I have this exact kit. Awesome fit. The only thing that this mount might interfere with is directional air flow that is meant to go into the stock center intercooler. So when driving, let's say at freeway speeds, the air might get defused or redirected somewhere else other than the IC? I still like this design over all others

Yeah it sucks, especially how much money per month they wanted from me just for a single thread in the classified section. I'm glad the plate mount is working out for you! :D
my solution was using the provided license bracket, I used the 3M double sided velcro tapes and mounted the plate dead center without drilling any holes. If i ever need to remove it, i can use a paint friendly remover type with q tips and get the bracket off the bumper.
DouisMaximus: But why not drill 2 holes and attach the bracket firmly with screws?🤔
PKGTI If you own one of these, or another German sports car, you'd know that drilling holes on the front bumper is never good especially if you ever want to sell the car again. Otherwise why even watch this video.
DouisMaximus: In fact I do "own one of these", being exactly the reason I watch this video. As a matter of fact I own a brand new Golf 7 R since mid December last year, FYI... If having holes for attaching a front license plate would be a problem in case the car would be sold, then what about the rear license plate? It's also attached with screws.
PKGTI nice purchase. I also own the new 2017 Golf R as well. That said, I originally commented to provide an alternate option for mounting the front plate without drilling holes. If you want to do that, by all means. Your car. Your decision. Some of us prefer not to drill holes. I just don't like this off center tow hook mount option so this was the next best option for me. I'm not the only one who uses these Velcro tapes. Also, not all states require front license plates but all states are required to have rear license plates.
DouisMaximus: Well, a front license plate is obligatory in 31 U.S. states. Plus, I agree for symmetry reasons attachment on the bumper center looks best by far.
Over here in Europe all Golf 7s come standard with OEM front license plate brackets because front license plates a) are obligatory, plus b) have standardized dimensions.
I wish I got this instead of my U.S. mill works. Oh well new to MK7 GTi and VW.
