they set nothing. they were frauds. they've been sued over and over again for stealing songs from lesser known bands. we're not talking about borrowing a riff or something but whole songs. they're by far the most over rated and over blown band of all time. theres hours of videos showing them stealing whole songs from other artists. so no they didnt set a bench mark for anything besides being pretentious douche bags who steal from other bands. sure paige and bonham were very talented but when you cant write your own music it dosent really matter.
@@youtubebannedme4207 not every song had something stolen. It's famously known this song that it's thought that Led Zeppelin stole the opening riff. But only the opening riff. Led Zeppelin were an English rock band formed in London in 1968. The group consisted of vocalist Robert Plant, guitarist Jimmy Page, bassist/keyboardist John Paul Jones, and drummer John Bonham. Led Zeppelin have been credited as significantly impacting the nature of the music industry, particularly in the development of album-oriented rock (AOR) and stadium rock. Many critics consider Led Zeppelin one of the most successful, innovative and influential rock groups in history. Led Zeppelin are one of the best-selling music artists of all time; various sources estimate the group's record sales at 200 to 300 million units worldwide. To answer you question, playing that double neck guitar is the band's leader, Jimmy Page. I'm a Zeppelin fanatic! Listen to all their stuff... do the montage... all 9 albums. :-D Jimmy Page is a guitar legend. He can play those 2 and 3 neck guitars and can do all of them with a cello bow. He's the master virtuoso...lol... Interesting trivia, when Page formed the band, it was decided that he would put out NO singles. If you wanted a song, you hadda buy the album... Radio stations couldn't play songs much over 3 minutes, so Page decided the songs would be 5+ minutes....lol... I've watched a lot of his interviews in the last few years... he's amazing. Hey man, I've been listening to this song for nigh on 4 decades and it still gives me goosebumps ! It makes me laugh, cry, chuckle and sigh ! It leaves me with a lump in my throat and an aching it makes me wonder, yeah it makes me wonder, listening to this song is like going on holiday !!! watching you get blown away by it reminds me of the first time I ever heard it a friend of my mum's brought the album round to the house and I thought to myself, this album's got an interesting cover so I asked if I could borrow it and she said, "yeah, just make sure you look after it" and I said "yeah !? I always look after albums !" When I'd finished listening to the album (and "Stairway" was the last track) I was TOTALLY blown away by the WHOLE ALBUM, but especially Stairway ! The lyrics were printed on the inside of the album cover and I was so knocked out by the lyrics I decided to copy them down.
I know many ppl can think about this song in different ways.. and for 1 is nostalgic for me because it reminds me of my daddy playing his records and singing and playing air guitar and questioning me on what I think the songs about and making me think really deeply about it and appreciate it.. and now as an adult who's battled addiction for half my life.. that is what the song means to me now.. I felt like he was singing about me.. "buying a stairway to heaven".. but there's "2 paths you can go".. but" there's still time to change the road you're on"..
Hey, brother Adogg. The studio version of this song off Led Zeppelin IV is the greatest R&R song of all time. Nothing else comes close. That's how good it is. It is the greatest Rock song ever with the greatest guitar solo, the greatest lick in rock history (the Ami triad that repeats 10 times), the greatest drum roll in Rock history (the one-measure drum roll that follows the Ami triad), the greatest line ever sung in Rock history (To be a ROCK and not to R-O-L-L!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and probably the greatest bridge in Rock history (the section before the first guitar solo). You could and probably should do another video listening to the studio version. Thanks for the video critique and I hope to see you again...with the studio version. You have no idea what you are missing until you hear that song!!!
It is sooo very cool to see your face light up . How lucky you are to hear this for the first time. It amazes me that there are still Zeppelin virgins. ❤✌
The Kennedy Center tribute to Led Zeppelin where this song was done by Heart was one of the best things I’ve ever seen and all while the members of Led Zeppelin watched. Absolutely mind boggling
This is ALL my music and it is really great to see someone your age appreciate it as I’m 72 and still love the old rock and roll and STILL play my old albums and REMEMBER the words . His name is Robert Plant the singer for Led Zeppelin.
Check out there song called since I been loving you live at Maddison square garden brother you ain't seen nothing yet they are the Goats keep getting the Led out thanks for the reaction 🎸🎸🎸🎸
This song has been voted best song many times. The album it's on, Led Zeppelin IV (4) sold more than 35 million copies. In 2020, it was #21 for the most streamed hard rock songs. You have to listen to all of Led Zeppelins albums, front to back, you will love it all. Start with "Babe, I'm gonna leave you" and "What is and what should never be". I can't wait to see your reactions. Do it now😄✌
You should do the Heart tribute version of this song. BUT, please wait until you've listened to a lot more Led Zep. It will be even more moving to you, once you know them better
You really can't go wrong with any Led Zeppelin song! My personal favorites are Black Dog, D'yer Maker, Whole Lotta Love, Goin to California, and on and on and on! I was blessed to see them twice in concert - yes that makes me old! By the way, Robert Plant (lead singer) make every girl in the place have the big "O"!!!!
My parents grew up with this music and I was going into kindergarten talking about Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Beatles you name it and all my friends thought I was so weird lol. I'm an 80s baby and grew up mostly in thr 90s, born in 82 I had amazing parents who had the best taste in music, my mom was mostly Motown and Folk, my dad played acoustic guitar and was a Classic Rock, Country guy. I grew out of it bc it was all I heard so all I did was listen to Rap and R&B in junior high then I switched to Grunge and got into early 90s, so I definitely was all over the place, I appreciated all types, 90s had so much going on definitely great decade of music. Hope you start listening to the Grudge Era, Alice In Chains is my favorite and Soundgarden, awesome to see the newer generation branch out into this ❤
Led Zeppelin is considered rock gods by many,,, they all amazing musician's,, and they don't just write a song they compose songs,, same as many of the day,,,, it's why there music is still popular even amoung those didn't grow up with it😎😎🤘
There are several other great songs from the same concert - Madison Square Garden, 1973 - Especially, "Since I've Been Loving You". "The Ocean". and "Black Dog"
ADOGG!!!!! Please miss this one. "I'm about to revile my age" I was in my teenage years when most of these bands were burning up the 2 lane highways touring from town to town inviting people to listen to their talents so they could earn money . It was the only way to succeed then because the only other way to make money was the radio via phonographs records. I am 52 now and when I watched you (feel) the sounds of these artists and be visibly moved, (I am a veteran and sometimes the National Anthem will move me to tears. Over all I am basically the antique version of a fighting patriot.) Watching you enjoying these songs took me back and I felt like I was rocking out with a great friend, and then I shed tears of joy. Keep up the great work.
You have a South Georgia accent but I see California items in the background. You sound just like my friend from Athens Georgia. I loved your reaction Zeppelin is a legend.
This video is from a 1973 concert @ Madison Square Garden in NYC. It was made into a film called "The Song Remains The Same", "Stairway To Heaven" is the most epic and iconic songs ever! If you search UA-cam you will find Orchestras playing it!!! There is even this pianist that kills it!! I saw Zep 2X at the same venue in '77, and Jimmy Page played his guitar with a violin bow!!!
Led Zeppelin was perhaps the greatest live rock band of all time, but to get the real feel of this song, you need to check out the studio version as well. It's one of the most famous recordings ever in rock and roll. Zep was formed in 1968 out of the ashes of the great British group The Yardbirds, of which Jimmy Page was the lead guitarist. The group disbanded right as they were about to go on a European tour, so Page put together "The New Yardbirds" with three of his fellow best musicians in the world, lead vocalist Robert Plant, bassist/keyboardist John Paul Jones and drummer John Bonham. Shortly thereafter, they changed their name to Led Zeppelin (a name that was given to them by drummer Keith Moon from The Who). For the next 11 years, Zep was literally THE biggest rock band in the world. John Bonham tragically died in 1979 and the group broke up immediately afterward. Page and Plant have worked together on a number of other projects, including The Honeydrippers and Page & Plant Unledded. Plant went on to a HUGELY successful solo career. The surviving group has reunited a few times, most notably for Live Aid in 1985 (with Phil Collins on drums), for a big reunion concert in 2007 with John Bonham's son Jason on drums, and 2012 when they received the Kennedy Center Honors.
There is a 30 minute live of Dazed and Confused. ABSOLUTELY MIND BLOWING! If you can always react to LIVE version, they always play best live and change their songs as they play.
If you haven't heard it, you need to listen to Led Zeppelin Kashmir Celebration Day Concert ,live at the o2 arena London, 2007. I've seen Zep 7 times live , between 1969 and 1980, and this concert is by far the best I've ever heard them play. Same line up , Robert Plant (lead vocals) Jimmy Page (guitar) John Paul Jones (Keyboards and Bass), and John Bonham's son Jason on drums.
The greatest band to ever grace the stage. They were then, they are today.and will forever be tomorrow. There are no bad Led Zeppelin songs only timeless masterpieces. Do" Dazed and Confused" live 1973 at Madison square garden.also "The Song Remains the same/The Rain song" from the same show. Other songs "Since I've been Loving you," Whole latta Love",No Quarter", Kashmir,or from earls Court "In my time of Dying"and "Going to California" like I said really there are no bad Zeppelin songs
This song was the the theme for my HS graduating classes Prom. What I heard was that they got their name from the Beatles. One of them, George Harrison I think, said LZ would crash like a lead balloon, or Led Zeppelin in German. This is one of the original groups on the Mount Rushmore of hard rock. Jimmy Page on guitar is on the Mount Rushmore of guitarists. Robert Plant on vocals. Another double double cd set for this group. Not enough hours in a day for Led "for your head" Zeppelin.

Must do When the Levee Breaks 😊
Got to check out whole lot of love.
You need to watch the group Heart sing this song at The Kennedy Center for Led Zeppelin
You will just blow the brothers mind. Dont complicate things. Pure Led Zeppelin is enough right now
The song is a masterpiece. The 1970's was a Goldmine of music.Watch you everyday. 7-11-2021
Traveling Riverside Blues, Since I've Been Loving You
Hey man, I've been listening to this song for nigh on 4 decades and it still gives me goosebumps !
It makes me laugh, cry, chuckle and sigh !
It leaves me with a lump in my throat and an aching
it makes me wonder, yeah it makes me wonder,
listening to this song is like going on holiday !!!
watching you get blown away by it reminds me of the first time I ever heard it
a friend of my mum's brought the album round to the house and I thought to myself, this album's got an interesting cover
so I asked if I could borrow it and she said, "yeah, just make sure you look after it" and I said "yeah !? I always look after albums !"
When I'd finished listening to the album (and "Stairway" was the last track) I was TOTALLY blown away by the WHOLE ALBUM, but especially Stairway !
Led Zeppelin was my first concert in 1978...fun times 😁 so happy you love it. Led Zeppelin is a deep rabbit hole. Have fun!!🤩
One of the best bands ever. Seriously
It is sooo very cool to see your face light up . How lucky you are to hear this for the first time. It amazes me that there are still Zeppelin virgins. ❤✌
I love that you are enjoying the 70s rock..great time greatest music...ever...seen zeplin numerous times...they never failed to give a great concert
This was by far their biggest hit and that's Robert plant singing he also has a solo career
I like the way Robert tells us his melodious story. He's a true poet.
Check out there song called since I been loving you live at Maddison square garden brother you ain't seen nothing yet they are the Goats keep getting the Led out thanks for the reaction 🎸🎸🎸🎸
Cream of the crop!! LED ZEPPELIN
You'll have a impossible time trying to find a bad Zeppelin song. Pick an album, pick a song, with Led Zeppelin you can't go wrong.
Hope you start listening to the Grudge Era, Alice In Chains is my favorite and Soundgarden, awesome to see the newer generation branch out into this ❤
Led Zeppelin is considered rock gods by many,,, they all amazing musician's,, and they don't just write a song they compose songs,, same as many of the day,,,, it's why there music is still popular even amoung those didn't grow up with it😎😎🤘
Jimmy Page killing it like always.
Goat
Best live band ever
You have a South Georgia accent but I see California items in the background. You sound just like my friend from Athens Georgia. I loved your reaction Zeppelin is a legend.
This video is from a 1973 concert @ Madison Square Garden in NYC. It was made into a film called "The Song Remains The Same", "Stairway To Heaven" is the most epic and iconic songs ever! If you search UA-cam you will find Orchestras playing it!!! There is even this pianist that kills it!! I saw Zep 2X at the same venue in '77, and Jimmy Page played his guitar with a violin bow!!!
Everybody feels peace and harmony as this song plays, of course I sing along.
"When the Levee Breaks" was sampled by Beastie Boys - who sampled a few other LZ songs too!
Zeppelin is worth listening to! All their albums are great!
I'd start at their first album, Led Zeppelin 1. I can already see you going down that rabbit hole, might as well start from the get-go
There is a 30 minute live of Dazed and Confused.
Heartbreaker
The ocean
Kashmir live 1979
So sad that they stopped playing after John Bonham (drummer) died. Check out Since I’ve Been Loving you at this same concert
Yes!!
Zeppelin, genesis (Phil Collins and Peter Gabriel) billy Joel and early Michael Jackson = pure perfection
Oh yea...One more favorite and not listened to much, "I'm Gonna Crawl"...a MUST LISTEN
Love this reaction. I remember my brother taking the long way home so we could hear the whole thing 😊
Try since I’ve been loving you live at Madison Square Gardens 1973 ☺️
This song was the the theme for my HS graduating classes Prom. What I heard was that they got their name from the Beatles. One of them, George Harrison I think, said LZ would crash like a lead balloon, or Led Zeppelin in German. This is one of the original groups on the Mount Rushmore of hard rock. Jimmy Page on guitar is on the Mount Rushmore of guitarists. Robert Plant on vocals. Another double double cd set for this group. Not enough hours in a day for Led "for your head" Zeppelin.
Whole lotta love is a must reaction! 🎵❤️🔥
I got to see LZ in concert in Denver in 1970. Awesome.
your reaction and smile is infectious!!! Love it!
