I’ve never been to US but there’s something about Texas that really attracts me, maybe it’s these vast open areas which give a sense of freedom. What a beautiful place it is. Great video, keep it up and ride safe! Much love from India ❤️
Thanx for sharing your ride in Big Bend. It's been several years since I've ridden Marathon, PJ, the Hot Springs and Terlingua but have a trip planned for April 2025. But just on a very old Harley... no ADV for this 70 year old! Thanks again.
Wow, Staci, you’ve outdone yourself on this one! Beautiful drone segments. Fantastic colors during the golden hours. You’re not biased as a native - West Texas is beautiful! I’ve been to Big Bend six times - can’t get enough of this park.
You stopped at my _second_ favorite Tex-Mex spot in Uvalde. Ophelia’s, right on the west of of town, is the BEST! Big Bend is some of the most spectacular country in the US. Big Bend National Park is fantastic, but for off-road riding, Big Bend Ranch State Park, just next door to the west, is the dealio. The bunkhouse at the Sauceda Ranger Station is a great place to camp out - huge well stocked kitchen. But you got to do your own cooking! And, yeah, when riding solo, always best to play it safe.😃
The important thing is to keep the enthusiasm and continue to do what you do, think positively and always work at the best quality. I'm always very happy to see you work well
I love your videos so much. Mostly because you are doing what I would love to do. Hop on the Harley and travel the country. Unfortunately my brain is incapable of slowing down and just enjoying the journey. I constantly have this feeling looming over my head that I have to be somewhere and I'm late. I haven't relaxed since the early 90's. So until I learn to take it easy and stop and smell the roses, I will continue to live vicariously through you. Thanks so much for the videos.
Great video! I know a lot of people don't know much about Kentucky however you should put it on your radar. There isn't any flashy roads made famous yet there's plenty of great roads that have all the makings of Curves, Beer, Bourbon, Food, History, scenery, camping, parks and ADVENTURE! I keep applying to be Indian Ambassador wanting to bring awareness to this great state.
Found your channel a little while a go, seen most of your vids now, and i love them. This series is great, you have wonderful footage, driving and drone are perfekt. Love the history lessons. get a bit hungry watching all the good food you try.😋 Keep up the great work! 😊😊

That is one of the best videos I've seen. I love your editing, and how the video flowed. I work for the railroad and have been over the Pecos on 90 and the rail bridge. I always go out I-10 and cut over in Fort Stockton on 67 and come out pretty close to Alpine. You are right about River Road 170,one of the coolest roads I've been on. I've always ridden a Road King out there, but just recently got a Honda Africa Twin, and going there in February 2024 and hit all the dirt roads. The Harley Pan American is a very cool bike! Maybe I'll see you out there one day,be super carefull riding by yourself!
Great Video! This should be TV series. I've been to Lajitas to golf many times and debating taking the motorcycle trip. Now I can't NOT think about when I can make the trip happen. Thanks for taking us along!

Great Video...Damnit! Keep adding places to my list, how will I ever get to all these places! Thanks Staci. Looking forward to see what '23 adventures you have in store.
Super excited to watch this one. The Big Bend has been my home-away-from-home since the late 90's, and i'm super jazzed to be finally riding the OldWing through there in just a couple of weeks. Checking out some new roads you're covering in these videos, THANK YOU for the preview! I look forward to more great content from you.
Gotta say your videos are wonderfully put together. Great eye for good shots, great editing and lovely design. I wish most youtubers would understand story and pace like you do.
Thank you for sharing your adventures. I get to see parts of this beautiful country that I might have missed, and see places that I'll put on my bucket list. Ride safe little sister, may God keep you safe, and give you a long ride thru life.
Great video. I was born and lived in Odessa for many years and any time I was off work I went to Big Bend. I have been just about everywhere in Big Bend. I had to move to North Texas because of my job but I still go there on vacation. I love that place and love to hike there too. I always hike the window trail. Years ago you could ride horses to the window and a few other trails around there. That was a lot of fun but they don't anymore. Yes the Brick Vault is good if you can catch them open. Great food and beer. Keep up the great adventure.
I loved this!. First went to Big Bend in the 70s as a student, lately have returned as a retiree on a motorcycle about a dozen times. The park has changed, but the food and Highway 17 is the best... and will now visit the Lost Horse at Marfa. Looks like a classic southwest Texas dinery. Good work!
as a fellow Texan I too get to enjoy the Big Bend area about every other year, and yes 170 out of Presido is the best road here in the state. Have you had the chance to visit the McDonald Observatory? We made the time to go last year, it was quite informative and well worth the time not to mention the several nice roads to ride in the area. We are headed back to Hot Spings Arkansas again in a few months and excited to use your video as a template while there. Thanks for the info! Continued safe rides.
Hay great post, I Luv seeing around your Great Country & always enjoy it when you go camping and when you stop at places for food and drinks, whatever you have is a bonus to see what you do. Clive live, frm New Zealand🙂👋
Awesome video. I’ve traveled quite a bit of the eastern side of the US on a motorcycle. Just got into adventure bikes as well. Thanks Staci for the beautiful footage of Big Bend. Can’t wait to get there in the future.
My family stayed in a airbnb cabin in January. Can't wait to go back on my bike and enjoy the River Road on 2 wheels instead of 4. Hwy 17 should be the state byway. Next visit make sure you visit the Terlingua cemetery, perfect vibe for an otherworldly landscape. Starlight Theatre is a must stop for great food, drink and eclectic people. I drove through Alpine; but would like to explore this quaint little gateway to the BB country.
Ride Big Bend A LOT. Currently live in Johnson City Tx and at 72 not slowing down YET. My Ride is a 23 Suzuki DL 1050 adventure bike so as soon as the heat is more tolerable I’ll be headed back to Ft Davis and Big Bend. Safe travels, Tom
Have only seen a few of your vids but always great stuff. That old school hotel key - how cool. Reminds me of my childhood and traveling with my parents and those old school keys with the hunk of plastic.
Big Bend is another area on my list. The only thing is that I think I'd explore Big Bend for a week and then somehow keep riding into Mexico. Excellent video. I hope you go back and make more videos in Big Bend.
How inspiring. Now I have to carve out more vacation or even unpaid time off to take a small detour to this area. I've got the feeling it will be good for my soul.
Thanks so much for a great video and tips on great places to see and awesome places to eat! As I watched you ride through West Texas in that golden light, I had to look outside at my own bike and realize that it's ZERO DEGREES this morning(!), so watching and listening to a ab/fab trip through that scenic country was just the fix I needed! Now I am really anxious for our snow to finally melt so I can head south to check out the places you mentioned! Wicked Awesome! Happiness is not just around the next curve, it is the curve! Keep riding!
My wife and I were there 20 March-23 March 2023 it was our first time. AWESOME doesn’t really get close enough to that area of Texas. It snowed the day before we got there and rained the night we got there. Saying that, all the off road trails were closed. We were in my 21 single cab 3500HD and went to balancing rock. That road took a hour because the rough ride. We are going back and when we do I’m bringing my XR650L, and adding at least 10 days. 3 days doesn’t give enough time to scratch the surface.
You’re my kind of girl you do exactly the same things I have done. I’ve been out to the big bend. I love the same types of food, especially spicy, roasted jalapeños, and Barbacoa tacos and all that stuff and I’ve been out to the Big and Mara and Lang with the same sort of experiences, love your videos and they make me wanna go back and visit. Don’t have a Harley. It’s still fun to ride.
Try camping at Big Bend Ranch State Park one time. Be prepared though, it’s about 20 degrees cooler in the higher altitude and real remote. You might enjoy it.
Stacy, I always love your stuff. Great videography and just enough, but no too much talk. The videos speak for themselves, especially with the good tacos. I first went to Big Bend before the roads there were paved. Still love the place. Been there every year since 2012... Stay safe, keep posting.
Hey Staci, I know you put this video up two weeks ago. I hope you are still reading comments. Your remark about Texas not having any scenic byways made me wonder. As a Texan who has traveled nearly all of the state, I just knew I had seen some signs in the past. Crude research led me to the Texas Scenic Byways. I think there are about a dozen or so. I just happen to live along the Texas Plains Trail. Hope you’ll be inspired to ride one or more of the Texas Scenic Byways. And you’ve inspired me to ride the one in my own backyard this year.
The trails aren’t actual scenic byways by legal standards, although i do know exactly what you’re talking about. You can read more about the potential (and eligible) roadways that may become official state scenic byways in the very near future, here: www.txdot.gov/business/grants-and-funding/scenic-byways.html
I lived in Marathon for a long time and still own property there. The Brick Vault is some of the best BBQ you will get in Texas. The beer is cold/delicious and the locals are great!
@@ridetofoodyou are a true creator sharing with us your adventures without trying to sell us anything. You’re our favorite channel, keep doing what you’re doing, we will follow!
YES!!! Brick Vault is worth every mile getting to it!! Awesome BBQ, Beer, & Scenery. First time there us guys were headed to BB on adventure bikes. Second time there same, but on big Harley's. Heading there next month on a couples ride to BB on big Harley's. Can't wait to stay at Gage Hotel and eat more of that great BBQ & Brew's!!! So go for sure!!!
I saw your post on Instagram that this video would be up today. I couldn’t wait to get home and watch it. Just a fantastic job showing off how amazing West Texas is.
Nice video, full marks taking on such a huge heavy bike, I wouldn’t, mines a little 300X ADV, a fraction of the weight of that monster HD. Limiting where your going because of your bike instead of enhancing, especially it’s supposed to be an off-roader doesn’t make sense, at least to me. I have just come back from a 5000kms bike tour from my home in Thailand to Vietnam via Laos, we did not camp, only hotels. It wasn’t cheap but went in company of some pretty big bikes, the biggest being 1250 GS’s, and me and my buddy who also shares the same 300 as me, although he is an expert, I have only being at it for just over five years so consider myself a novice. Think of getting a smaller lighter bike it will open up so much more to you, you won’t regret it. Happy riding, keep the rubber side down. Bon voyage. Texas as you say has so much to offer with some really spectacular scenery, enjoy.
Greetings from Houston! I love riding in West Texas as well and yes, marfa’s restaurants always have weird hours lol. Next trip out, don’t forget Marfa Prada landmark
So many things to comment on in this video. First, I was looking forward to your Big bend adventure and it sucks that most of the roads were closed down for you. I also own a Pan America and was hoping to get some suggestions. Secondly, I was hoping to get to see the Milky Way when we were out there last year but unfortunately it was the wrong time of year. The footage you provided from the chisos basin was beautiful. The chisos basin was probably the highlight of my trip last year. Third, those tacos looked amazing! I agree about Marfa...... What an over-hyped letdown THAT town is! I'd rather stay in Alpine next time. More beautiful, IMO. And, lastly, I have always enjoyed seeing more women getting into motorcycling and riding Harley's but my heart was saddened when I learned that your Pan American was a loaner. It's one thing to see a woman on pavement but even more rare to see one off-roading! There are a few "unicorns" out there, and that's what drew me to your channel, but also sharing a Pan America. I hope you don't stay away for too long!
best suggestion you can ever take is to check out the current road conditions on big bend's website! they include photos. what was once considered "decent" out there might be pretty intense these days. agree on marfa, it can be a bit frustrating. although it has come a long way since the first time I visited 10 years ago! stay tuned, you'll see a familiar "face" again soon.
Another great video! I love your work Staci. Keep it up. You remain my one of my favorite motorcycle vlog out there. Right balances of food, scenery, history, and riding. Bravo.

The trails aren’t actual scenic byways by legal standards, although i do know exactly what you’re talking about. You can read more about the potential (and eligible) roadways that may become official state scenic byways in the very near future, here: www.txdot.gov/business/grants-and-funding/scenic-byways.html
Friends and I rode from El Paso down to Big Bend and explored the area. We usually stayed in the litt.e town of Terlingua. A.ways had a lot of fun.
Another great video. Makes me want to ride to Texas! Food looked great! Looking forward to the next one.
Great video with fantastic scenery. The night sky was spectacular.
The stars at night, are big and bright ✨🤠👏👏👏👏
Dude! Every time 🤯. Amazing work!
I just finished some work on the Dyna. Can’t wait for west TX.
🤘🏼🤘🏼
You’ll love it out there!!!! Thanks for always leaving such positive comments! Appreciate you. 😊
I lived in Marathon for a long time and still own property there. The Brick Vault is some of the best BBQ you will get in Texas. The beer is cold/delicious and the locals are great!
Great vid and you wear Forza boots, I have pair, they're great❤
I get so excited when I see you have a new video! You never disappoint. Keep up the good work!
Thank you! Glad you enjoy them. 😊

Awesome!!!
Excellent as always. I definitely think I'm going to do an Arkansas loop this year because of your videos.
Your videos are always so good! Loved this !
Love the videography and the drone footage. Hopefully I'll make my way there from W. Tn. someday.
I saw your post on Instagram that this video would be up today. I couldn’t wait to get home and watch it. Just a fantastic job showing off how amazing West Texas is.
It really is magical. Glad ya enjoyed it!!
Great video!!! I think you changed my mind. I will ride to big bend for peace and quiet in stead or Daytona for a spring trip this year.
I'd choose Big Bend over Daytona as well! hah!

Awesome ride through that area. The BBQ plate looked amazing - I feel full just from looking at it.
See now you're in my home state..how cool.
Texas forever!
Enjoyed this very.much ❤️
Yay!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Big Bend is still on my bucket list. Eventually I hope. Great video.
Greetings from Houston! I love riding in West Texas as well and yes, marfa’s restaurants always have weird hours lol. Next trip out, don’t forget Marfa Prada landmark
Been to that back before I had a YT channel! 😊
Bravo.
Thank you! This is definitely one of my favorite videos I’ve made so far. Glad ya enjoyed it!
I'm from New Zealand. Love watching your vids.
Great watching another video of yours. Great work as usual. Thank you very much.
Thanks Lloyd!!!
