    My brother, niece and I rode our Groms in the Big Bend back country this past weekend. It is wonderful just to be there.
    We have been visiting Big Bend for more than 30 years and the park rangers are always trying to talk us out of going into the back country. It does not matter if we are on the Groms, big adventure bikes or 4x4 trucks. Sometimes they are pretty aggressive about it. We just go out and have some fun, while staying on the established roads. Everyone, please stay on established roads!!!

    • @MotoMission.
      @MotoMission.  2 місяці тому

      Yeah I was surprised about that. I had a lady who was terrible to us. It was a real turn off. We almost left the park because we thought we were at the wrong place. I find that adv riders are the most respectful and they stay on marked trails.

    Park Ranger says: "Too tough, even for motorcycles". Brock responds: "Hold my cervesa, por favor!" Brock, that outtro was epic, cinematic and geographic. The elevated water tower makes so much sense - storage and water pressure together. Big Bend National Park is full of surprises -- I had no idea it was so beautiful, rugged and stark.

    Nice video! Big Bend is one of my favorite places! The Park Rangers are over the top w/ their concern, have had similar experiences of them telling us we couldn't navigate Black Gap in a stock 4wd F150 - ridiculous, had no problems. The Gage Hotel in Marathon is about an hour outside of the park, but easily some of the nicest accommodations and best dining in the area. Next time you're out that way, check out Big Bend State Park for even more ADV bike offroad trails and even fewer people. Be sure to take the road to Chorro Vista, and when you get there walk over the ridge to the east (your left), the view is unbelievable!

    Great video! The place is beyond words. No one thinks of Texas having a desert. Longhorns and cowboys, yes, but a desert?Yeah the Rangers want to scare everyone because if you aren’t prepared you can die out there. A 24y.o. guy died hiking on Marufo Vega Trail this Oct. 2024. Even in October the daytime temps can get in the 100’s. The park gets pretty crowded on holidays. The State Park has nice campgrounds along the river on FM 170, the River Road, which is an awesome ride to Presidio. The interior of the State Park, the road is all gravel. In the interior of the park there’s basically no shade at the campsites. So it can be pretty rough out there.

    Big Bend is the states crown jewel in my opinion. I have ridden out there a few times and taken the 4x4 many times more, it's truly an epic experience. Ask those of us who have been a few times or more and they will almost certainly tell you that the state park is better than the national park in terms of raw off-road experience so if you haven't visited the state park you need to return again and do so. Big Bend not only has one of the best night sky viewing opportunities in the entire country but it's the only place in the state that feels like you're out in one of the mountainous western states. Another must do is the Boquillas crossing, you'll find some of the best cabrito tacos you'll ever have lie just across the border in that tiny tourist village. BB is one of our favorite places to visit, it simply calls to you and it's a place that every Texan and American should experience at least once in their lifetime.

    Just a warning. Big Bend STATE PARK is far more gnarly than the National Park. Its Ranger Station is about 2-3 hours from the park entrance and the camp sites can be a few hours from the Ranger Station once you check in. Many of the roads going to the camp sites are not passable without 4x4 and a lift. When you are planning a trip be sure you are looking at the right one.

    Riding here is a blast and you don't even need to haul ass. Too bad we have others who TOTALLY disrespect others PRIVATE property and just think they can ride anywhere they want, destrouyin and scarring the desert hills all around Study Butte. As someone who lives here l can tell you many are getting REAL tired of that s#!t. Come out, enjoy the ride, but be respectful of OUR HOME and this desert. There are a couple of places l know of where riders reach a spot and then do donuts all around, riding through and destroying 11,000 year old habitat sites. Pitiful people.
