Those are some crazy roots! I just did my first prop box today! Phil Brazil, Monstera oblique, Satin Silver pothos, Monstera Peru, Moonlight pothos, and a few wet sticks of monstera adensonii. So excited to watch them grow!
I saw another youtube propagate the string of hearts that way on moss in a tray like that but she just picked the moss up from the tray and laid it on the soil filled pot. It seems much easier and it took root! In the update it was trailing and doing really well. I haven’t tried it yet but plan to in the spring.
Yes that’s a great way to propagate and transplant! Personally, I don’t like to deal with roots getting tangled up in sphagnum moss if I ever have to repot, especially with a SOH with them fragile roots, but I don’t find that roots love sphagnum! ☺️
New Subscriber...I do a lot of propagating but usually propagate plants separately. I love your idea of the box. I'm going to try this method next time. Thanks for your videos. I love follow up videos. Til next time...Cya
Wow amazing results very successful propagation plants are very healthy thanks 🙏 for sharing watching from California I might do that on my propagation I like it have a great day
New subscriber and I loved this video! I really enjoyed watching you pot plants, you’re so relaxing to listen to. Very happy UA-cam suggested your channel!
Great video. I love seeing how your propagation has gone. These are some of my favourite plants. You’ve had great results from this and definitely worth the effort. I am hoping the variegated string of hearts really fills out for you. I’m trying mine in water. Please give us an update on how these plants progress. I think I’ll definitely be trying a propagation box in the future as it looks so easy. 👋🏻
Ty😊for sharing this amazing video. Please do a video (how to mix soil for all of your house plants) ( how to propagate sovh) ty🙏😊 take care stay safe .
I started misting every couple of days or so. Really depends on the ambient humidity and how fast the box dries out. Just need to make sure it is kept moist.
I wish I had your kind of patience. But I don't... Two weeks all I can give or take before I have it in soil. 😔.. And the growth is so slow so slow....
Haha it wasn’t intended patience… I maaaay have just kept putting it off week after week after week 😅 but patience is definitely what I needed for the VSOH repot for sure! 🐌
Uh oh! Sounds like it was too wet/moist. Leave the box open to air dry a bit and it should help to kill off the mold. It may take a while to figure out the sweet spot for the moisture level.
Hi, once you’ve chopped up the string of hearts for replanting, how do you know which side is up and which side is down. Thanks in advance for your reply
Hi! Sometimes you don’t really know until it starts pushing new growth. But if you look closely at the node, you can see the direction the leaves are growing.
I just made a mini prop box by using an empty take-out bowl lol. I put all my succulent leaves in it. I had to cut 2 leggy succulents. I dunno if they are gonna make it. I really hope they will make it 🙏 😔 🙏😔🤞🤞🤞🫣🫣

That looked like so much fun! Had I had more space I would give th propagation box a shot!
It’s so fun watching them grow!
New subscriber and I really enjoyed your video ! so informative
Sphagnum moss works so much better than soil for me. Also perlite works amazing as well

Hi Graham! I’m hoping the VSOH fills out as well. I will definitely try to do updates on these plants. They’re some of my favorite, too! ☺️

Those are good topics! Thanks for the suggestion. Take care! 😊
I can see pilea growing tall and beautiful from last time you propagated them. Good job
Thank you! The reset was pretty successful ☺️
How often did you water or mist?
Thanks in advance your plants are beautiful!

My sticks got moldy in the box after only few days in it. And I removed all the water from the box. Perlite was wet.

@@SuchPlants i will try it, thanks.

Wow! Love your plants! Love your propagation method. I use perlite and/or sphagnum moss and haven’t tried your method. I like it! 🪴🌱
It’s really great when transplanting from soil into soil. The acclimation is almost seamless. ☺️
@@SuchPlants btw… I’m also a new subscriber! 🪴🌱🤗
Could I use my own soil mix? What's a good ratio you would recommend? I usually do 2 parts potting mix, 2 parts orchid mix, and 1 part perlite?
Go ahead and experiment with your own mix. That’s part of the fun! 😆 Sounds like a good chunky ratio to me.
