So I’m taking my time with this install LMAO working a little too slow here. First time really working on the car aside from the intake so I’m working being real meticulous and shit 😂 me and my right hand man tackled the trans out with the help of the transmission jack after wrestling it for hours. It’s been about a year since the resonator delete, I think it’s the perfect balance IMO if you want something for your GLI that’s not loud in general but it’s loud enough when you get into it. Thanks for watching, like and subscribe to stay tuned for more videos 🙏🏾

What size socket is that axle bolt?
Bro I’m goin thru the same problem rn. When you disconnected the battery terminal. Did you unplug or close the uniconnect software before doing so? It gives me a warning when I close out during the flash. But I can’t get back to the normal start screen
Have same ride but red 2017 GLI. Are you pulling stage 1 with stock turbo? Have you had Any issues with stock turbo?
The bracket doesn't have to come off, the disc slide in and out easily.
I just did the same on my 2015. There was enough clearance to remove it with bracket still on

bro how do u get the top mounts on the front shocks? I can’t hold them bc i have adjustable dampening and it just spins

now do u have to take rear wheels off everytime to adjust dampening ?
and what dampening setting did u find rode the best?
You should slap on some wheel spacers. 15mm in the rears and 10mm in the front. To give it that flush fit look or stance whatever people call it. I did the same on my 2013 gli. Looks sick
What's your wheel set up?
I have set of neuspeed RSe142 Light Weight Wheel 18” x 8 1/2.
If you do put extended wheel studs but these have lug bolts.

I noticed you didn't use the metal piece that was the bottom of the top mount for the front strut is that not supposed to be used? I've been having issues with mine like making a tapping noise over small bumps and I think that might be the culprit
I’ve had mine in for the longest time and always had the question of why it would make that clunky noise. Have you taken it out? I’m about to and I want to know if anything bad happens after that?
@@Polo.289 I left it in. Ended up replacing the strut mounts with OEM and it went away

Make sure the reason your passenger side isn’t sitting higher is because it could be literally resting on the axle because these cars require a frame notch to go very low you might be just smacking your axle on your frame
Thank you for the tip 👍🏾 I don’t think I actually ever went that low but I’ll keep that in mind if I ever decide to lower her some more 🙏🏾

Hey man, I'm thinking of doing this to my '14 GLI. Quick question, how loud is it when driving normally? like percentage over stock? Also any drone at all? I don't want something too loud, nothing close to a straight pipe or even a catback.
Hey bud thanks for the comment! I’ve seen a lot of different opinions on this matter lol. If I had to put a % on it, it has been a while but I’d easily say 25-35% I guess. IMO it does not drone but I’ve seen a few people say it does but I think it comes down to preference. I don’t want you take my word for it 🤣 but I do not regret the res delete in a single aspect. Best $64 I spent on this car 👍🏾

Do you have the link for the clutch install instructions from ecs?
I got a hold of the install manual directly thru ECS! You should be able to locate it under any ECS branded clutch kit, it’s a somewhat general install manual but if can follow along and make sure you don’t miss anything!!
