If I didn’t comment back to you it’s bc UA-cam has for some reason flagged your comment and won’t let me. I try to reply to everyone of my supporters. Thanks y’all!
You did I got it! UA-cam very strict these days!
Best detailed video I've seen. I wish you had a video for all that I do. Thanks
Thanks man!
Ive learned a hard lesson. Many times. Not to yank stuff out of the way. The rougher you are with stuff the more problems you will run into
That can be true
Best video I’ve seen on this just got my 2011 f 350 great job boss man
Thanks buddy!
Driving a 2019 F350! Absolutely love it!!!
Awesome!
Thank you sir! I’ve got a kit but was just unsure for the longest time about the sensor on mine, I have a 15
You’re welcome
Good video got mine done in no time fixed my oil leak issue to!
Man that’s awesome
I'm just doing mime I also have a older 2013 F-450 4wd Mines a true cab/chassis I'm surprised u don't have the S&S disaster kit on your or SPE that's why I'm doing mine because I just spent 7000.00 so far at just over 100,845 miles my cp4 took a shit
Nice Truck 👍
Dam man sorry for that bad luck that really sucks. I had no issues out of this one and sold it a few months later (I’m a dealer) I definitely enjoyed this one while I had it though.
You and me both with the dirty drive way! I drive a FORD diesel and a Chevy gasser 🤣
😂
Not bad. I’d also suggest NOT using the exhaust bung option you spoke about. Depending on where that’s put in, probably upstream, you’ll probably end up fouling up EGT and PM sensors and tripping DTC’s and requiring new sensors more often than otherwise. SPE makes an internal catch can that goes in under where the hose attaches on the head that can limit the smoke/vapor you get. That’s probably the one I’m going to put on my 15’ F2FIDDY. Like the fuel line tip and you can use a pick and disconnect your charge pipe at the top and get that ccv hose connection off completely and then the clamp that comes with the kit would fit.
All great tips and advice for others thanks. I sold this truck almost a year ago now
@@ThePaintPaperHustle ahhhh ok, why did you sell her?
To pay off some debt. Got 30k cash
@@ThePaintPaperHustle yeah that’ll do it
This is actually so helpful. Thank you lol
You’re very welcome
Big Help on doing this.
That’s so good to hear as that’s what this whole channels about is helping. Thanks for watching.
I have a 2012 F250, 6.7, deleted, S&S CP4 conversion and FASS filter. This will be next.
💪🏻
Got the F-25 think that’s why it flys. Lol
😂 ✈️
Good looking 450, need to to do this to my 250
Thanks buddy and definitely do it it’ll help save your turbo
Would love to see a video on a full dpf/def/egr delete
Unfortunately this trucks long gone and my current one we rebuilt in this channel was already deleted.
I had that kit I swapped my out with the old EGR cross over tube I cut
Good idea!
I know this is 2 years old, but I have a question if you dont mind. I was watching alot of EGR videos and concluded its the CCV thats the main reason for clogs. The EGR actually helps with cooling but the wet introduced from the CCV causes all the build up. Will this (CCV delete) hurt the engine in any way? I have a little 4cyl Bi Turbo Ford engine in my Everest. I added a provent catch can and that helped alot but it does not catch everything.
I see no reason and have never heard anything bad from deleting the CCV only good
@@ThePaintPaperHustle Thank you for coming back to this and answering, I appreciate.
@alexwolf8019 you’re welcome thanks for watching
Tonight’s video is actually on another f450 just like this one.
Should’ve add one of the internal catch can eliminates any oil or most of it and I’m gonna put a external catch can to catch that oil because I don’t want to oil mess underneath
Very good idea.
Do you have a link for an external catch can? My google does like how i search and just gives me the SPE internal catch can kit for most of the results.
@@wmiel2011 I need to email you the one I got send me your email
Thanks for the tips. I have a 17 F-450
Glad to help
I tow with a 2011 and 2016-F-350's
Both awesome trucks!
Thanks for the help. I have a 17 450
That's awesome that I could help that's all I wanted to do. Thanks for watching!
Nice video bud!
Thanks
Your box looks closed which would mean it's not serviceable, or did i miss that? That would mean you don't have to delete it?
So this video is alittle old and I don’t remember. However I simply didn’t want unneeded parts and clutter under the hood so I removed it. Also it was definitely putting oilly air all in the intake and turbo so it’s better with out it. About to do the same thing to the f450 we just got on the channel
So what’s it help out in the long run? Has to be tuned?
No tuning needed. It makes it so your turbo isn’t sucking in dirty oily air which can cause build up inside everything over time
Why couldn't you run a longer hose to the rear of the truck to avoid the smoke coming up from the middle of the truck?
You could. You can also weld in a bung to the exhaust that the hose will hook to so the smoke goes in exhaust and helps burn it off and make it not as noticeable
thanks dude appreciate it
You’re welcome
Did you ever get an engine code from removing the ccv? I just did this on a 2016 f250 and I can’t seem to get the engine code to go away.
No I did not.
I prefer a 6.0. Cheaper to maintain. Parts are cheaper. Easier to work on.
Love the sound of them
If you delete your ccv will it still pass inspection? Just curious if they will give a hard time at the dmv.!
Here the DMV has nothing to do with our inspections. All we have is a normal emission inspection and they don’t check that stuff or care on diesels as it’s a safety only inspection.
2011 F350
You’ll love that truck!
I clicked the eBay link and the product isn’t there. Can you list the kit name? Maybe provide a different link. By The Way great video. Very helpful.
It didn’t have a name brand it was just the cheapest non name brand one listed on eBay at that time. Any kit will work that you find on there for a good price
2020 F250 platty 6.7
🫡
It hard on the turbo seals
Good point
Donde lo puedo comprar tengo una súper duty 2011 turbo diésel 6.7
👊🏻
i drive a 2014 f 250 ruby red platinum i ordered a ccv reroute kit from spe still waiting on kit to arrive its only been 1 month... anyways what lights do you have on the 450 ? those are really cool . looking for a nice set like those for mine..
I sold the truck and don’t remember the name honestly. They were some I found on eBay though
23 f550 lariet
That’s awesome!
I’ve got a 15 platinum. I’m thinking of doing this but have the internal catch can. But I also heard this is bad for seals. Not sure what I wanna do yet
Idk about the seals but if it was my truck I’d definitely be doing it after what I’ve seen not doing it does to the inside of everything that that mess goes through
Why not just disconnect the ccv hose from the turbo, plug the turbo and extend the factory hose to the frame?
I’m guessing you can do that with no issue. One major advantage in my eyes is getting rid of the box to free up alittle space making things easier to work on in the future
My hose snapped in the middle two days ago and truck still runs fine. I really don’t want to go through the hassle of replacing the entire box. I kinda just want to leave it as it is
I understand
@@RUSSIA85901 One thing to think about is the suction from the turbo helping pull the fumes through possible restrictions in the ccv box. There are two kinds of ccv boxes, one with a serviceable filter and one that is not serviceable. The one with the filter in it probably needs the assistance from the turbo to vent the fumes without creating excessive crank case pressures.
I’ve done this kit few months ago it tend to drip a little oil is that normal?
Yes mine have always dripped some oil. That’s why we do it so that mess isn’t going into our turbo. Crazy that that much goes through there
That’s true I forgot about that thx 🙏🏼
You’re very welcome
No-one mentions the hall effect sensor. What do you do with it? Unplugged?
I’m not sure which sensor that is with out looking into it but nothing that I remember was left unplugged or had to be plugged back in on the ccv delete
Cool. I think it's only on the older ones. I have the 2015 platinum. Its the sensor that reads if this system is disconnected.
@@nkbel9206 ahhh Gottcha that’s interesting and sucks in a way
By leaving the end on and plugging it, this will leave the Hall effect sensor in place. The sensor is on the end of the tube going into the turbo.
My 14 F450 had the sensor on the tube going into the turbo. Disconnected the tube from the fitting, capped the fitting, reconnected the sensor and clipped the fitting back on,
I pull my car with my 2015 F350 with no problem! I don’t have a race car yet but I’m trying 🤣🤣 6 kids are expensive so I run the hell out my 67 🤫🤫
😂 awesome
@@ThePaintPaperHustle still watching video though. About to do it this weekend. I knows that dick head bolt was easier then I’ve seen! Great video man!
Thanks buddy
What ccv kit is this?
No name brand just the cheapest I could find on eBay at that time
Does this eliminate the white smoke ?
You shouldn’t have white smoke I don’t think. I’m no diesel expert but I didn’t have any white smoke
@@ThePaintPaperHustle i have some ocassional white smoke from my exhaust, but without codes or anything
Interesting. This may help. It’s a good mod anyways and very cheap.
@@ThePaintPaperHustle will try
Let me know if it helps
Do you have to tune it?
You don’t.
