlike anything ever.
On my deathbed... I can truly say... I was a teen when the Beatles made records. And, it was glorious!! And it IS Timeless.
ME TOO @scottski51!!
Amen! No one who did not live through that time can know how absolutely amazing and wonderful their work was then and, for folks like us, is today. Peace and love.
May peace be with you!!!
I'm with you Mate
God bless you dear one…Say hi to John, George, Jim, Janis, Eva, Jimi, David….and all the musicians who have touched our hearts…
❤
I experienced exactly what you are experiencing 54 years ago. When the record was brand new, our friends sat around almost in shock at what beauty we were listening to.
I bought that when new too. I’ve heard that song hundreds of times. And yet, I just got chills from it. They never disappoint.
Trouble is I’ve been waiting since 1969 for something that beats or even matches it!
@johnlindsay3820 love the acappela version on 'Love' ❤
Who played the tuba solo ?
@@simchabaruch7023it's George's Moog synth played by Paul

And to think of the primitive technology they had in 1969. The word "digital" had not been invented yet
The Beatles are the Voice of The Gods.
Well put!!!
Not enough reactors react to this song. The wordplay is brilliant, yet simple, and the harmonies, etc.
Agreed!
Amen!! there should be over 1000 reactions to this song...
When I bought that album in 1969 I locked myself in my room for two weeks just listening to it. I just finished recording it on my acoustic guitar.
I just love the diversity of the Beatles, I'm happy to follow wherever they take me and I've never been disappointed!
Every Beatles song is different, but one that provokes a similar response is “Across the Universe”
I was just thinking that. Another poetic, haunting experience.
i believe Lennon said something to the effect that it was the only song he ever wrote that he considered to be poetry.
Amen!
Pity.
Still a nice song, tho'.
i think sun king is more similar, I'm a sun king fan, even think it better than those 2..
This song is being rediscovered by choral groups, who recognize the beauty of the harmonies. We all did when it was released. A brief piece of spectacular brilliance.
And a piece of a brilliant album.
I've just come from listening to If I Needed Someone - these guys could REALLY bust out the harmonies. Sun King also!

The Beatles were so unique in their different sounds
I'd recommend just listening to the rest of the songs after Because, all in a row, at the same time. A beautiful medley of songs.
I envy you being able to experience The Beatles for the 1st time. I am 75 and I feel so fortunate to have been born when was.

Our generation had great bands and wonderful music that covered every genre.

The whole Abbey road album is a work of art. Leave it to the Beatles to insert the most beautiful yet underrated quote to show ones love for another " Love is old love is new. Love is all love is you" ❤️
And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make.
@@jbqu3142 hey I was gonna reply to this comment with that quote.....you beat me to it !
Great minds
I got the album, Meet the Beatles, for Christmas in 1963. I was thirteen. The iconic Robert Freeman photograph of the group in half-shadow was very mysterious to me. Who are these guys? They became the most influential quartet in the history of music. The blend of their voices in harmony was unparalleled. Here in 2024, they continue to gain new fans with their eclectic songs. Harrison once said, " The Beatles will exist without us. " Truer words were never spoken.
The entire lp deserves a serious listening.
I agree, the lyrics and harmonies are excellent. So many great Beatles tunes... there is not a deeper rabbit hole.
Excited!
"Makes me feel like breathing deep." yes... it puts you into a meditative mood. This song is simple and uncluttered, but there is a lot going on in my head when I hear it. *Because the sky is blue it makes me cry* wow just amazing. Thanks Sabina ❤☮
It is amazing indeed! ❤️
Though it is impossible to pick a favorite Beatles song, when people insist, this is generally the one I choose.
"Unlike anything I've heard before," you said. THAT is the essence of The Beatles. I really enjoy your reactions and will look fo reward to more discussions about The Beatles (or music in general.)
I appreciate your response.

It's an amazing idea
Tienes razón, hay que escucharlo una tras otra para descubrir este, para mi el álbum más completo de los Beatles y el mejor, creo.
The Beatles were artists. They were driven to create art, which is why their music kept evolving and growing.
One of my all time favourite Beatles songs is Elenor Rigby
It is a fantastic song. The lyrics are brilliant and clever, but they are very dark. Would keep it well away from anyone suffering from depression.
As a group the Beatles released something like 236 original songs. Given that there's certainly plenty of room for variety. An amazing body of work created within a virtual handful of years.
Don't forget the twenty something songs they gave to others as well.
It really is unbelievable.
Beautiful song from my second favorite Beatles album, my favorite being Revolver
Correct!
So is mine
This makes me cry, its so beautiful. You should have kept going and played the medly that followed. Thanks for this.
Surely, it's amazing!
Thank you for not interrupting I love your comments in the subtitles others ruin the musical experience I am subscribing
Pick any Beatles song at random, and you hear something very different, but always something perfectly performed and recorded. That was their magic.
I watched a video of a classical composer who is an avid fan of the Beatles music. He commented "The Beatles never strayed very far from the ordinary in music. But they always made it magic." Well put.
Especially when you add the genius of Sir George Martin!
One of the first to use it too.
I think you'll find that 'Let It Be' was their final album, released in 1970.
@@-GrumpyOldMan Let It Be was their last released (recorded in January '69), but Abbey Road was their last recorded (June '69)
The three layers of three part harmonies is just exquisite.
The story is that this song was inspired by John hearing Yoko playing Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata and asking her to play the chords backwards.
If you want to hear the opposite side of The Beatles, try I Want You (She's So Heavy) from the same album👍
AND "OH DARLING" and "HERE COMES THE SUN."
I think you would really enjoy their song Across the Universe
There are two versions of Across the Universe. One that was reaeased on a World Wildlife Fund album and one on their Let It Br album. The WWF version is available on the Beatles Past Masters Vol 2. and was originally recorded during the Sgt. Pepper era. The Let it Be version contains choir and strings added by Phil Spector
isn't there a stripped down version on Let It Be Naked?
4 versions are available @@pjg58x
For most other bands, Rain would have been their greatest hit, for The Beatles, it was a 'B' side to Paperback Writer.
Thanks and welcome!
57...your still a kid! you didn't growup with the Beatles in the 60's.did you, but their music is timeless I guess...for all generations to enjoy

Man, John was such a versatile song writer. An absolutely stunning piece of work from all parties involved.
George said this song "Because" was his favorite on Abby Road because they sang it in 7 part harmony...truly amazing
I just turned 70. The Beatles were the soundtrack of my teenage years and beyond. Still as Incredible as when I first heard it….to me the best ever👍🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Thanks a lot! ❤️
John, Paul and George sang this 3 times. So there's nine vocal harmonies.
One of my favourite Beatle songs along with 'Fool on the hill'. An incredible band
The genius of the Beatles and george martin❤️🤘i do believe mozart, bach and other ancient composers would be in awe of many of the arrangements🤘❤️
Thank you! ☺️

On Anthology 3 there is version of Because with just isolated vocals.... Worth a listen :)
That’s a true road to classics 😊 that’s a long time ago that I heard that one, and this is (luckily) not one of the usual suspects. You bring back memories.
You're right about the wordplay. The world turns. The wind blows. You cry because you're blue. And some of the best harmonies.
Yes. Incredible lyrics AND harmonies!
Dear Prudence (White album)
Prudence Farrow was Frank Sinatra's sister in law.
A great story behind Dear Prudence.. As with many Beatles songs.
Yeah she would really like Dear Prudence

Thank you and welcome! ❤️
Watching this almost brought tears to my eyes. I remember waiting for this album to be available and our hearing it for the first time. Watching you feel the music was so intense and remindful of my youthful growth in appreciation of music. They had the courage to make music like no one else. They were the musical leaders that no one could really copy.
I’ve been a fan since 1964 when I was 10 , listening to “ I Want to hold your hand “
💛💯
Nobody can harmonise like John, George and Paul can, their voices are sublime. John used "a Moonlight Sonata" and moved the chords around/backwards, utter genius!.
When I was in college, in my first year, I listened to this song straight for 6 months. You will not believe me.
I am telling you the truth. This was the most beautiful song I have ever heard then.
wonderful reaction girl! The Beatles is an almost endless treasure chest full of gems. Timeless music.
a master piece. A work of art. Truly
Lovely. I play "Because" to people who underestimate the Beatles followed by "A Day in the Life", "Tomorrow Never Knows" and "Dear Prudence" to illustrate how they changed the face of pop music forever!
Yes, trippy, and that's how it was described when it first came out.
I think I'll just go by what I experienced. I was a professional musician for 15 years, and saw it all! Thanks anyway!
And history will always salute Bach, Bethoven, Beatles
And Brahms, The Four Bs.
John was the creater , George was the Genius , Ringo was Ringo but Paul was the magic voice what The Beatles been all about ... for me
As a music lover, you must become aquainted with this entire album.
There are so many songs to listen too. over 200 at least. All Beatles songs are great. What harmony they had.
Al fin una reacciòn a esta gema musical!. Gracias Sabina por hacerla realidad.
@Sabina thank you for choosing a song that's off the beaten path. There's a lot of us more "seasoned" listeners that enjoy seeing younger people reacting to songs of our time. I find it refreshing when a song comes up that wasn't a top 40 standard or radio banger. Keep digging...
87 years old woman (me) and still fascinated with Because.❤️🎶❤️
The Beatles' most gorgeous song in my opinion - and one of their most overlooked. Really glad you liked it so much. Your reaction was spot on. To give you a good taste of the Beatles from different periods, I recommend the albums A Hard Day's Night and Sgt Pepper. Also outstanding: Rubber Soul, Revolver and Abbey Road (where Because is from).
one of the most underrated Songs. A Masterpiece, and which other band of the 60s can do it like this?
