I went out, purchased what I needed from Home Depot and CVS Pharmacy. I may have done it longer than shown. About 30 minutes. And these lamps were horrible. And now...WOW!!! Not like brand new, but pretty damn close. Try it, you will be amazed!!

I remember when headlights were made of glass. They were brighter and cheaper too. And let's not forget a lot easier to replace and adjust.
And left glass shards on the highway after an accident.
A lot easier to replace? All you have to do is turn the bulb out put a new one in and and no adjustment needed.

Чтобы ваши новые фары были всегда такими и не тускнели, рекомендую сразу обклеить (забронировать) прозрачной авто пленкой, аналогичной той, которую клеют на дверные авто стекла. Это же можно сделать и сразу после такой реставрации фар и вы забудите об этой працедуре в дальнейшем . Я так сделал и фары уже 6 лет, как новые и ещё плёнка защищает пластик фар от сколов при попадании камушков . Я из России.

@@sr4865 i guess those are simple lights, not the curved ones of modern cars. I suspect you know little how expensive modern glass headlights would be and those you list are from 3rd world countries without any consideration to safety.
@@theDudeknows if something is better, why can't it be brought back. The glass doesn't fade like plastic ones. I used to ride KTM DUKE 390 which had glass headlight which was so much better, helpful compared to headlight of plastic in 4 Wheeler which used to be tough especially in rainy season.

@@AoneT5 Bedingt hat es funktioniert. Um z.B. durch den TÜV zu kommen reicht es. Hab es dann mit einem Kit von "HS Scheinwerfer-Aufbereitungsset" wiederholt. Das war wesentlich besser. Bei meinem alten Fiat stellte sich jedoch heraus, dass die Linse vom Abblendlicht im Inneren des Scheinwerfers ebenfalls matt ist (vom Fernlicht hingegen nicht). Ich hab 2 neue Scheinwerfer selbst eingebaut.

I go to 1500 grit paper then tape of the headlight and use 3m polishing compound and a buffer wheel. Same results. Works great 10-4
