This is lovely. Fan stitch is my fav. I like that the fans are snug together. I also love the way you start the border, it's snug yet you don't lose the fan shapes. Thank you so much!!!
In my opinion, your crochet is one of the best I have found. No matter the pattern, it always looks elegant. I love how you do your tutorials by stopping and showing the work you just did. Thanks for making it so easy!!
I'm going to this pattern. You always have lovely patterns and great tutorials. I'm working this Iris Pattern now. I have a very neutral color caron simply soft that would look great with this. Thank you for sharing your patterns with us.
That's the beauty about Video's like this, it gives you the confidence and inspiration to try out new ideas of your own, using this video as a guildline on how to do it. Yes I'm going to try this one out as well, but as a granny square for a little project i'm working on.
I love all these vintage patterns, thank you. I Will definitely be doing this. I also have started doing this stitch at the beginning of rows instead of chains & it looks so much better.
I just happened to have 5 balls of the Cygnet baby yarn sat around and was waiting until the perfect blanket came along 😅😅...thanks so much for this tutorial Rebekah!
Thank you for this gorgeous pattern. I’m not very experienced in crochet but I did a sampler and I love the pattern. I’m planning to make it into a baby blanket. Thanks again.
Dissapointed no response to my question re sc foundationless starting row. Anyway. Ended up with heaps more stitches than started when doing the evening up last row before border. What have I done wrong?
I’m really struggling to see where you’re putting the hook into the stitch where you do the five trebles! I love the pattern but find it difficult to follow.
Jackie, I recommend that you watch her "Vintage Crochet V-Stitch Border" video, where white yarn is used for the border. Slow down the speed of the video to watch carefully and understand.
If you look at the top of the video, you will see a cog type wheel. You can slow the video down really slow. Hope this helps It’s called “ play back speed” If you press it , you can select a speed that suits your needs
Clear border instructions tx. But confused as seems once i start V round I will be working with wrong side facing. Will the final round be wrong side facing also? If so, will my stitches look ok
Hello again. I forgot to ask you if you think this would look just as beautiful with 2 colors or even 3. Also which row should I change colors. TIA ♥️✌️
What is the dusky pink yarn that you are using in your tutorial? The blanket is beautiful and I’d like to make it in that pretty yarn you’re using. Thank you so much for sharing 😊
Hi! I was looking thru your projects and this one is perfect. But I’d like to make this one for a house warming gift. So more for a sofa and that would make it thicker. Do you have any tips on the size, color and type of yarn. 3-4. Weighted and should I use the hook size on the yarn. I usually go up one hook size for the chain as I tend to make my tension to tight. Thanks! 🥰
Thank you for this beautiful blanket. I have just received my yarn of 5 balls. Can you advise how much I should save for boarder. Many thanks for your many tutorials.
Love this. The wool brand recommends 4mm. I understand you saying go up half or one size hook but in the video you use 5.5mm. Is this the best size to use? Pretty new to crochet so any help much appreciated. Thanks
I have to make this its stunning very easy to follow but I'm not sure how your instructing us to do the end of first row instead of the usual chain 1,2,3 and turn Thank you for any help, Angela🙏🏾
How many rows did you complete for your blanket? I’ve bought the recommended yarn and followed your tutorial but I must have missed the row count. Grateful for your help. 😀
@@BlossomCrochet thank you so much I have recently purchased numerous amounts of wool for several of your tutorials all just beautiful but the pink caught my eye too. Keep doing what your doing you have helped keep me sane this past 12 months xxx
The last row doesn't have the same number of stitches as the foundation row. Since you make total 7 stitches(V 2 stitches + 5 for the fan which will make multiple of 7 per set n foundation is multiple of 6 Therefore the border has different number of Vs on the top row n foundation row(bottom)
I’ve almost finished this blanket and it’s just beautiful!!! Easy to do and the border just finishes it off elegantly! Thank you.
I’m so glad that you’re happy with it ♥️
This is lovely. Fan stitch is my fav. I like that the fans are snug together. I also love the way you start the border, it's snug yet you don't lose the fan shapes. Thank you so much!!!
Simple yet elegant and beautiful!
Thank you for going slowly and explaining things clearly.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful blanket tutorial. It is a lot of hard work, however for that special baby, it would be worth it.

I just finished this blanket. It was so easy and worked really fast. It's one of my favorites. Thank you so much.
I found it complex re stitch count. Did something wrong but will have to frog the whole thing

Seriously beautiful and I love the one block colour!!! Definitely a must do!!!

It’s just in between the two trebles below, the space between them, not in a stitch. Hope this helps.
I agree! Looking for a more helpful tutorial
If you look at the top of the video, you will see a cog type wheel. You can slow the video down really slow. Hope this helps

Love this blanket it’s beautiful 💖just wondering if you could chain 2 or 3 then turn and end of rows instead?
Thankyou so much. Beautiful. X
Glad you enjoyed it!
Can i use a single crochet foundation chain as i am hopeless at making neat chain
In row 2.. are you going through the back loop of the fans 3rd stitch? It looks like it so I just wanted to make sure. Sorry for so many questions 🤦♥️
Thank you for this beautiful blanket. I have just received my yarn of 5 balls. Can you advise how much I should save for boarder. Many thanks for your many tutorials.
I am making this blanket for baby bereavement boxes. Please could you tell me how many inches/cm the border adds onto the blanket?
Thank you!
Love this. The wool brand recommends 4mm. I understand you saying go up half or one size hook but in the video you use 5.5mm. Is this the best size to use? Pretty new to crochet so any help much appreciated. Thanks
I would suggest doing your foundation chain in a 5mm and see how you go, and switch to a 4.5mm for the rest of your blanket. :)
@@BlossomCrochet many thanks

Can you use dk yarn
I have to make this its stunning very easy to follow but I'm not sure how your instructing us to do the end of first row instead of the usual chain 1,2,3 and turn

I’m finding this a bit tricky too

is there a written pattern?? I love to use both that way I make notes and never lose my place. Love this blanket and your videos, thank you
Lovely! Thx!! 😁💕💕
I'm glad you like it!
Lovely blanket what is the yarn/colour your using for the tutorial thanks 😊
The yarn I use for the demo is Caron Simply Soft in shade Victorian Rose :)
How many rows did you do
I noticed you using Clover soft touch hook.Did you like working with same.
I love all of the Clover hooks - this particular set used to belong to my grandmother that taught me to crochet 🥰
Would be nice to have American stitch terms on the screen for us folks based in the US ❤
Another brilliant tutorial as always what yarn did you use for your sample piece please Rebekah? Xx
Hi Karen, I used Caron Simply Soft in shade Victorian Rose. :)

So lovely! What is the gorgeous rose color yarn you are using in the tutorial?
Hi Deborah, I was using Caron Simply Soft in Victorian Rose 🌹
I’m in the states and get confused with the trebles 😫 that are actually doubled or are they trebles lol
She is doing a double crochet. It’s just that that stitch is called a treble in uk terminology.

I did this cream in dk but you can use absolutely any yarn you wish 🥰🌸
