There is no real way of comparing the two, both were completely of and ahead of their respective times. As groups they both equalled more than the sum of their parts and soared high above their contemporaries.

It's blues as dirty as it gets by a fenomenal rock band! Blues and funk and rhythm & blues and folk and country and even rock a billy a billy and reggea are an integral part of their sound... and they lean quite heavy on the black groove and soul side of their playing. They ain't exactly square in their flow - to put it that way!

Of course it's the blues and the best blues from anywhere in the late 60s / early 70s. But blues with Led Zep's own special magic, influencing all the rock of that era! So Dad and Son are both right! Thank Chr.st for that!

Nice to see someone finally reviewing a great band that knows something about the band...Dropping Bonzo and Jimmy's name...Although I didn't get the love for John Paul Jones...No less important the Jimmy or Bonzo...:)...Great reaction

Jimmy Page is using a bow on his guitar to get those "spacy sounds". John "Gonzo" Bonham is one of the greatest drummers ever. I got to see Led Zeppelin three times. Your son needs to react to Stairway to Heaven. Most drummers followed the bass, Gonzo followed Jimmy Page's guitar.
