What you just heard Skotty was the greatest rock song ever recorded. You 'got it' because it's that freakin' good, you can't explain in words why you got it or even what you got but you instinctively know you got it.
No one can assert that this is the greatest rock song ever as there were so many great ones. People can only have a personal opinion. I lived through that whole period and know them all.
@@robertm7071oddly though, this song has been listed as the number one song for decades. The 4th of July weekend countdown of top 400 songs for 2024, this was number one once again. Yes it’s fallen to number two a couple of times, but has been number one on countdowns of 100 to 500. Hell Led Zeppelin has other songs that are better, but this is a big favorite even by those who don’t know any others by them.
Baby boy, I love you. But when u say u want to see if the music is up to par, you forget that in our day musicians wrote, played, and sang. It’s todays musicians that aren’t up to par! 😂😂♥️♥️
You made perfect sense, dude. Same way I did 50 years ago listening to this... a half century 🙄 ago ...(and it was my 65th birthday yesterday, official senior citizen) ... We didn't have videos back then but we had the music ... Rock on! 🤗
I graduated in '76, and we were smoking at this time to these bands. Rush 2112, Pink Floyd "Wish you were here" album, many more were an experience, not just a song
Greatest rock band of all time, Robert Plant lead singer, Jimmy Page lead guitarist, John Paul Jones on bass and keyboard, John "Bonzo"Bonham on drums all considered the best In their field 😊
I agree 100%! Saw LZ in 74, Page & Plant in 94, Robert Plant in 2009 and Robert Plant with Allison Krauss in July 2023. He still has it! RIP John Bonham.
Don't worry mate...i smoked enough for both of us. This is my favourite band. Every member was a musical genius and their variety was just gold. As for the meaning of the song, forget the music clip, its simply about hope.
Greetings from Canada- where the smoking part IS legal. When you do smoke up, do it to the live version of this from MSG, NYC, 1973. But have queued up the next one, a Blues Rock killer- from the same concert, 'Since I've Been Loving You' Live MSG, NYC, 1973. Some of us KNOW. Peace, love and bellbottoms.
zeppelin is very hard to explain. they take you on a journey that is almost impossible to describe. you feel in in your soul. they blessed us with something really beautiful.
Man, I’ve never seen this video version. Trippy for sure. There are a lot of references to “Lord of the Rings”. Nothing this band does isn’t absolutely brilliant. Glad to watch you watch it.
Yes the music is up to par, it exceeds par. This band was one of the few that were the major influences of the bands that followed them. Everybody respected and loved Led Zeppelin. Outstanding musicians and incredible vocals. Thank you for reacting to this great song.
glad you are taking this journey . You will grow and never be the same .two recommendations first get some headphones it is better with them and try to watch the live version from 1973 .Enjoy the journey your now one of us.
Dude, I like your insights. The greatness in this band lies in their ability to take their listeners on an epic journey. Listen also to When the Levee Breaks, In the Light, Kashmir and Achilles Last Stand. True artists.
It's the GOATS!! Every song from these guys are gold bro. They had 8 incredible albums over 11 years. Rock on!!¡ but it's much better with headphones just an fyi.
You need to revisit and indulge on this one. BUT YOU REALLY NEED TO INDULGE AND CATCH A RIDES-GROOVE on WHEN THE LEVEE BREAks - album closer. Big indulge strongly suggested - life changing! Zep’s most powerful drum groove ever. You’re very welcome!!! And surely will not be disappointed. The time shift to HEAVY is brilliant.
Feel the drums… When the Levee Breaks is where it’s at. Then Good Times/Bad Times. Zep are still greatest rock band of all time. Don’t skip Dazed & Confused album version and live version of Since I’ve Been Loving You live @ MSG. Saw Page/Plant live in 90’s and by far greatest concert I’ve been to. I’ve been front row Metallica
he album produced Led Zeppelin's highest-charting single, "Whole Lotta Love", which peaked at several music charts in the top 10. Led Zeppelin III (1970) was a softer, more folk-based effort compared to the hard rock of the band's previous releases. It also peaked at number one in the UK and in the US.
Anything you’d listen to by them is great, my favorite live is Since I’ve Been Loving You, live at Madison Square Gardens (1973). Pure passion of the Blues, they can rock out great too, they do different genres. I could recommend so many songs, there’s a couple that might not be a favorite, but certainly not a bad song. It’s harder picking a favorite among so many, please continue your Led Zeppelin journey, you won’t be sorry. I look forward to more of your Led Zeppelin reactions. This song is for each of us to interpret ourselves, so what you feel isn’t wrong. A great rock instrumental is Achilles Last Stand, each of the 4 GOATS are highlighted. Please enjoy so much more.
The MSG live performance of Stairway to Heaven is great in its own right. The original version, the Madison Square Garden live version and Heart's live version at the Kennedy Center Honors are all great, unique and stand alone in their own right. And yes, the 34 minute version of Dazed and Confused also shows off Jimmy Page's and LZ's true talent.
Robert Plant(Lead Singer) is so awesome, a Dove landed in his hand while on stage... Yes, you should be baked off your ###. I'd dare deem him the Rock God of Poetry. Hear the words, ponder on them. You'll love it more, for it's meanings. Honestly man... Your generation has been robbed, of the last great outcry of the human spirit. Enriching your soul and perception. Before the era of 'auto-tune', we bore witness to the greatest of talent.
Hi Scotty, I'm 73 y.o.a. as a young man I never considered drugs ,just a natural high . Pink Floyd Darkside of the moon, no drugs just relax and listen. 27 y.o.a. I did try Mary Jane.
Oh wow, I just commented on another video that you don’t listen to Led Zeppelin, you experience it. And I’ll be darned, you figured that out on your own a lil way in. When you said you just going to close your eyes and take it in, that’s exactly what to do. 👍🏼😎
I don't know if you've really listened to anything by Led Zeppelin other than stairway to heaven which is a wonderful song. Need to play The Band Heart do their version of Stairway To Heaven cause after hearing it you'll realize it's gotta be a very hard song to do. But I also recommend Kashmir by Led Zeppelin that is my absolute favourite that they do. 🎉😊
That's a beautiful insight. I've only listened to this song for 50 years and never occured to me. Now it seems obvious. The song itself is a stairway... Thank you!
Yeah the stairway to heaven is a metaphor for the ascension through life to death...The song starts off slow picks up then dies off just like birth-peak-death
When you watch your songs try to watch the live versions because they are great...I'm just saying..I'm not trying to be a hater or anything..Because the live version of this song is great...Hahahahahahahah...Just watching the video is making me feel stoned and I have had nothing....It's great seeing all the young ones enjoying our music we grew up on...The music was THE BEST TIME....
I guarantee you if you listen to this song another 2 or 3 times he would really appreciate it sometimes hearing it for the first time you don’t get it all but please come back after you listen to it a few more times and give us another Impression
How many songs popular today you don’t just know who the lead singer is but who is playing the drums and guitar. If someone is replaced it changes the music. There is just something off regardless of how well they play.
Broh ya know how ya get in with sone close people and just cruise and hot box the car and just blast rap.....this was our rap. Otherwise the song remains the same!!!
I just discovered you. I only wish you would have clicked on just the audio of this masterpiece instead of this fan made, psychedelic video. This video is nothing. All it did was distract you from the song, and the song is one of the greatest musical achievements in human history. For future reference, I would stick with Led Zeppelins official audio tracks, and also, hold off on live Led Zeppelin until you've heard the studio recordings first. Peace
I think it's the fact that you've only been out of high school for four years, that makes you want to smoke something, because it's not the song. Also, I don't know what visuals you're looking at, but they have nothing to do with it. And I apologize, but if you got chills, and felt trippy, when you said you did, then you've never heard real music, and you have a long way to go.
The musicians long ago could sing and play instruments now they all need help because most can't sing they just pretend and most of the listeners believe them if all the auto went off you would all get a shock
Ok, it looks like to me you are interpreting the song along with the visual graphics which are brand new AI generated very recently, when the song itself is over fifty years old being released in Novemeber 1971. So, there was no AI, no internet to put graphics to in those days. There was not even a MTV that combined video images with songs back in those days when this song came out. I, being 62 years old, remember when this song hit the charts and I, being 10 years old at the time remember when my older brother bought the Led Zeppelin IV album that had Stairway to Heaven on it. You pretty much had to use your own imagination with no visuals to try to interpret songs in those days. Besides, there are so many visuals for this song out there that you can't possibly use visuals to intrerpret a song that came out long before there was an internet.
No one can assert that this is the greatest rock song ever as there were so many great ones. People can only have a personal opinion. I lived through that whole period and know them all.
It's essentially a song about a gold digger, and how money won't buy you happiness or won't "get you into heaven". If you read the lyrics you will see that they are quite cleverly written.
Hey Guys, I was Able to read all the comments and I just want to say thank you for watching and supporting the channel and my love for classic Hits!
What you just heard Skotty was the greatest rock song ever recorded. You 'got it' because it's that freakin' good, you can't explain in words why you got it or even what you got but you instinctively know you got it.

It’s your own personal journey, we tripped out in the 70’s when this album dropped 😎
This song and the Queen song Bohemian Rhapsody are perhaps my favorite most beautiful songs ever. Before Disco and all of that.
Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven. Live version from Madison Square Garden in New York City in 1973.
Definitely need head phones for this song ❤
what an amazing journey...love brings higher for sure...hugs from France
The number one song of all time by the greatest band of all time…period. Checks every box.

Man you only get a chance to hear these songs for the first time once. You are missing out so much without headphones
The music builds a stairway with sound. I got you
You need to see this live❤❤❤❤ you are going to love this Rabbit hole
Thank you for your reaction…I was a little younger than you when I first heard the song 50 years ago. It still holds its magic

The drummer... this drummer... there is nobody who ever live on Earth like this drummer... John Bonham. Search dude. OMG. That guy!
When you said you just got goosebumps in the beginning of the video I had to laugh knowing what was coming up!
I saw Led Zeppelin in 1974 in an "altered state". I haven't seen a better concert since, and I've seen close to 100!
You remind me of my son listening to Led Zeppelin. But he’s only 14. You have an old soul my friend! Keep enjoying the ride!
The GOATS....OF ALL TIME! 😎🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

One of the greatest bands to come out of the UK.
Everybody here understands what you’re feeling listening to John Bonham. He’s the reason I listen to a lot of Zeppelin. It’s the groove.
Warch the liver version done by HEART in front of Led Zeppelin and OBAMA. Will bring tears to your eyes- its that good.
Saw this exact colorful video on shrooms, it was amazing. I felt the music pulsing in my body
You need to react to the live version.
Hope you give Zep a chance go down the rabbit hole with group please you will not be disappointed I promise

The Mighty Led Zeppelin.....
The greatest band ever Led Zeppelin
My favorite band since 1969❤❤

You're whole life is a stairway to heaven
I'm 70 years old. I just fired up a bowl of some freshly ground medicine. If it is legal where you are fire one up.
The Mighty Zep!
Yeah the stairway to heaven is a metaphor for the ascension through life to death...The song starts off slow picks up then dies off just like birth-peak-death
Cool show
Robert Plant was 23 when he wrote the lyrics
Great song choice bruv.
Robert would only say the lyric was one of hope.
You smoked ! Getting lost trying to talk about Zeppelin, your high...😵💫🥴😵💫
I imagine they were tripping on LSD back in the 70s. Lol. God bless.
Check out more of their songs…
check out studio version of Kashmir!
Stairway. On par with Beethoven's 5th and Mozart's Eine Kline Nacht Musik.
New sub😎✌️
Serious reactors use headphones...you miss alot when you don't use them, trust me.
The visuals you are seeing are fan made I think. There was no visual accompaniment in 1971.
Please react to the live version at madison square gardens 1973. You will not be disappointed. 4 guy's on stage. Brilliant

Live at madison square gardens 1973 is absolutely better than the recording. AMAZING.
You are so cute! Up to par? They are the greatest!! Listen to his music and you will understand 💯
Check out Gino Vannelli’s Brother to Brother

The song is about a rich and beautiful woman who gets eveything with just a word and she Doesent understsnd why she cant buy a stairway to heavien

Did this dude just pause Stairway half way through the Jimmy Page solo? Dear god, the youth of today...
Yes I know it's annoying but her is reacting to it. And they are supposed to pause so the video doesn't get taken down.
Ooooo, unfortunate pauses there during the guitar solo.
You've commited a mortal sin! Never, ever interupt a lead guitar solo!
I think it's the fact that you've only been out of high school for four years, that makes you want to smoke something, because it's not the song. Doesn’t sound good. Sounds hollow. You’ve got to listen with headphones on and feed that sound through to UA-cam. 👍
The musicians long ago could sing and play instruments now they all need help because most can't sing they just pretend and most of the listeners believe them if all the auto went off you would all get a shock

No one can assert that this is the greatest rock song ever as there were so many great ones. People can only have a personal opinion. I lived through that whole period and know them all.
Rookie mistake. Never, ever, interrupt a solo when reacting. You will attract hate.
