The Ford Breather you took out is the updated one. It didn't have a replaceable filter. Biggest cause of oil leaks is high crankcase pressure too which is another benefit of installing this. Great video , Suscribed
You may consider putting a screen cap on the end of the vapor discharge hose to prevent wasps and insects from entering the hose and setting up house. I suppose if you drive that Ford every day, this may not be a problem. Just something to consider.
I know you want to support your sponsor, but for the po foke like me, can i just disconnect the hose, extend it to a catch can or similar and cap off the entrance hole?
If you were in a bind I’m sure you can make something work but for $199 if you can afford a powerstroke you can definitely swing one of those! Just in my opinion
WARNING: Please make sure when you install your hose, you ensure theres no "U" shapes in your hose routing... If you have a low pount, over time oil vapor will build up and cause oil to actially pool up inside the hose and block the flow (Even with the internal catch can!), witch can lead to MAJOR engine probelm/damage.... The line in this video is VERY close to coming down from the engine, and then it almost loops back upwards when you used the second zip-tie.... Be careful guys!
Do you run an oil accumulator for starting? A fine Mechanic in Utah is telling us the oil pump has to deliver 2qts of oil to the system before pressure builds. I have 3 customers wanting them. So I had them order 3qt accumulators to alleviate the oil starvation on startup. When they come in I will install them. $300 insurance.

By doing so you are not allowing crank case pressure to be released as intended. How is the SPE fuel filter kit treating you? I just installed it on my 22’ and it was a bitch. For whatever reason, the fittings on the housing did not want to slide into the stock fuel lines. We have to file the edges for the lines to slide in and lock. Another problem was the “push lock” lines came apart on their on and truck went into reduced power and threw a check engine light for low fuel pressure. Line had popped off the barbed end of the fitting. Put some clamps on it and was good to go.
You have a long bed or short bed? I’ve got over 1000 miles on my setup and haven’t had a single issue. The lines were a tight fit getting on the housing but i didn’t have to file anything. What did you file? And haven’t had a push to connect fitting come off either
@@PowerstrokeRick I got a long bed. The black fittings on the billet spe housing. The tips had to be filed a bit cause the stock fuel lines just wouldn’t slide in fully.
