      @AfferbeckBeats 8 років тому +2

      +Maurice Long Lu Xiaojun has short femurs, so if even his knees extend beyond his toes, you know it is an absolute necessity for this to occur in lifters with longer femurs. I don't know where this misinformation about 'don't let your knees go beyond your toes' came from or why it is so pervasive among people in fitness.

    • @pyrocentury
      @pyrocentury 8 років тому

      danehb89 I'm not going to argue if it's about going over the knees, but just because something's necessary doesn't mean that it's good body mechanics. My point was that movements that work for one athlete might not necessarily translate to success for others.

      @@Tom-vu1wr Not a fair comparison when Lasha has been in the same weight class for some time now whereas Lu has been in three (77kg,81kg and now 73kg) since they started wringing major competitions.
      Plus remember I said “Lu is stronger pound for pound”. This means that although Lasha is stronger OVERALL, Lu is stronger pound for pound because :
      a. They can both squat 250kg. But Lu is stronger pound for pound because he has required less body weight to squat the same weight as a much heavier man
      b. Lu has back squatted 270kg which is almost 4x bodyweight,the most I have ever see Lasha back squat was about 300lg-310lg which is nowhere near 4xbidyweight for Lasha
      Furthermore:
      c. How is Lu Xiaojun not the GOAT of his weight class when he was the only one playing (in his weight class) with a 200kg C+J in TRAINING prior to his year off,is a 3x Olympic world champion, and his team mate Tian Tao who is extremely gifted himself,still has never snatched higher than Lu,at the same time being in a higher weight class? Even people from other countries one weight class heavier than Lu couldn’t’ snatch his 177kg WR?
      You’re probably the type of guy who loves the big guys for some reason.

    The Chinese are one of the best lifters in the sport. Especially at the olympic level. Which is amazing in that lifting isn't a popular sport culturally. Most Chinese are not about muscle and building up size. Y:et China produces some of the best (some might say "the best" and cleanest lifters in the world). Any time some joker pokes fun at Chinese guys (who don't lift) should watch videos like this. :) Chinese (China) do things so well. At the world level. Gymnastics. Olympic lifting. Fencing...etc.

      Lol the bars are built to be dropped. Regardless it's kind of a dick move to do from overhead.

      Weightlifters are probably the most mental lifters in the barbell "sport". He probably does not drop it to be annoying, but he's replicating the exact movement pattern to the T that has been ingrained in his CNS removing any variable (putting the bar down slowly) that deviates from his heavy sets.

      exactly.. the problem is when betas who train with 1 plate as their max, think they have the right to do the same, in an ORDINARY gym

      @MrYekunoamlak 8 років тому +67

      they do have that right.......you should check yourself buddy..making your own rules in your head that you will except a great lifter doing this, but when it is a guy who is working up to being like these guys emulates it your gonna catch feeling about it?? chill the fuck out and stop taking shit so seriously getting butthurt over nothing.

      The average gym bro is borrowing the bar from the gym. It’s not his property to damage. These elite lifters can drop their own bars because it’s their property. See how that works?

    Me: watching pro-athletes warmup with an empty bar to get comfortable with the workout.
    My gym dudes: let’s start off adding 50LB on the bar for warmups and just go from there.
