  • NOTaVXR Episode 12
    Hi Mods, Welcome back !
    Today’s episode is something I have been contemplating for a very long time! And something that new government rules forced my hand on... the new rules outlawing some types of 4d plates coming into effect in September means I wanted to get this bad boy in ASAP!
    Using Velcro sounds like such a bad idea but god is it strong and provides a bolt less clean look on any car. Quick and painless to install and allows some adjustment rather then drilling more holes. WIN WIN WIN!!

    “Nothing looks worse than a wonky number plate”
    Me: Nothing sounds worse than this background music.

    I am probably going to upset a few people here, but I think 3D and 4D number plates don't look that great, and they do tend to attract attention from Plod. Each to their own of course, but personally I prefer a nice, clean 2D plate. The heavy duty Velcro fixing idea is sound, certainly better than screws.

      Fair enough! I guess that's the best bit about cars its all about individuality! It is fair enough thankfully I have not had any issues with the plod with regards to my plates so I must be lucky haha.
      It is definitely they have been holding on the plates for the Corsa and the Plymouth for years now! Never skipped a beat! Hope your enjoying the channel!

      I honestly just ordered it from Amazon as long as it’s the heavy duty stuff like I showed it’ll work a treat 🔥👌

    Any issues and are they still holding on? I’ve just got some new number plates because the screws on the front one are rusting, the branding of previous dealers the car has been at are different, which is annoying, and neither are even the brand of car it is lol

    Are you not worried about someone stealing them?

    • @NOTaMOD
      @NOTaMOD  3 роки тому +1

      Not massively, mostly because if someone did think about stealing them they wouldn’t be of any use to them? As the number plates are solely for this car. If that makes sense 😂😂

    How has the Velcro held up 4 months on, any issues with water?

    • @NOTaMOD
      @NOTaMOD  3 роки тому +1

      None at all! Once there set your good to go! First time I did put the Velcro on and it rained just after application and then they didn’t stick at all! So as long as you stick it all down in the dry, it’s then fine in the wet! Both my cars plates are held on with it and both as going strong 👍👌 Touch Wood😂😂
