About a month ago, I was going to pull the trigger on a SPE CCV reroute kit and had to get my 6.7 smogged first. I asked the technician if I could legally install the reroute kit and he said no way, I would never pass. Being in Washoe County NV he said apply all California rules to your truck. I was pissed. Now this recirculating kit looks like SPE solved my problem! Well done! So far I have no oil leaks, and I want to keep it that way.
I can attest that SPE products and innovation are absolutely second to none! I have spent and will continue to spend my hard earned money on genuine SPE products! 😃 However, I have grown to absolutely loath 😒 communicating questions with SPE, as the person usually fielding my questions is typically curt/rude, condescending, and literally of little to no help (This is not Amy, she's terrific!). Consequently and unfortunately, I am left with getting the bulk of my questions answered via internet/UA-cam searches. Regardless, SPE keep up the excellent development/pioneering work and providing products that make our rigs better!
I'm sorry you feel that way. If you need anything specifically, call in & ask for Amy or Kyle. Both are more than willing to help you or you can email kyle at kyle@spemotorsport.com or Amy at amy@spediesel.com.
I have several parts for my 2019 6.7 F250. The parts from SPE are top notch quality, fit and finish. Their customer service is second to none; I ordered the wrong part for my model year and they helped me get setup with the right part I should have ordered. Chance in their customer service is prompt and accurate! I cannot recommend them enough and will plan on getting this part for my California truck that can maintain the emissions compliance.
Bad ass design you guys knocked it out of the park again. Always solid fabricated amercian made product. God bless. 🇺🇸💪🏼im still saving for the fuel filter relocation hahaha.
You guys are nuts about your shipping notifications. 😆. It's a good thing! I got notifications about order fulfillment, when it shipped when it was 'almost' here and of course when it arrived. And it was shipped fast. Definitely a customer service oriented company. A side note, I almost got duped into buying a knock off. I seen the Chinesium eBay ones but one day I came across a SPElab brand which I thought was the same. I definitely didn't want a inferior knock off. And knock offs are one thing, but to pose with nearly the same name is just dirty. Lucky I'm not an impulse buyer.
Ordered! Bought disaster kit 2.0 as well. Gonna DIY CCV recirculator. But the disaster kit intimidates me a little bit. Scared to get dirt in fuel lines.
I used the internal catch can and the old system, yes at times you have some smell but you are driving a diesel truck not sure what people thought would happen, I love the old system myself and couldn’t be happier with it.
I am interested in the CCV relocate kit for my 2018 F350 dually, my biggest concern is that it's stock right now as the EGR and the DPF haven't fallen off the truck yet, I hear it could happen any time. I would like to install this kit before I do any other fixes and currently don't have a custom tune in the truck. Just a standard SCT default tune for towing and performance etc. Do I need to put a tune in the truck to install the CCV reroute kit like you do for DPF and EGR deletes?
Absolutely killed it on this new ccv recirculating setup! Recently bought a 2017 F350 and have been trying to decide which route I want to go for a ccv setup and this is a winner! How many miles do you recommend going between cleanings on the mesh screen inside? What have you seen during testing?
The factory ccv filter has 100,000 mile maintenance intervals which I have done twice on my 2017 f350 which currently has 249,000 miles. I have a vehicle transportation company and run 70-80k miles a year. motorcraft filters on amazon range from $60-$100, prices vary throughout the year. both times filters were not plugged up, they seemed fine to me but I changed them anyway. Also I have to add I have a lot of idling time, as you can imagine. With that being said, 30,000 miles is not even a third to what a full test should be for the new box you have when you compare with factory. I can imagine that metal screen will let a lot more oil to pass through since it is not a filter. Idk just doesnt make any sense to me imo. Maybe I'm missing something.
I have the original with the internal catch. I'm happy with it but after 5 months noticed oil drops on driveway. Would the external catch eliminate that? An the smoke as a plus?
SPE Motorsport, so if new '24 SuperDuty F450 6.7 HO... better to go with your newest CCV Recirc modification or with Internal CCV & Catch Can? I'd probably go with Internal CCV with both CCV Recirc or Catch Can, which would be preferred route on new 6.7's that are currently New & Stock?
I doubt Dan will see this but if he does please make one of your intake adapters with a barb for the recirculating ccv so I can use it with a piping kit.
@@SPEMotorsport do you have any updates on this accessory for the piping kit? I want to do the same thing with rerouting my CCV gases into the piping kit. I have all SPE piping, CCV reroute, the whole 9 yards and want to stay in house with SPE products. Thanks.
Number one cause of oil leaks on the 6.7 short the ones that had the upper oil pan leak’s because the factory did not properly seal them is the ccv filter not being serviced properly! Once it gets full it causes pressure inside the motor and the oil will find weak points and start leaking! If you properly maintain the ccv it makes all the difference when it comes to oil leaks in the 6.7!
For all my 2017, 2018, 2020 Ford F-450 Limited I have used SPE Products and just love the durability and reliability of them! Now all that said looking at doing it again with my 2024 F-450 Limited which is finally being built in April 29th 2024 after I placed the order back in June 2023 which I am so excited! Now shopping for all aftermarket parts to slap on in a few months when it gets delivered! Focused on engine component upgrades first and SPE is one of the first to go in especially getting that CCV out! That is a pain to remove and install as that compartment is cramped. Now I hope SPE you have the hot/cold side intercooler hoses for the 2023-2024 F-Series models soon!
If I have the original kit without the internal catch can am I good if I just keep running that? I don’t mind the smell, just lets me know it’s still working🤷🏾♂️.
