Mr. Mikey you are AMAZING and a trouper for spending your day figuring out how to do all these sizes! I for one deeply appreciate all your effort. THANK YOU! Beautiful pattern and will save to my library for future throw to make for my adult daughter!
This was very easy for me to follow: I have chosen to change colors each round, and you are correct: placement of the next row of stitches is important when changing colors. This is my current project I am working on for a co-worker.
Thank you for sharing these patterns. This is my first attempt at an intermediate pattern. It is going well. I am so proud of myself. ❣️🎉🎊👍🧶🤩 Thanks again for making it fun to watch and learn.
It may not be rocket science but it does take a lot of calculations and decision making to make these crochet creations. You do a great and I thank you.
Awesome .. thank you soooooo much 🌹🌹🌹 .. i died searching how to do different sizes of shell stich rectangle .. wish u delightful and gorgeous crocheting 😍😍😍
Lovely pattern; thank you very much. If you don't mind a friendly critique, putting "baby" in the description would be helpful for many people. I searched UA-cam all over for this exact pattern and this video never came up. Finally I adapted a twin-size pattern, but I certainly wish I'd been able to find this one. I looked up every search term I could think of, but "child-size" never occurred to me. 😅 Just a thought. Thanks again for the great pattern!
Mikey I love all of your tutorials but your crochet alongs are my favorite. Im still a newbie but I've done 2 of them and they turned out great (thanks for the tips, so I don't have to frog so much). More crochet alongs would definitely tickle my fancy 😂
The wheelchair size is just what I looking for. It looks easy enough to make up for some residents at local senior care home. Question would you happen to have a wrap/shawl pattern for people in wheelchairs?
You are such a creative man! And very generous to share that gift with us! So thankful for that snowstorm and how you decided to spend it! I made the square version of this as a wedding gift last year. It was gorgeous! Problem was, I wanted afghan size - so I ended up making it the size of the top of a queen bed with a little drape for the length! They love it, use it all the time and proudly display it! I wished I'd worked at figuring out the conversion. Honest - I never could have done it! My question for you - would the smallest version be best for a standardish afghan? Thank you again for being you!
The pattern testers I had disagreed with the pattern. I had 3 people say three different things which i don't know which one is accurate. I have not posted it. It's the first time this has happened where the testers disagree with each other. So you cannot find it as I won't post it to avoid confusion. I'm not confident it's right.
Hi Mikey! First, I just wanted to say “Thank You!” for ALL your videos! I have learned SO MUCH from you! Second, May I ask how much yarn (yds/m) does this size blanket take? Thank you so much! You are truly a blessing!
Great video. Instead of cutting the yarn at the end of round 4 (20:21 in the video), could I put a V-stitch into the valley between the two fans, ch 5, and then put the V-stitch, c3, V-stitch for the corner? BTW, I did the square version of this blanket from one of your earlier video.s It turned out great all thanks to your super instruction. Thank you for sharing the rectangular variant of this blanket. :)
@TheCrochetCrowd, idk if you will see this, but im trying to start.. i just want to point out that i tried the 23 for foundation and it was too many. i downsized to 20 ch foundation and it works perfectly. not sure why it worked differently for me?? but thought i should let you know
its ok. i dont have a problem keeping you in the know. its your pattern lol. ive had no trouble at all since making that modification.@@TheCrochetCrowd
Mikey, can you please post a stitch diagram of the samples on your website showing the spine & 2 repeating rows so users don’t have to keep referring back to the video? Thanks!
I got your message last night. I just upgraded the article to provide the stitching diagram of the foundation. You can find it here: thecrochetcrowd.com/interlocking-shells-blankets-all-sizes/
Very nice pattern! In the past I crocheted a square one and decided to create a rectangular one ( using a yarn 100gr/ 330mt and 2,75 mm crochet hook) and is turning out very wavy. At the moment is 130 cm in lenght and 90 cm in width. What am I doing wrong??? What can I do to fix it? Unfortunately restarting is out of question, I've done more than 30 rounds to achieve this size and I need to reach 200/140 cm. Thank you!
I would like a written pattern. Where can I purchase one? I’m older and do better if I can reread pattern. This is my 70+ year of crocheting. Thank you.
Mikey, can you please verify the yarn color name....I went searching to Caron ombre Lake mist and no one seems to have it. Was it discontinued or renamed?
You said small is for a twin size and then as you start you said twin is the large one!! ????? I'm going to go for the one that looks like a miniature of what I want the finished product to look like. No! This is too confusing if you don't have the instructions on the size I want.
Generally speaking yes, sometimes the symbols are different but as long as you know that the symbol is, you can try it. Just google the symbols if you need clarification.

@@TheCrochetCrowd Don't worry, I'm definitely going to do this. It's absolutely gorgeous. X

For 30inch length and 4 inch height pattern how much chains need to crochet

Nice pattern but.. want to know what size hook you used.
Mikey, can you please post a stitch diagram of the samples on your website showing the spine & 2 repeating rows so users don’t have to keep referring back to the video? Thanks!

I love this pattern but I need a link for the printable pattern and it doesn’t load one for me on the site
He hasn’t written a pattern for these, he only has the videos available.

I think hook might be too small
So every 2 rows are we to cut and start in the corner? Just trying to clarify. Thank you
Yes please.
Where do u buy your tapestry needle
Craft store. The pointed version is a leather needle.
I would like a written pattern. Where can I purchase one? I’m older and do better if I can reread pattern. This is my 70+ year of crocheting. Thank you.
Do have instructions for the small size?
Just the video for now. I need to have it rested in the written words once again before I put it back out.
Using crochet thread, a person could make a page marker or a small doll blanket out of this stitch :)
Yes, that's true.
While it isn't rocket science , it may as well be without your tutorial 😉
My pleasure.
Mikey, can you please verify the yarn color name....I went searching to Caron ombre Lake mist and no one seems to have it. Was it discontinued or renamed?
It's brand new. I don't think it's listed online yet.
You’re smart enough to do the math. Please stop insulting yourself.
Honestly, I'm not a smart person. I am flawed.
Do you sell the wheelchair lap blanket?
No. we don't sell any samples but our videos are free so you can make your own.
I’m kinda confused one end is chain 3 for the turn and the opposite side is chain 5😵💫 I’ve watch a number of times at I missing something
I'm really sorry for the confusion.
You said small is for a twin size and then as you start you said twin is the large one!! ?????
I'm going to go for the one that looks like a miniature of what I want the finished product to look like.
No! This is too confusing if you don't have the instructions on the size I want.
Another UA-cam Host may be better for you to follow. I'm sorry. I read your other comment as well.
Question: are patterns universal. I found some diagram patterns on Pinterest but the page is not English
Generally speaking yes, sometimes the symbols are different but as long as you know that the symbol is, you can try it. Just google the symbols if you need clarification.
