    A company that listens to its customers! It makes me feel good about spending more money with them in the future. I'm rocking the Gen 1 kit and the crankcase delete kit with the cheese grater. 😆

    Just found video on Gen2. As others expressed, I felt S&S was a better solution but very glad to see your Ver2, your design explanation sway the decision back to SPE. All your products are top grade and well designed. SPE & Banks make great well designed products!
    You answered in Previous question, regarding 20 micron vs S&S 9 micron filtering. That all makes sense for heat & pressures… although I wasn’t clear on final outcome.
    If CP4 fails, my understanding is any debris back to tank becomes a whole replacement costly repair… doesn’t that indicate particles less than 20microns will pass and if so the Owner is essentially looking at full replacement of costly fuel system? Would an Owner just replace CP4 with CP4 (or DCR) with concern smaller debris passed and would take out new Pump?
    It’s a concerning and disturbing situation when it happens I’m sure… confidence of repair would be in question.
    I’m not wanting to replace a new 2024 6.7 HO with DCR, particularly while under warranty. Installed the FASS filtration system to help with water, air and contamination better than OEM and M&S Upper filter relocation to ease frequent filter changes all below and add little more filtration quality.
    I don’t clearly know the whole fuel route path , but does the extra filtration of the FASS filtration help with a possible CP4 grenade and your Ver2 installed? What small less than 20 micron that gets back to tank would be caught by the FASS filtration system with its extremely low 2 microns absolute filtration. Although your comment on heat & pressure carries over to FASS, or not with FASS being on the tank out side not the heated return?
    Let each system do their job, your system performs an important role, sounds like FASS would perform its role to assist in preventing future damage contamination after CP4 replacement.
    The 6.7 is a great powerhouse, the CP4 is it’s one omen.

      do it before the warranty is up. warranty will find any way possible to not pay for a failure if it does happen. their number 1 go to is you didnt change fuel filters often enough or drain the water separator often enough.

    • @Zukgod1
      @Zukgod1 4 місяці тому

      @@screamineaton I'll risk it. My records are impeccable, oil services, fuel filters etc, all fuel receipts are recorded as well. If anything I could get accused of replacing the filters too often. I have 16k on it and have done them twice already. I replace them every 7500 miles. I will be getting the disaster kit but not for a while.

      @@Zukgod1 they won't argue the records, what they'll get you on along with almost everyone else is contaminated fuel. Thats their goto with these CP4 failures. You could change your filters once a week...it doesn't matter.

    This is cool but I think the magic is really that you added the low pressure switch. 6 months ago I looked at your gen 1 DP kit and ended up going with the S&S gen 2.1 because it looked more straight forward with a bigger filter that was readily available. If I had to do it all over again I would have bought this kit. Since I already have a DP kit installed it would be nice to have an option to retrofit the kit that I already have installed with your wiring and pressure switch.

    Fuck yeah. I had your gen 1 on my 13. Got a 22 this year and was about to do an S&s kit. So glad to see this guys! Happy to continue my support on my new truck now that things have been updated. Really looking forward to order this. Also going to order the coolant reroute, and the CCV and internal catch I had on the last truck. Thank you for always innovating for us and listening to our feedback. Super excited to turn my fully stock 2022 into the protected, clean looking engine Bay your products created in the 2013 I had before I sold it

    Would you recommend this kit over the DCR pump S&S makes? I've got the S&S 2.1 DPK but this has me thinking about going with this kit and forgo the DCR.

    • @SPEMotorsport
      @SPEMotorsport  4 місяці тому

      They are two very different solutions. If you ever sell the truck it still has the original pump on it, thats a positive with the dpk. DCR is only available from one source if you have an issue with it (all mechanical parts can fail) , Not a Ford dealer some people don't like that.

    Did you say 20 micron or 2 micron

    • @SPEMotorsport
      @SPEMotorsport  4 місяці тому +1

      20 micron. This is designed to catch larger fragments and alarm via the sensor in the exo filter. This is a non consumable filter and acts more as a screen. Most of the cp4 debris is very large when they fail.

      So some particles could return back to the tank? Will there be a finer rated exofilter in the future? The s&s kit has a replaceable filter that is 9 micron; however, it is and additional cost for maintenance.

    • @SPEMotorsport
      @SPEMotorsport  4 місяці тому +1

      @@Bryan-hd9fs There are many issues with a low micron filter an the return side. We did a lot of testing Without going into extreme detail. Basically the filter becomes an added restriction on the side of the system that is already heat soaked when returning to the tank. Our testing of many different micron screen found minimal amount of restriction with 20 micron in a manor that wouldn't change the functionality of the factory system. This was proven when our competitor had a clear bottom filter that was melting on trucks that pushed them in to a steel filter and aluminum mounting head. Hence the extra heat build up. a lower micron steel filter band aids the issue. More heat makes fuel cooler / system work harder as well. Once again we only make it a safe guard that doesn't change the functionality of the vehicles other systems. Its easy to over engineer but doesn't always make it the best way to do it. Great question!
