    Basil is packed with beta-carotene, vitamins A, B6, C, E and K as well as minerals Calcium, Iron, Potassium and Manganese. 1 teaspoon of dried basil has as much calcium as a half glass of cow's milk.
    Simply pick the leaves and add to your dogs meals for an excellent source of fiber, antioxidants and chlorophyll to take away body odor, bad breath and to alleviate constipation and bad gas.
    Oregano is packed with vitamins and minerals. It's an aromatic and medicinal plant with incredible healing properties known since ancient times. It contains vitamins A,C, E, B6, K, as well as iron, magnesium, calcium and potassium.
    It also contains rosmarinic acid, a powerful antioxidant and it's essential oils are anti inflammatory and anti microbial known to aid the healing of allergies, asthma, digestive problems, flu, gum disease, mange, yeast infections and kennel cough.
    Red Clover is one of nature's anti cancer, blood purifier and immune system enhancers.
    Red clover contains beneficial isoflavones and including its phytoestrogens, red clover is a valuable source of calcium, chromium, magnesium, niacin, phosphorus, potassium, thiamine, and vitamin C.
    Red clover can be used internally and externally as a preventative measure. It comes either as dried herbs, as a tea or as a tincture. Give a small pinch to a small dog and a larger pinch to a big dog if using dried herbs. Follow the guidelines on the bottle if using as a tincture and using your dogs body weight.
    The Astragalus herb, a member of the pea family has been used for thousands of years by the Chinese in herbal healing and as part of Ayurvedic medicine.
    Astragalus is called an adaptogen, meaning it helps protect the body from physical, mental, or emotional stress. This herb will enhance your dogs immune system to more powerfully defend from diseases such as cancer while at the same time helping to strengthen the digestive tract, the thyroid, heart, lungs, kidneys and the all important liver.
    Astragalus works in similar fashion to echinacea by increasing the levels of certain immune cells to fight pathogens. Now on high alert, these immune defence cells will consume or kill microbial enemies, viruses and cancer cells.
    Astragalus comes in capsules and tincture form. You can use up to 10 drops of the tincture per 10lbs of your dogs lean body weight twice daily.
    Dandelion is another common back yard weed with pretty yellow flowers. This herb is a bitter herb that helps break down fats in the body by stimulating the digestive system and reducing inflammation.
    Dandelion will increases circulation in the body and helps to heal inflamed lining of the lower gastrointestinal tract. It's also excellent for reducing lipomas or fatty cysts on the skin by helping to remove toxins through the kidneys and liver.
    Buy a tincture of dandelion and give your dog a 1/2 drop of tincture per pound of body weight.
    Edible herbs add a powerful nutritional and herbal boost to your dogs health and wellbeing.

    What can we use to prevent heart worms ???

    • @DanScott1
      @DanScott1  Рік тому +1

      The best way I know is to run a 28 day protocol once annually using: Black Walnut, Clove & Wormwood Extract: amzn.to/2S8paBE
      Kills worms 100%. Heartworm takes 5 months to gestate once infected so a once annual treatment will siufice. Depending on your dogs size, you give X drops daily in food for 14 days, stop 7 days, then a further 14 days and done. The dog will be clear of eggs, larvae and adults. I did a dog worms video on this.

    • @DanScott1
      @DanScott1  2 роки тому +1

      The herbs you add just before serving the food, they don't go in the pot for cooking. The broth is just the bones etc. Herbs want to be given fresh/dry/tincture separately. Give the dandelion tincture before food to stimulate appetite and help the kidneys, gut and increase circulation.

    I have been giving my dogs that weigh 22 pounds a teaspoon of Green Vibrance Superfood with their morning meals. Should I still be giving them goat milk and bone broth?

    • @DanScott1
      @DanScott1  2 роки тому

      The GVS is great for full body support, including it's probiotics for digestive support and many other benefits. The goat milk is for live enzymes, proteins and some nutrition. The bone broth is great nutrition, gelatin, minerals etc
      So I'd give all three for different reasons but knowing that they are very beneficial to your dogs ongoing health and wellbeing as a whole.

    hey Dan, 2 of my puppies had hookworms & we don’t think they got rid of them completely & they have been pooping diarrhea & they have been vomiting & they do look a little skinner, do you think that’s still the hookworms ? & also they has a lot of pimples & black spots on their bellies, is that a yeast infection ? and if so what do you recommend for both ?

    • @DanScott1
      @DanScott1  2 роки тому

      To start with, get rid of the worms as they can cause secondary infection. Once they are gone, then see the condition of the belly as it may be connected. Use the natural choice.
      The treatment: amzn.to/2RjOSCN
      The sickness could well be from the synthetic treatment you gave them, it's harsh poison on a dogs system that can upset the kidneys, immune system, nervous system and more.

    Hello, is Rhodiola safe for dogs? Or is there any herb I can give my dog who was recently diagnosed with IMHA.

    • @DanScott1
      @DanScott1  2 роки тому +1

      Rhodiola is used for increasing energy, stamina, strength and mental capacity; and as a so-called “adaptogen” to help the body adapt to and resist physical, chemical, and environmental stress. Yes it's safe.
      This is a tricky subject and one I could not go into here as there's so much to it.
      I'd look at healthy diet ie fresh food diet not kibbles, supplements that boost immunity such as beta glucans via a good mushroom complex: amzn.to/3y2U4KA, a low stress environment and zero drugs/vaccines of any kind which may be difficult at this time with the vets.
      Oh and probiotics as standard in meals, start low, build up: amzn.to/3xqa2i0
