You'll never know how much it hurts to see you sit and cry
You know you need and want my love, yet you're afraid to try
Why do you run and hide from life, to try it just ain't smart
Why can't I free your doubtful mind and melt your cold, cold heart?
There was a time when I believed that you belonged to me
But now I know your heart is shackled to a memory
The more I learn to care for you, the more we drift apart
Why can't I free your doubtful mind and melt your cold, cold heart?
Laurylie Polito the real mvp

No matter how many time's I have heard this song it seems to get better each time I listen to this great Singer.
Whoever thought that screwing up the video with all that nonsense has no respect for history. This is one of only 3 known videos of hank...and the best quality.
Awesome video don't talk shot about hank Williams please I listen all day long love ya hank rip
there are lots of videos from the Kate Smith evening hour show. look them up.
hank was great
Listened to it with my daddy in the 70s and here I am in 2024 still listening
When I was very young my Dad and I would sit in the car on the driveway and listen to the Grand Ole Opery on the radio. Mama wasn't too crazy about this kind of music (poor thing). Night time was the only time we could pick up Nashville TN in San Antonio TX on the radio. I heard 'em all. What wonderful memories of the music and my Dad.
im only 35yrs old,but remember listening to this when I was little with my dad,i absolutely love my hank,so many great memories, thanks hank
Yes same here my dad was a truck driver and we would go on the road with him and listen to these songs some of the best times in my life

Hello dear, how are you doing?
The older I get the more I value this man's words. He's right all along.
When i was 7 i didn't felt i was just a kid listening to k-rose radio on PS2, when i was 17 i liked a bit, but now I'm 20 and i understand you perfectly, forever the greatest songwriter of all times, the best we ever had that man who made me pick up my first guitar i hope to make it to Alabama someday
As you get older the more you value the words, as he was right all along. A man in his 20's was right all along. Crazy isn't it? A man in his 20's spoke so much truth
I couldn't have said that better. It sure does ring true buddy, God bless
Loving Hank ...how can you not

The Hillbilly Shakespeare...there were other greats, but no one greater. The eternal definitive, definition of love unrequited.
I usually listen to blues, rock, jazz, etc. Not a big country music fan, but I LOVE Hank Williams! Transcends the genre with his heartfelt, beautiful singing💔💝
Hank is a sweet boy❤
Aww man you should seriously look into bluegrass and folk it's so good, it's got as much history and they're all connected really
Hank Williams Sr's music is amazing, an excellent artist
unique song and antique video
I agree with those commenters who say the best part of this video is Hank's singing. Could we just see Hank's performance without the scenery overlays? There are so few clips of Hank Williams' actually performing that I am mesmerized watching him.
Thought the same
Here’s the full song without the overlays:

Great real country. Hank was the best. I always find it interesting how prolific of a writer Jr. was, even though the styles were so different. Deep respect for both.

Hello Catherine, how are you doing?
I've loved a really great cover of this by Norah Jones for a long time, but nothing beats the original. Love Hank, and his granddaughter Holly Williams
the father of country music
There will never be another Hank Sr.
Hello So sorry for the infringe on your privacy. Beautiful song.
Hi Lorraine…
I was raised on this music. My mother's love for Hank Sr along with so many other country artists and Ken Burns recent biopic of country music brought me here. Just watched episode 3 "The Hillbilly Shakespeare". Watch it with a box of Kleenex. His music came from his heart.
Hello Sue, how are you doing?
Hi Sue hope you’re okay?
Hello Susan👋👋
Hank had more talent in his little finger than THE WHOLE MUSIC INDRUSTY today.
I just look at him and think, bless him! I am certainly glad I found Hank Williams (in my late 40's) and the superb songbook he left us.
Hello Brad how are you doing
@@kennedyanderson9133 Good, howmare you?
@hello Brad how are you doing?
Another love before my time made your heart sad and blue / And so my heart is paying now for things I didn't do.
“Cold, Cold Heart,” Hank Williams, 1951
In those days, 40’s & 50’s, songs were cut as singles on Vinyl, front and back ! Cold, Cold Heart on front ! Your Cheatin Heart on back ! Both on top hits at the same time ! I was 15 when Hank Williams passed ! An ugly gray day ! And cold ! May GOD Bless his Precious Soul !
@Hello Alfred how are you doing?
