They would sing a beautiful harmony to this song and my mom and my aunt would dance around the living room. Such a beautiful memory.
The first time I heard Hank I was so amazed and impressed by him. The voice is just a pure well of emotion and misery. what a timeless classic ,this tune and hank williams .arent we lucky to be able to enjoy this master.
The young lady gushing and swaying away is adorable! Love this song!
There was a time when music like this was possible and Hank Sr was the man to make it. Hank's gone and the time is over.
HANK WILLIAMS FOREVER - - HE NEVER DIED - - HE JUST WENT TO ANOTHER LEVEL - -HEAVEN _!
Hello, how are you doing today, I hope you’re having a wonderful day?
The Godfather of rock 'n' roll and all other genres of music. To me the best singer, songwriter ever!
I Guess you're a country MUSIC lover?
@@JamesSmith-yg1io Yes I am and to me Mr Williams is the greatest ever. I recall whilst growing up here in Australia buying his old yellow and black 78's and his ten inch albums. If you listen to 'Why Don't You Love Me' that to me is the first ever rock 'n' roll song. Incredible songwriter and then Bob Wills of course with Patsy Cline and Ricky Skaggs. Plus our own stars such as Slim Dusty. Reg Lindsay, Buddy Williams and Jimmy Little..
@@happyolddude yeah that's true, same here I grow up listening to country songs. Where are you from if I may ask?
@@JamesSmith-yg1io I am from a small seaside village in Northern New South Wales in Australia and still play Hank to this very day.

"I've got a hot rod ford and a two dollar bill." Oh shit hank was an original pimp daddy.
Lmao!
Funny.
Chigger D' Chode Well there's one think that the white people owned.
"We can go to spot right over the hill, there's soda pop and the dancins' free so, If you wanna have fun come along with me."- I don't think any young "pimp daddy" these days would be capable of saying anything more effective to get a date than this using today's vanacular with the modern female audience...
they throw the word pimp around like that's something to aspire to.I remember a time when a pimp's life wasn't worth five cents.......ooohhh the good ol days.........
Hank Williams! What a great writer-performer. I learned to appreciate him after living in Houston TX for awhile where Country music is everywhere. Hank's music always lifts my spirits. God bless him.
Adm jhon
His voice is beautiful and soothing
❤❤👂👂
This was such a big hit way back in the 1950s Now aged 87, I still remember it well and still love it. Thanks Hank. I owe you for giving me so much pleasure. England, December, 2023.
Just heard this on a Perdue commercial. Had to hear the whole thing again. Reading some of the comments below, I amazed that people complain. This song swings.Hank wasn't a big star for nothin'
I been hearing it too
Yeah I heard it in a commercial and was thinking that sounds like a good song
Samee
that is so funny that's the exact same reason I wanted to hear it
Girls fainted over this dude. He was a singer before his time
I love reading the comments of music videos of Hank or Cash, and just seeing a community come together and express their combined love for an artist.
September 17th this year'll make his 100th birthday.
Hank is the King. The charisma in this video was contagious. He died so damn young.
I Guess you're a country MUSIC lover?
I am young compared to many Marty fans. My father was a HUGE fan...Been listening since I was in the crib! Daddy is gone... I have his Marty collection (A LOT). I laugh, I cry...When I listen and remember my Daddy!!! ❤
My father courted my mother with Hank Williams. I remember my father and my mom's sister's husband used to jam to this song. My dad was an accordion ace and my uncle played a funky country guitar. They would sing a beautiful harmony to this song and my mom and my aunt would dance around the living room. Such a beautiful memory.
He had a hard and short life. Another legend done in by the bottle. Thanks for the tunes Hank, rest easy
Done in by his spina bifida, and he self-medicated cause that was all he could do !
@@MikeSmith-fs9wh thank u mike
This is so fabulous. I love the band, all those little flourishes… Those guys were talented!❤❤❤
Yes. What a nice group I love listening to this song. How are you Lydia ?
Hey Lydia 😊
Rae brought me here, and I am so thankful. May her dad rest in peace
The first time I heard Hank I was so amazed and impressed by him. The voice is just a pure well of emotion and misery. I always show people his songs and though they don’t really care for it all that much, it just reminds me even more that I know what real music and singing is. And that I have one of the greatest idols and heroes ever.
The Legend. Never be another one like him. 🙌 💜
Anyone come here because that genuinely like hank?
Yep, I've been listening to Hank since I was a young kid back in the 50s, I turned 8 years old the year he died.

Another brilliant comet gone too soon into the heavens. He said he was sure gonna live till he died. Too much talent for any man to handle.
He was born with spina bifida. That’s why he died so young.

HAPPY 100th ANNIVERSARY TO THE LEGEND🎉
Doin fine and dandy
Just finished watching I Saw The Light. Gave me cause to do research into the shooting star career of one of the 20th century's greatest American artists. Just amazing to believe he did all of that, and never reached 30 years.
This and 100s of other country songs are the ones my mom and dad played in various bands when I was growing up. This song had cutting edge lyrics for that time. Was always a great kitchen party favorite . So then I grew up and went and sang and played in a bunch of different rock bands .Now I've come full circle and have realized over the years that you cant beat an honest well written song . They stand the test of time . Hank was one of the best .. My dad would have loved this video and would have smiled the whole time. Thank you so much for posting this. It made my day.
I play for residents in a nursing home. Can you shoot me 10 easy sing-along songs that maybe they would sing with me on? This is one of the greatest country sing-along songs but I'm having trouble finding some that are comparable to this.
His music will never get old he is a classic and I think we're cherishing his life by listening to his music
I remember playing GTA years ago and always hearing the song on the radio. Gotta love GTA to showings amazing tracks like this ❤
My grandma showed me this song & it’s been our song since.
Wow 😍
Tell her play Blues Man by hank jr for u

What a talented man Hank Williams was! And this video is such a treasure--getting to see him perform live!😊💒
Hi Jody hope you’re okay?
@@02waltercoverin71 Why do you care? You're a complete stranger to me. Go away.
@@jodywilke4642 oh really? But you just need to know that sometimes strangers are good more than the close friends you have
Hard to believe this man died at only 29. I can only imagine how long and fruitful his career would've been if he hadn't died.
Harder to believe he did all he did in his addiction condition. Only person thats close is Ozzie
he just traded his spurs for wings
Hard to believe he was only in his 20s here. He looks much older
Hard to believe this man was getting into drunken bar fights on a daily basis. Fortunately he lived long enough to give us Hank Jr.
He couldn't have done it forever. This level of artistic openness often can only come about when people go all in, and it often kills them.
Hands down in my humble opinion the greatest country and western song ever!!

I love this song so entertaining what a unique voice. How are you Michelle ?
Hello dear, I hope you are doing well over there now, if I may ask..?
My grandmother was Country--old time religion; no dancing, no alcohol, no playing cards. My earliest memory of her is her singing along to "Hey Good Lookin' " She was not dancing, but she was moving around around her big Kitchen, cooking, to the radio.
i gotta confess i watched "i saw the light" just for tom hiddleston but songs were too good i think i love hank williams now
Same!
I love his songs but Hiddleston is not a singer didn't do Hank justice, acting yes singing no
Kathy Wales he isn't a singer but he is good at singing (there is a difference) and definitely a good actor.that's why he played a role in a movie instead of making an album.
i dont know. I think the less emphasis on the musical performance brought the attention to Hank Williams character, which i knew almost nothing about(past the actual music) I think that made the movie great.
Hiddleston and Miss Olsen deserved Oscar nominations.
