Bought the bar end mirrors off eBay for about £35 (CNC'd alloy)... Will have a look for the company I bought them from & post it here shortly. They have been excellent with plenty of adjustment & stay put after tightening (although I thread locked them just incase ;-).
I just subscribed. How tall are you? Thank you for the info of the windshield height comparsion with the "F" version. Some say that it is hard to keep it at steady speed on the highway. Did you notice that? Do you think that also the 2020 model have this? Thanks in advance.
I'm 5'9". The way many people have described the throttle is like trying to poor water into small bottle via a bucket. It can be done, but why should one have to use a bucket instead of a funnel. #jerky I believe the latest models have an updated ECU & different cam profile on the throttle tube to try & address the 1st generation GSX-1000S/F. The suspension (particularly rear remains the same I believe) & is not the best on the rear. Those & the poor quality of Suzuki's fixtures & fittings that detract from what is an excellent machine! Many more positives than negatives in my opinion. But it's all subjective to individual tastes obviously. Still very happy with mine on the whole for the price point. 👍
tbh I personally wouldn't bother with the 750 version. They're very different machines. The 1000 is similar price on insurance as the majority of supersport 600's. The 750 is strangled by emissions regs & Suzuki deliberately taming it. Stepping from an sv650 (was my first big bike) to the 750 wouldn't be much of a step in my opinion. The 1000 is a different beast! Basically a detuned superbike engine, with day to day comfort & plenty of torque. 😉 Still has a a top end though... Above 7k it wants to rip your arms off like a superbike. 👍
@@mr.fingerbrake2323 I totally agree. The only reason against is the "so-called" snatchy throttle that 750 doesnt have as far as I read. Do you know if it possible to put a central stand on 1000? I havent seen it yet. Thanks. p. s. You had older SV or the latest? How did you get used to 1000 and how quick it was? Thanks.
Chassis/frame not designed to accommodate a centre stand on the 1000. I don't think the 750 has the option either. I had the older sv650. You'll easily adapt your riding to accommodate the extra torque/power. You will go through rear tyres quicker though due to the extra torque. But it's a very easy bike to ride. So you could swing a leg over it & feel comfortable & confident from an sv650. But it is a doubling in the power output remember, so don't grab handfuls of throttle first time out lol.
What a beautiful machine, compact and muscular ! Classic!
Just fit the Katana throttle tube....job done...available on suzuki gb website around £24
Hi my name is Robert I have got the Gsx s 1000 suzuki and I got the same b on the throttle grip what can I do about it

@@mr.fingerbrake2323 Thanks. My bike is SV650 but I like gsxs very much. When upgrading i will go for 750 or 1000. What was your previous bike?
