Just remember, don’t go through an automatic car wash with those “spinning mops” (worst type of car wash for your paint imho) those things will mangle your Rho plate! Nice vid and super nice ride!

I assume you need a front plate because of your area and you're not just doing this for fun? I'm thinking of getting a Golf R and I'm worried it will come with a front plate bracket already mounted. I really don't want holes in my bumper and it looks so clean without.

The Rho Plate that he is using still sets off the parking sensors. I know because I ordered one for my 2018 Golf R and it still gets set off.

I have this on my 7.5 Gti and the fucking sensors go off no matter where you mount it unless you use that piece that drops it lower.. but then you can see the hole the mount is coming from.

You think your pleased now, just wait to you take it to the carwash, this experience will wipe the smile right off your face. Plan on washing by hand everytime. I took my car in for service at the VW dealer and told the assholes not to wash my car, went in for an oil change and wound up at the collision shop with bumper, hood and headlight damage from the plate getting ripped off the car and tangled in the automatic carwash brush wheel.

You don’t need to drill into the bumper, this is where we have our plates in the UK - conveniently in between the 2 parking sensors.
