I had the ram mount and lost my phone out of it multiple times. Been using and selling the quadlock stuff for about a year and it's fantastic. Even after going down the phone doesn't budge.
I’ve had my quad lock on three bikes now. From a GSX-S750 at 150mph and two hellacious vibrating solid mounted Harley’s and have an iPhone and have had ZERO issues.
@@DakotahNaugle I run a bar offset mount, with the vibration damper and the all weather charger. Once I added the charger I started having issues. Like everything is too heavy for the vibration damper.
@@DakotahNaugle I honestly think it’s a mass thing. Didn’t have issues with my Pro Max until after adding the charger. I don’t have issues with my basic iPhone on the charger, only my Pro Max.
i have it on 3 bikes. 2 125cc singles and a 650cc single. have like 10000miles on the 650 with the quad lock and the vibration damper. only issue i had was i dont have an iphone so couldnt get a case. i used the universal mount. but the 3m tape on it when i stuck it to my phone was terrible it just fell off. i ended up using thicker better 3m and its been on for over a year now.
I have installed this on my MT07 and I am really pleased with its performance. I am considering upgrading to an Antigravity lithium battery. However, I plan on getting a 12v plug adapter to connect it to the Yamaha 12v switched power terminal beneath the tank. This will help prevent the charger from staying on all the time. Currently, I use a bulky smart/auto power adapter which takes up a lot of space. Despite that, I still love my setup.
I have the Quad Lock offset bar mount, with the anti vibration piece and the all weather mag safe charger on my 2024 Street Triple 765 RS. I’ve vibrated the camera out of 2 different iPhone 13 Pro Max phones.
I’ve got several thousand miles with a quad lock. I like them, my only complaint is when I get caught in the rain the rain pancho for it is kind of awkward.
Stretching electrical tape is fine, you just don’t want to stretch the last couple wraps. Wrap them loosely to give the adhesive a chance to stick before the tape starts retracting.
The mag case alone is pretty slept on I think. I haven’t had a quad lock on my bike in months but still rock the mag case. Also jakey, you should look into some flush cut wire snips, wayyy safer than a blade when cutting zip ties 🫶🏻
Wireless charging on a bike has proven to be a bad idea in areas where it gets hot. It tends to overheat the phone and then it shuts down. Not good if you are in bfe and relying on the phone for nav. I use a quad lock, but I cable charge.
If you push adapter blue button to ON position and charger head button OFF, will it still charge? Or if you keep on AUTO, can you still turn it on and off via charger back button?
Yoo say me and my buddy wanted to vlog together but with quads and dirt bikes what should we use camera wise for our helmet and if there a way for us to use mics and talk to each other
Have you tested the klx300sm? Im stuck between the crf300l and the klx300sm. Honda seems to have more potential for engine mods but the kawasaki comes with sm wheels and better suspension.
Quick question: Is this wiring solution very different from splicing a wire from the bike (like the brake light switch) to get power to the charger? That way it should only have power when the bike is turned on right? Given it is the correct voltage of course. I get that this is of course easier than splicing wires :)
I don't like doing that because that circuit wasn't meant for that much current. Sometimes you get away with it but often you start popping fuses. And NEVER put a bigger fuse in. That's not how or why this works.
@@TheGardenSnake no I'm not really worried about that. It's more I need an extremely rugged case that can handle my abuse and to keep all the coal and dust from my job out of my phone. I really like my juggernaut case. It's about the only thing I've found to hold up to what my phone goes thru daily.
Interesting. They do make a stick on piece so you can use your own case. I had a similar thing when I ran a rockform mount. I had a life proof battery case for my phone and wanted to keep using that. So I put a stick on locker and it worked great. Only downside to those stick on lockers is they make the phone a bit thicker.
@@TheGardenSnake id be a lil worried about the sticker losing its stick and then all of sudden I'm watching my phone turn into a bird lol. I've been using my ram mount since 2022 when I bought my supermoto and haven't really ever had one complaint. It holds up shockingly well. Especially with it being on a big single. Just gotta make sure the bands are on right to be extra careful.
I’ve been using quad lock for a few years now and love it. I actually like the case as well. It’s a simple case, but it’s done very well at protecting my phone. I could tell you the crashes it’s survived but the real testimony is I have a 2 year old and my phone has never been damaged.
I hear that, I have stick and branches rip across that part of the bike all the time when I’m trail riding. I’ll definitely pop it off when doing that.
I’m pretty busy these days to go to lot day after day. Work and dad duties have me pretty booked. And UA-cam isn’t actually friendly to videos featuring lots of wheelies.
I have never seen a battery with two sets of terminals! Thats a really good idea!
I think they do it to avoid having to make multiple versions. But it gives you a good option for accessories too.

What happened to Gixxer Brah bike?
I’m working on it. Just haven’t stopped to edit a video lately.

It’s not Gixxer Brahs bike. It’s a clone for content. Gixxer Brah will tell you that. He asked JtGS to fix a messed up clone of his bike.

They have more than iPhone mounts. Pretty sure they do most of the popular ones.
They have cases for pretty much every smart phone made in the last 6+ years

would you be able to do a tutorial on wiring the 12v-24v wireless head?
Exactly what I was looking for, thanks!
That intro is top notch!!!😂😂😂
I noticed you mounted/unmounted the phone case without pushing the levers on the wireless charger down. Is that the typical way to handle it?

Isn't crf300 already have 12V AUX you can just plug into?
Yes but I wanted to show how to do it when thats not an option
The one issue I have is when it's too hot out it stops charging. When its cold out, works great.
