You're a bloody legend mate! Both of your vids helped me solve the problem, with ZERO plumbing experience! Thanks for your informative tech help!

Thanks, this helps enormously. Couldn't find this style of flushing system anywhere else, so didn't know how to get to the valves. Very frustrated!

Great Video, for me it was the washer in the TAP that disintegrated and got stuck in the valve /diaphragm

My issue was not over flow but a slow filling cistern. It would hiss for hours as it gradually filled up.
I thought I was going to break the attachment arm until I stumbled upon this video, as I was not 100% sure it would rotate off because it resisted my efforts. But renewed with confidence I twisted it off as shown, bought another diaphragm from the hardware store for $3.95 and put it back in the same attachment arm and re-engaged it as shown here and the cistern filled up in seconds.
    Job done. Thanks.

KayAteChef same problem here, very slow filling and finally the toilet tank wouldn't fill at all. I took the assembly apart as per the video and found no tears, I cleaned everything with vinegar and put it back together and the toilet works perfectly again.

I find it amusing that when I scroll down 3 years ago I was looking to solve this Exact problem.
On the bright side, we have had 3 years and no problems from a bunnings seal :D

This also fixes hissing issues. For me, it was a matter of reseating the diaphragm
