You'll definitely get it. Don't feel bad if you have to go back to repeat the second row. She makes the directions very easy. When I forstarted, I was very ambitious and tried many patterns. I almost gave up. Then I found this pattern and I thought I would just look at the video. After I saw just the first couple of minutes, I was "encouraged". I now make these all the time. It's one of my favorite blankets!
You can do it, I know you can! Just follow the directions one part at a time! Wait until the next day or so and watch the next part of the video, if you can't remember it , watch again, or
write out this next part of the instructions! I have found that most all of my mistakes have happened when I continued after I was tired. Just do it step by step, just 1 at a time like she shows , and I just know that it will turn out beautifully!!!

I have crocheted for years and this is the first and best instruction I’ve ever seen on how to finish all the edges on a finished project. The pattern is similar to one I’ve made many times and just left the side edges as is. This method of finishing all the edges gives the project a completed look. Thank you.
The sides (edges at the ends of the rows) are what always give me the most trouble. I love that she has a system instead of just "crochet evenly."

I love this stitch. It's perfect for a baby blanket. I know I have said this before but I really enjoy your vlogs and tutorials. I tried to follow a pattern for a simple crocheted Christmas star. The pattern was so sketchy. It left out steps. I have been rereading patterns I collected years (1980's) ago. I know why I didn't develop as a hooker because the patterns weren't detailed. As I make my circles into squares (yes, I am still doing that), I hear you say, "Wrap your yarn and take off two." HA! You have also helped me to understand design. Okay..you literally are a God send! Yesterday, I started crocheting a pattern I watched on UA-cam several times. It was quite complicated, but I was determined. It's a gorgeous pattern, but, have you ever been making a blanket, and felt like there were too many steps that were "unnecessary"? I am a total beginner, but, when I saw this video, it was easy, simple, you explain it perfectly, and you don't complicate anything. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

How do you end up with 3 left? The foundation is a multiple of 5 plus 4, then you skip every four, so you're working in every fifth chain, that would make five at the end and you would be working in the last chain.
Did she ever answer this? Or did u get an answer?
She says chain four at end of multiple of five. Watch end of her chain.
At the beginning she says to do multiples of 5 on the first chain you make to determine how big want it then add three at the end of the chain that’s where it is

I’ve always imagined that this would be really difficult to do but after watching your video in which you explain the pattern so that even a new crocheter can easily understand I’ve realised it will be possible even for my capabilities.lol Thank you for explaining in such a simple way also for taking us through the finishing border which is sadly missing in lots of other videos, leaving learners like me not knowing what to do next.
