  • Antique drill press restoration. Continuation of the 103. Drill press. Getting down to some clean up and repairs. I think this drill press is going to be a winner. These old American classic drill presses really clean up well. Tolerances are spot on.

That not a speed limiting switch, its the centrifugal switch that changes between the Start and run windings

Yes, I know. I self corrected that error later on... Sometime when you're first getting into something or are talking to yourself, it comes out kind of generic - non specific. - that video still hasn't been downloaded. I've been waiting on a part to finish out Pt.3 where you should be able to catch that correction. Don...and thanks for watching.

Hi Don, it's funny that I listened how you spoke and interpreted your generic speak to mean what you meant to say and I did not notice whatyousaid. I have just started watching your channel and going through some of your videos and really enjoying them so subscribed a few days ago. I have an atlas 12 x 36. It is the newer model they made the last few years so have sure enjoyed some of those videos as well. I'll be trying to catch up on seeing them all. By the way I have an old drill press that was made in Ontario that is older and has the same design and parts. I can see where they got there design from as it is almost an exact copy of mine. It had the quill bent when I first got it but I managed to straighten it and now I really like the drill press. Thanks for the great videos.

I really like the cast iron end bell type motors on these vintage drill presses. Cudos for keeping it in service.

Ya, me too. I hate to scrap old stuff.. it just has a nice more authentic look to it. These old motors also really have a lot of oomph to em that i just don't feel with newer motors. Thanks for watching. Don
