I've been using the Quadlock Mag car screen mount for the last 6 months to do multi drop deliveries (for a company who shall remain nameless here. Trust me they won't miss the plug) It's been absolutely faultless! (It actually saves me about an hour a day faffing with my previous screen mounted phone holder.) Which considering I put my phone on and off the mount up to 250 times a day is bleddy awesome. I got the motorcycle mount in January as I was so happy with the car mount. Now just ordered the mag case and wireless charging head for my new phone too. Brilliant kit, worth every penny.
Edit to that comment: actually the Quadlock Mag saves me around 20 mins per day. When combined with the new phone with faster operating system it saves me up to an hour.
The wee swall black bit in the handle bar mount is not for extra grip , it can be kept in but taken out for the cable to go through if need be. Great stuff bought the same in Novembers Black Friday sale.
wait, what? did you say phones might overheat if it's used for map while riding? what kind of phone does that? iPhones? my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra does not, and I've tried within my car for up to ~8 hours non-stop, while also streaming music on Spotify during the hole roadtrip. recent Samsung phones doesn't overheat, at all, that's for sure. after the Galaxy Note 7, they really focused a lot on temps, to make sure their phones was safe, which over time resulted in phones that simply can't overheat without a really good reason
I wish the quad lock phone case was better in the wet weather. The poncho isn't designed to be in an all day rain ride. I rode in the rain this past week for 8 hr day ride and needed to stop several times to dry out case from water that found its way inside. I wish the case was sealed like a "PUNKCASE" With the mag mount charger lock functions. Cheers, Eric F
Hi Toby, as you run an XT with the iPhone and headset, have you found a way to get them all to connect without glitches and be able to hear directions from the sat nav. At the minute I’ve the phone connected to the bike along with the headset but not the sat nav as it seams to go awry🤔 regards Jay
Yep, the best way I find is that I don’t want turn by turn spoken instructions but had the helmet connected to the sat nav and then the phone connected to the sat nav. Ditched that idea as I wanted to use the whiz wheel to answer calls and control music so i now have the helmet connected to the Bmw tft and also the phone connected to the Bmw tft. Works a treat, leaving the sat nav to just navigate. Works for me :)
It's a great product... I've got one on my bike for my Android phone. I did have a problem finding a quad lock phone case for my type of phone but got around it using the stick-on quad lock adapter. PS, where did you get your wind deflector on to of the bike screen?
@@RiderCamTV Thanks. Figured it out and found 2nd hand one for £30 on ebay. As brand new ones can be arround £70. They do Gen 2 version which is different design and cheaper. But prefer the one your have. Looking for to getting it installed when it arrives.
Hello. I just want to ask one thing. I’m thinking about quad lock mount, but I’d like to use it both on my mountain bike and my motorbike also. So there’s the question. Does the vibration dampener fit to a bike mount? Or is it only dedicated to motorbike mounts? I’d like to buy just one mount and use it on both. Thanks.
Just as an update on my setup as disappointed and worth highlighting for others with iphones - watched review and purchased the setup for my iphone 14 pro - wireless charging head and damper, all good on the bike, nice neat setup....however..... the quadlock mag case doesn't work reliably with official apple magsafe chargers, weak charge or fails charging and have to remove from the case/plug it in - I did contact quadlock support and they stated that there is a compatibility issue with apple magsafe chargers and their cases, suggested purchasing the desk charger from them (£50!) or returning for a refund (which is obviously all wired into the bike now) - a real shame as used quadlock for years (when they only did mounts for mountain bikes) and disappointed the mag case isn't compatible with apple magsafe charger, apparently 3rd party magsafe chargers are o.k. as a workaround
Got to comment against this, i now only use it in my car. Even with the anti vibe/wireless charging mount. Ive killed two different phone cameras on a KTM and a BMW, just something for people to be aware of on a motorbike, car wise i have never had an issue though and use it daily. Sold all my quadlock bike kit ha.
5:44 why not have an Android? I'm happy to not be locked into the Apple system, as I'm into advanced systems and programming, which is a pain to work with if only using Apple devices. as a Samsung user, and familiar with both Windows and Linux, I get to experience stuff that no Apple user will get on their devices, without a lot of issues, and I can easily develop apps for my devices without all the difficulties that comes with Apple for tech guys like me anyway, the reason I found this video was because of Quad Lock, which I've bought for my first time, because I'm new in the world of 2 wheel riders, getting my license very soon, most likely early next month! :D
also, btw, what's the point of owning an iPhone, if it's used for downloading and using Google services, which comes pre-installed on Android devices? xD *laughting of you, as you were joking about Android*
Great case and mount but it is flawed as it doesn’t charge with my Audi wireless charger or apple wireless charger or my wireless stand, in fact it doesn’t charge with most other wireless chargers only Quadlocks own devices!! Very disappointing from that perspective, I did try to get in touch and did have a online chat but was told exactly what I just discovered above, so they basically said good luck but only our chargers are recommended, pity they take such a poor customer service stance. But great case just don’t expect it to charge.
The anti vibration kit does not work !!! Fitted a brand new iPhone to my motorcycle with the anti vibration kit and now my I phone camera does not work 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Cool, thanks for the tip about the black bit 👍
Love my Quadlock. Great bit of kit.
SP connect for me. 4 years with the same mount and phone, age very well.

Seem to be great but does it manage to charge when running full brightness navigation? Without draining the battery?
Apparently it does. Ride safe
Yep it does :)
You've sold it guys, online shopping here I come....
Eek!
Great design and great quailyt like all PD items but also ridiculously expensive, like all PD items.

You could get a waterproof case and then a sticky quad lock mount for the back.

@@RiderCamTV thanks, I’ve reverted to the above, I did try it with the sat nave on channel 2 on the headset but it all seems to throw a wobbly. 👍

I also wondering as well where he got the windshield extension. Looks alot better quality then cheap chinese ones
Got it or Amazon. It’s a puig screen deflector :)

@@RiderCamTV Many thanks just ordered it.
Quad lock….awesome kit
Didn't work for me case isn't waterproof so binned it and bought ultimate add ons much better than quad lock in my opinion

Think they fit both as both look exactly the same. It’s the handlebar bracket that’s different

What if it rains.
Most phones are waterproof, but they do a poncho for it if you need it
It's excellent, but it's definitely overpriced.

Strange as I use an Apple MagSafe charger at home and in the car and both work fine through the case

Not had any problems so far with ours. Have you contacted quad lock?
@@RiderCamTV yes I have and they are not quick to return the complaint
You would have an Android as is is a better phone 😄😄
🤣
🤢
have you tried peakdesign? they are really good
