    I used to let my Aussie, Liberty, free in my mother's backyard. With all the flowers and shrubs she had in her yard, Liberty would go straight to the echinacea flowers and eat the leaves off the plant. It was like she knew it was a beneficial herb. She never bothered with any other flowers or shrubs, only the echinacea.

    Thank you so much , was making some Christmas cookies for them and was trying to find out if it is safe to put a little pinch of cinnamon and ginger in but I won't take that chance now . I make up home made toothpaste to clean their teeth with organic raw virgin coconut oil , D.E and a little ginger powder that I found on a youtube channel but I'm a little wary now . Appreciate you sharing as I trust you have our family members best interest at heart

    🙋 Thanks for this video 👍🏻 Dr. What are your thoughts about giving my 15lb dog Soverign Sliver daily. I’m using a syringe made for veterinary use to measure to the 3 mark. I’m looking to help her over all health, but now I’m thinking I may be hurting her. I’ve been giving this to her for around 6 to 8 weeks. Mindi is 9ish and has the pattaloma virus. Please share your thoughts. 🐶💋love your dog too 😘

    Thanks for answering the tea tree oil question I asked in another comment I made on your video about treating a hot spot infection. This is great information Love your videos. Slippery Elm for stomach disorders would you recommend that?

    • @lilchi721
      @lilchi721 6 років тому +2

      Bubcvision yeah Slippery Elm is very safe for dogs who have upset stomachs I use it sometimes when my older dog is nauseous.

      @BUBCvision 6 років тому +1

      Thanks Lilchi72 , I'm just having trouble finding it where I live in QC Canada my puppy had an upset stomach recently and it was recommended to me but too slippery for these parts and I have no idea what you call it in french maybe I'll google it...Orme glissant I don't think soo translates to elm slides LOL

    • @lilchi721
      @lilchi721 6 років тому +1

      Bubcvision you can get it in Capsule form at Walmart but I usually order the powder from Amazon since it saves me the trouble from breaking the capsule open and then trying to measure the dosage that way. Make sure you give it to your puppy before, during or after meal time. If the problem is known to be in the upper GI (stomach or small intestine), taking it before meals will provide the best protection.

      That's brilliant thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I'm going to keep certain items in house to go to when small problems develop. It's been over 13 years since I had a puppy and forgot all about the troubles they stir up.

    I've used 10ppm colloidal silver for eye infections and skin infections on my dogs with great success. I've used it myself for years from clearing ear infections to tonsillitis in a matter of days. I hear it's good for general everyday immune support in humans. I didn't find much info on it for dogs but was casually told by a friend who was in vet school a few years back but later dropped out, that it was fine for dogs. Do you have any experience with it?

    How about herbs applied to homemade dog food? I would like to try parsley. I also want to add a little bit more extra flavor to the food. I put lean ground beef, brown rice, and green beans. My dog will eat it but she doesn't go crazy about it. I tried it and it's really good. If I were to eat this she would sit and beg for it as she does with all dinner foods I make for my family.

    What about colloidal silver?

    • @ohheyitsme.1730
      @ohheyitsme.1730 6 років тому

      Janene Sleem colloidal silver can be damaging to intestinal Flora if used too often for humans. Probably the same for pets.

      Sophie Banks I was told it was good for both virus and bacteria infections. I did use it on mine when she had a bad cough and it cleared it up... However you might be right since her stomach was a bit off after. I do give her probiotcs too.

    • @ohheyitsme.1730
      @ohheyitsme.1730 6 років тому +3

      Janene Sleem I think it's okay for occasional use but not to use as a tonic like many people use it. It's not good for intestinal Flora from what I have heard. However there is something called Silver Biotics that is amazing. I buy it online at Vitacost. It helped my dog with an eye infection. But the best thing hands down that I have EVER taken myself or given to my dogs is CBD oil made from hemp. I use the brand Anceint Life Oil. They have a pet formula. Amazing stuff! Hence why it's was outlawed.

    Wonderful presentation. Thank you so much, Dr Jones. Love to see more specifics on supplements, oils, and natural remedies. I'm altering my supplement supply right now. Is there an alternate to wormwood for plaque removal from the arteries (and teeth)? It helped to save my dog from heart disease, using 2 weeks on, month off, 2 on, mo off, ... for half a year, but the side effects look really dangerous.
