How bad is the drone? Could you post a few clips of it driving in everyday scenarios and maybe some higher revs?
i have the same setup. there’s a lot of drone on the highway. it’s bad. rolling around 65 it’s not terrible but anything over that it gets pretty annoying
IMO it doesn’t drone LMAO I actually think it’s pretty balanced. Loud but not too loud when getting on it and loud enough when driving normally
By the time that you did this video, did you also remove the catalytic converter? Or just the resonator?

@@jayReLeNtLeSs I got them on mine too (black 2016 as well) dealership powder coated them red, it looks decent but i think i wanna powder coat them chrome. Best stock wheel, and looks too dang good on the car to get rid of them.

Correct just a resonator delete! I’m stage 1+ currently but it sounds the same, at the time I just had an AEM intake

@@onuohafamily I got the same thing done it was about $100 expect to pay around 60 to 120, anything more than that they are ripping you off

Hey dude, you can take your car to your local muffler shop or one of your choice and tell them you want the resonator taken out. Also don’t forget I have a GLI (2.0T) so I’m not sure how it sounds on the 1.4T’s and 1.8T’s. I’m sure there’s some clips out there check it out! And for the pops and crackles that’s actually on cold start while the motor is not at “operating” temp LOL. Hope this helps bro 🙏🏾

That’s what’s up bro sometimes I wish I got that DSG LMAO but it doesn’t drone at all imo, and as for farts I’m not sure lol. I get some light pops in between shifts and even downshifts so maybe? I’m sure someone must’ve done a vid on that ☝🏾

Hey man, I'm thinking of doing this to my '14 GLI. Quick question, how loud is it when driving normally? like percentage over stock? Also any drone at all? I don't want something too loud, nothing close to a straight pipe or even a catback.
Hey bud thanks for the comment! I’ve seen a lot of different opinions on this matter lol. If I had to put a % on it, it has been a while but I’d easily say 25-35% I guess. IMO it does not drone but I’ve seen a few people say it does but I think it comes down to preference. I don’t want you take my word for it 🤣 but I do not regret the res delete in a single aspect. Best $64 I spent on this car 👍🏾

@@grahams5146 no it pops at low rpms too 👍🏾 sometimes right under 3k, real subtle but you can hear it pops

I believe the factory setup has only 1 resonator and it's basically in the center but you mentioned full turbo back exhaust so it's aftermarket I'm assuming lol. Maybe delete both resonators on your setup?

Hello, I am a viewer living in Korea. I am operating the 2016 vw jetta mk6 facelift 2.0 tdi premium model. I am looking for a genuine spring exclusively for gli, but it is difficult to know the item number of genuine parts because the 2016 vw jetta gli model is not imported to our country. I asked the service center and they said if i check the overseas gli's VIN, they can check the item number of springs, so I need the VIN of the 2015-2016 vw jetta mk6 facelift gli model.. If you don't mind, can I ask you to check the your gli's VIN? Don't worry, I won't use it for anything other than checking the item number. plz, i'm in desperate need of item number of springs.
Wth you shouldn't need MY vin bud LMAO just search up lowering springs that fit your car's year, model along with specified trim. Nice try
