At 268 pounds, I was diagnosed with diverticulitis, and my doctor considered surgery as a potential option. She recommended cutting out red meat and increasing my intake of plant-based foods. However, this approach only worsened my condition, with the pain becoming so severe that I was frequently bedridden. Eventually, I discovered the ketogenic diet, and after adopting a high-fat approach, I lost over 100 pounds. Transitioning to a carnivore diet, I have been symptom-free for nearly three years and have experienced complete healing from my diverticulitis.

It’s really funny, been a Carnivore since June 2023 (and have benefited with out of this world results), however I started learning from Dr Chaffee’s videos AT FIRST to learn about this diet/lifestyle change, but since I’m healthy now I NOW view these videos due to the fascination with just how amazing and amazingly complex (in a good way) our bodies are.
I can’t believe how efficient I am now in every way.
Love learning about our bodies, I can’t see this ever stopping.
Thanks Doc for all you do…PS, I’m glad you call Australia home;)

You should definitely sue them, and it should be part of the settlement should be them retracting their statement and doing a focus on you and your achievements. It might help alleviate some of the damage that they’ve done. Thank you for hanging in there.

Here’s another thing dr. Chaffee is we know your a doctor and you have built trust with us who watch you . Results speak over haters opinions ALWAYS ! people should be able to look at your age and the shape your in alone as a testimony of what’s healthy anyways .im no doctor but i help people with fitness and have tried EVERYTHING there is to get into shape that I desired and have eliminated it all the way down to carnivore being the best . But again many people who know me trust me because they number 1 can tell my character and my attentions are pure and 2 . See the results in my mind ; body , and soul ….i think we just need more regular people out here who have a testimony to get the word out as well ….a lot of people have lost trust in most these doctors even if it’s not all their fault there doing what there programmed to do just like we as people are ….we need to come together and GOD will do the rest ….people parish for a lack of knowledge !!! Stay blessed YALL 🙏🏻😇❤️💪🏽

Probably Dr. Chaffee would have the lawyer do the filings of all legal paperwork and therefore it wouldn't be distracting the Dr. Even if Dr. Chaffee does have to take some time away from his current responsibilities... By NOT suing Dr. Chaffee is allowing misinformation to proliferate. He's not taking action against those who spread misinformation.

@Lloue CORRECT! Everyone is different with their requirement and tolorance for "good" Fat is differant. I'd start with a lower Protein:Fat ratio..and see how your body responds, and very gradually increase the fat.. LISTEN TO YOUR BODY.. I started with a 55%:45% and increased a little tiny amount over several months..I did try to go up about by 10% initially and found that was NOT a good idea.. Slow and steady is better way to go.

I drink Bone Broth.. the good kind - homemade..it has the awesome netrition gelatinous goodies in it... loaded with collagen. The commericial stuff..contains very little of that...even the exspensive organic stuff. I dont drink bone broth as a meal replacement, but rather as a meal enhancement! While I dont focus on "calories" I'm at about 2000-2200 calories per day and I'm highly active 4 to 5 days per week. I have a ton of energy at 66, since going carnivore. I focus more on the Marcros: Protien/Good Fats and keeping the carbs under 20 grams per day.

@Real Carnivore 25-hydroxy vitamin D (25(OH)D) is the primary circulating form of vitamin D in the body and is the most accurate way to measure vitamin D levels in the blood. The liver metabolizes vitamin D into 25(OH)D, which is then used by the kidneys to produce the active form of vitamin D, 1,25-dihydroxy vitamin D (1,25-D).
25(OH)D levels are a combination of vitamin D intake and vitamin D produced from sunlight exposure. A 25(OH)D test is used to determine if a patient is deficient, sufficient, or intoxicated with vitamin D. A normal reference range for 25(OH)D is 30-100 ng/mL.
Some groups are at higher risk for vitamin D deficiency, including: older adults, people with darker skin, and people with obesity

    • @chrisminifie219

Low T3 is not necessarily sign of disease. We become thyroid sensitive on this diet just like we do with insulin. Selenium is needed for T4 to T3 conversion so it’s not always iodine that needs to be looked at. Iodine supplements are advertised way too frequently in my opinion. Get complete blood work done to see what is going on.

Time stamp 13:42 - Dr Chaffe I'm sorry to burst your bubble, regarding the fact that it takes decades to build up a blockage. I had coronary angiogram on 16 September 2021 with no flow restricting lesions found and no intervention required. I continued my Keto diet and then changed to a carnivore diet in circa June 2022. On 6 December 2022 I was rushed to hospital with severe chest pains which was caused by a critical mid vessel stenosis in the RCA which required a stent.

I don't get it. How popular are 3 h long videos amongst people who don't really care and figuratively would need to be force-fed nutritious food?
Here is the ultimate Q and A: Carnivore is the Ultimate elimination diet that will help you rule out or determine any underlying food allergies or food-related metabolic issues. It is a complete diet and does not need to be substituted, if adhered to with a steadfast resolve. While consuming it isn't required to be healthy, it will be sufficient, if not optimal, on its own.
And as always when starting a diet, or listening to influencers: Don't follow the name. Judge the thing by its ingredients and content.
Personally speaking, any whole food based diet that has 65+% animal fats and predominantly animal protein is carnivore. Doesn't matter what the rest is, as long as it is whole foods.
That's the message. Right? All those questions, they come from ignorance. You can't fight ignorance with wisdom. It never worked. Will never work. You can make the same video 12 different times; it won't catch on by just spreading the word. Wisdom only works when acquired personally. You can't teach it.
Just spread the word that it is safe. Make a clip with 2 million carnivores all saying "it's safe". That will work. Get public figures to promote it. Rappers, singers, TV actors. Pay someone in Hollywood to include that stuff in some movie. Have some stuff on Netflix. Play the whole field, with real gear. Pay politicians. It needs to permeate all markets. That's what the enemy is doing.
Don't make a movie and add another entry to the self-education shelf.
This self-teaching interest on the Internet is way too small to make a difference, it's just some hippie niche. You'll never reach the masses. The Resistance is way too great and funded too well. Only activism will balance it out, not information overload.
And we can't make it profitable if it stays a niche, but if it ain't profitable, it will never work globally. Unless we abolish capitalism.
Which is an even bigger undertaking. ;)
Thank you, Dr Chaffee, for fighting a good fight. Conserve your energy, this fight will be a long haul. Decades.

Are we not telling the whole story when we use this argument?

The problem with keto and carnivore is that I get less energy and by extension lower libido which is a no no for me. It literally becomes a hassle to climb the stairs, carry stuff I’d normally do easily, do cardio at the gym, lift weights or even walk, also my boners aren’t as hard and overall less energy in bed. I’ve tried increasing the fat(by literally biting and chewing grass fed butter). Also added Himalayan pink salt to my water before drinking(for electrolytes) but still no difference. I also lose vascularity as well. I find get more vascular from eating carbs.
Having experienced all these, when I eat carbs again, all of a sudden I get hulk-like energy, I’m hard again randomly(libido is on a 100, boner is rock solid and I can keep going), I just feel an influx of energy and I’m whole again.
Keto and carnivore diet have so many health benefits I’d really like to tap into but the energy part is a deal breaker for me. If anyone has an idea of how I can successfully switch to say carnivore without losing energy and libido I’d appreciate and will get you a cup of coffee. Please don’t tell me to ride out the transition period, some people say it takes them months or weeks. I can’t afford a day of low energy so there has to be another way. Except energy from fat is just always flat and not as high as carbs then I’d not bother myself with carnivore diet anymore.
    Thanks in advance!

My question would be how long have you tried carnivore for?

Well, if you can't afford one day of carbs withdrawal then I guess in your particular case you should continue taking the drug.

@@sw4508 I tried carnivore for 3 days cold turkey and I experienced a really horrible diarrhea and low energy on the 3rd day that I couldn’t workout effectively. I’m still trying to do carnivore but using the slow approach this time.
Currently I’m just eating meat and fruits(only banana atm) and that seems to be fine. Gradually I’ll be increasing the fats and decreasing the carbs(I.e the fruits) and hopefully my body will learn how to run on fats with time and eventually I’ll be off the fruits.
I’m basically trying to bypass all the carb withdrawal symptoms, I don’t believe we absolutely have to go through that. I’ll leave an update if it works or not over the next couple weeks

@toponly8505 ya that explains it. For me when I switched the first week I felt amazing and then the next two or three weeks I was low energy and didn't feel optimal. After that it switched and I felt great. Around the 4th and 5th month is where the magic happened for me. I threw my glasses away that I was wearing for astigmatism, most of the pain i was in vanished, I was like a new person. I'm 560 day in now and never going back.
Take your time if you need to. It will get better.

    OMAD/OMNE MEAL A DAY? WTH?
FiRst your body can/will only process about 50 grams of protien.. about every two hours or so. So if you're trying to insure you're getting 125 to 150 grams of protein per day.. or at least 1 gram of protein per desired pound of body weight.. How then exactly are you going to do that when you OMAD? YOU CANT.. Trying shove all that food down in OMAD is HARD ON YOUR BODY TOO! If you're a male... you should probably be around 2000 cals - actually more.. Ladies, you're not that far behind the guys.. So you're telling me you're gonna shove that much food down your throat in OMAD? WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU EVEN THINK THAT OMAD WOULD BE GOOD/HEALTHY/BENIFICIAL IN ANY WAY?

I would agree with you on so many things. But I just can share my carnivore experiment. I am on 4th day. Previously was eating 2000 kcal daily. Now, easily in one meal, I am doing 2000 kcal. Because of high amount of fat. But the amount of food is very small, compared to my previous grains/veggies/legumes foods. I feel perfectly well, not bloated and fully satisfied. In the end, I have 4200 kcal inside me and feeling very fell (only my wallet is crying, which is actually my biggest problem with this diet now). And the next day? For 3 days like this, I am 200g lighter each morning. I don't get it. The strength is much much bigger, and I am also much more happier, sociable.
I think you know it's all about experience. Theories are working only to some extend.

It's a common fallacy that no more than 50 grams can be absorbed per meal.
Also, it's much easier to do omad once you're past the carb withdrawal stage. The body acts differently in regards to food. So if I eat too little or too much one day I naturally do the opposite the next. If I don't eat for 24 hours then when I do eat I want to eat much more.
Eating is a violent act within the body as it's taking in foreign substances which kick off a ton of defenses for that, meat included. It's a good idea to limit how many times a day that happens.
