Lol I think Theo is probably somewhere in the middle. He’s smarter than people think he is but he’s not as big of a country bumpkin as he leads on. He’s still country though. You wouldn’t know how to even put some of his stories together if he weren’t. It’s not all just a “persona”.
These guys seem so genuine and kind
I’m excited to watch the two of them interact during this podcast. They are both deep thinkers and put a unique spin on everyday conversations.
Rainn seems like a very reasonable and down to earth guy, this was a good listen
Really? He seemed good but I’m having to check out now because he literally just brought up income inequality like it’s an actual issue 😂
@@user-qw4ud5cj6j I may have disagreed on some of his political stances and how he sees the world but that’s fine
@@user-qw4ud5cj6jyou don’t think income inequality is an issue? Are you playing dumb?
I know I’m in a weird place in life but regardless, I didn’t realize just how badly I needed this mashup.
Two ridiculously amazing souls that are so easily related to. Truly hope these dudes realize the impact they throw out there 🖤
Rainn Wilson is a virtue signaling pos 😂
Agreed 😊
rainn is kinda sus
@@schzti2455 How?
Around 1:00:00 when they start talking about God.. I do believe that understanding God as being a part of everything is a good stepping stone to finding love and joy connected to nature… knowing you’re a part of that… I read about Zen Buddhism when I was 19 and struggling with God and now I’m a very strong believer as a Christian… it’s interesting how He reaches you in a way that you need… I won’t call Him ‘the great mystery’ like Rainn says, but I will call him ‘I AM’ 🔥🙏
“I don’t know what highway to heaven is, I’ve never even heard of it”
Broke Theo heart
You can tell Theo really learns a lot from his AA meetings and his internal work on self happiness. When he talks to Rainn about Rainn’a failure in his movie film and how Rainn always wanted more and what he had was never enough. The advice Theo gives him sounds like it came straight from an AA meeting about finding happiness and accepting yourself.
The cool thing about that program is that the 12 steps can be applied to almost any problem in someones life to come to a fairly successful outcome
@chrism4008 I am not personally addicted to any substances but I watched a vlog of someone who is decade's sober. I've been amazed that you could apply the steps to anything.
@@chriswest7639 absolutely! Its worth trying it out sometime if you come across a problem you're having difficulty with. The other aspect though, is the fact that society doesnt really hold much in the way of moral values. For me, this meant that when i got clean and became a decent person i was seriously let down because i was under the impression that most people were as well adjusted as people who've worked a serious recovery. The truth is, thats not at all the case. Most people i encounter seem to have backwards morals and no desire to improve themselves. Its like a race to the bottom, and personally i strongly dislike it
I love Rainn and Theo their banter is hilarious
Theo is such an important voice. He is so thought out while keeping everyone's attention with his hilariousness
This was one of my favorites from Theo… very refreshing to hear Rainn and Theo share some ideas. Loved it!
Theo, you owe Rainn a hug.
Watching Theo introduce Rainn to the amazing work that is Highway to Heaven is the highlight of my week. That is JOY!
I love how uncomfortable Theo gets when Rainn gives him compliments
lol i related to theo there, it's sweet how easy it is to spot when he's anxious or uncomfortable. pure soul
It’s his humility and “regular guy” amidst all this fame that warms my heart ❤
Rain Wilson is such a warm person. Nobody could have pull off such an iconic character like Dwight except for him.
Rainn is a spectacle of an actor, his range on the roles he takes are otherworldly and phenomenal
This was awesome! Rainn was such a great guest and it was fun seeing you both engage like this. Hope he comes on more.
Theo is like a brother to me man. People hear him talk and at first glance probably don’t think much of him but he’s actually really smart and aware and he plays that to his advantage. Being funny but still struggling with things on his own but you would never know. We need to protect Theo at all cost
1:28:34 did u catch theo saying he's a cradle ripoff after raine kinda throw his limb analogy under the table which I thought was actually really deep through this whole podcast felt like I was in a room with 2 close brothers and as u know if u had sorry for assuming but u will no brothers wrestle and I don't mean fight which they do but like in the movie Exodus gods and kings when Moses, Cristian Bell is told by Ramsey's,Joel Edgerton that Israel light means one who fights with god and Moses corrects him and says one who wrestle with god there's a difference end quote but it was that moment 1:28:34 was a lil uncomfortable but to see how rains resopnded with sometimes end qute shows if he did get the meaning of theos analogy he understood how much it meant to T and thats what's called overthinking please tell me I'm wrong..... Ps ik my spelling fucked and no punctuation but I'm from that Cormic McCarthy cloth of course he can spell and I have auto correct just to rebal
I love Theo Von because you know he went out of his way to read rainns book just to make a better connection on the show and with him.
Holy shit the feeling like you needed to be connected with earth to make your wishes come true is hitting me so hard, how we treated objects nice cause we thought they had feelings, we didn’t pick plants cause then we’d be punished in our own life, wishing on freaken dandelions and if your wish came true telling everyone about how a flower did it for you! Childhood is soooo fleeting 😭
So true. I am 68 years old a little while longer 😆 🤣 😂 😹 I feel so much younger than my friends and my family members. Mentally I feel 20 years younger than my husband. My elder sister has dementia and my younger sister has betrayed me one too many times. During the worst of the Pandemic I lost 4 beloved elderly pets. Then too many friends passed over such that I stopped counting. I am a trained Marriage Family Therapist with a terminal degree. I would love to sit and chat with Theo, like many of us struggling to be better humans. I am really new to Theo but I am quickly becoming a big fan. Love this synergy between these 2 lovely humans. My favorite episode thus far. Thank you both for this deep sharing. Both voices are so soothing.
@@blueheronprairie I love this so much, thank you for sharing!
Why do people always undermine childhood as a phase? You’re so right, it’s such an important aspect of this life, purity and being yourself.
Your chemistry together is beautiful you really bring out the best in one another! Pleaseeeeee meet up again! It should be a yearly thing for sure!!! This podcast was soothing, funny, full of knowledge, positivity...Best guest ever!
27:31 when theo quickly says "no you're not!" Lol so cute
You could tell he was really listening to Rainn's story. He responded so fast ❤
As a postman listening to this as I deliver my route. I appreciated the recognition ❤.
Thank you for your service! 😊
Same here brotha!
Such a wonderful, deep, inspirational conversation between two comedians we can all gain something from. We are truly in trying times.

Wilson "The food in Iceland is expensive"
Von "Really?"
Wilson "Yeah a pizza was like 80 bucks"
Von "Does it cost alot to heat it up? 😂😂😂
Funny joke but most things in Iceland are expensive except heating and electricity, much cheaper than in the rest of Europe and North-America.
Couple of very funny, humble and thoughtful humans, loved this one. Theyve got a good vibe
It feels really good to hear the positive message about religion.. as a Christian, recovering addict, Theo fan, The office (rain Wilson and the rocker) fan, overall comedy fan, this is just a unique podcast experience this week. Thank you ❤❤ target audience reached
Ikr especially these days how everyone talks crap about religion
@@gonelucid they talk crap about Christianity not Islam
@@gonelucid exactly, it’s almost taboo to speak of faith now a days
If you haven’t seen “Super” its a great movie Rainn stars in!
It’s always Christianity that they come for. Never hear Hollywood making fun of Buddha or Islam, etc… ALWAYS just Christians and Christianity. It’s weird.
His stories about growing up with Mose are gonna be 🔥! Can u imagine the shannanigans?!
Have a 5 hour drive tomorrow morning, just bought the audiobook of Rainn’s new book on audible, hyped to listen!
Does he read it himself?
I got the fortunate opportunity to hear/watch the Return of the Rat set by doing stage security for Theo in Phoenix and he made himself available to do a quick thank you meeting with all the ushers and guards, great and humble guy in person.
The new set is funny and so are his openers. Hope the set makes it into a special!
Rainn was phenomenal in Hesher- an incredibly underrated and overlooked movie. Thanks for everything you brought to the screen 🙌 A lot more than just Dwight
watching “rainn”say he was a fan and Theo von saying “really” was the cutest you could tell that was like a dream come true ❤
The whole jobsite is loving this right now! 💪Theo is a legend!
I’m so happy theos getting the love he deserves lately
"Havin to pretend someones casserole is good to their face, dude."
Why Theos loved!
this is like listening to a conversation between two different types of uncles
I’m listening to this in Mobile, Alabama and I’m currently going thru a break up after 8 years. So that REALLY caught me off guard. I love both of you guys!

They got you! Hope you're doing better.
Hope things are going gud brother
The battling self pity being a way to prevent cynicism from sneaking in. Well said.
