10-minute Indoor Walking Workout for Seniors, Beginner Exercisers

- This 10-minute indoor walking workout will help improve your cardiovascular health by getting your heart rate up and increasing strength with exercises that work your legs, glutes, core and upper body. Perfect for seniors and beginner exercisers. This workout is about 1200 steps, more or less depending on your pace.
Join my 81-year-old mom and me as we walk and say yes to next steps to good health. Take her advice: "Don't sit around. Get up and walk!"
Marching or walking in place is the foundation for the workout. The 30-second rounds will also work on your balance and coordination, which is important to prevent falls, the leading cause of non-fatal and fatal injuries among seniors.

This might sound weird, but I’m 17 and I feel so good after following along with this video. I was sick for more than 7 months. I used to get little to no movement throughout my whole day and I really appreciate this workout. It’s helping me!

I took my down syndrom bro out of his group home last year to protect him from covid. He has poor balance and we have been doing this for a week now. He is doing very well. He also thinks you are pretty and blows kisses while he is walking. Next week we will tackle another one of your videos to challenge him. I’ve kept my son who has Down syndrom at home because of covid. He’s gained a lot of weight so I was just looking for a walking video that I could do with him. It made me happy to read that it’s been working for your brother. ❤️
I am 81 years, with osteo artritis, and going to physical therapy. I just started watching your video today, 1/8/24. Although I have to stop every 45-60 seconds, I get right back up and go to the end of this video which I will be walking every day. Amazingly, I seem to stand just a bit better, and I can move my legs much better than when I am doing exercises. I have made a promise to myself that I will eventually go through this entire video without having ot rest, and then on to your long videos. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

I am a 71 year old man with hernia. The doctor told me to take a walk after every meal, but the weather up here in the cold north is not always good for a walk. Hi from South Africa! I was wondering if you’re still keeping up the 3x per day walking……😅……… I have changed meals to 2x per day, intermittent fasting to make the body self healing, and it works! Extra walking is provided by doing quite a bit of gardening: in our Cape climate an all year round activity! Best wishes😎

73 here. Have hip issues and overweight. Walking is difficult because of the hip. You popped up on my You Tube feed and I decided to try it because of your mom sitting ing the chair. I'm doing the 10 min for beginner seniors and the 5 min one in the evening. Thank you. I think this is something I can continue.

keep it up.I am 70 and was overweight and in a wheelchair at the age of 43 because of knees and I started exercising just using my upper body.and slowly the weight came off but the biggest thing is you feel good. (i've had 3 surgeries on my knees and doing great.YOU CAN DO THIS. may the Lord strengthen you in your difficult times.
I jut discovered this video. It’s perfect for this 86 year old, 288 lb couch potato with afib and lymphedema. I did 1-1/2 minutes yesterday and 3-1/2 minutes today. I also just started doing the rebounder again for 3 minutes in the morning. I’ll add a little more to it as I go along. Thanks so much!!

I want to thank you. My husband has Alzheimer's Disease and due to inactivity he is developing diabetes. I could not get him to walk with me. Found your videos a few weeks ago, I just love doing the exercises and my legs feel stronger already. It's a pleasure to watch both of you and the wonderful relationship you have, it reminds me of how I exercised and enjoyed the company of my beloved mom who passed last year at 92 yrs. Which videos would you suggest are the best for bone strength and avoiding osteoporosis?
You made me smile today! I'm only in my 20s but I'm unfit and trying to change that. Exercise usually leaves me struggling, exhausted and demotivated. I don't have a single athletic bone in my body so I've always struggled to stick to any type of exercise, but for the first time, I've found something I think I can genuinely do every day. Most "beginner" workouts are very fast-paced, complex and impact-heavy, they always assume that the person working out is already fit! It completely beats the purpose of a beginner workout. This is the first time I've found a TRUE beginner workout, thank you!

How are you doing?
About 3 months ago I twisted my ankle and damaged all the tendons on the side of my foot. At my age 76, it has taken a long time for the swelling and pain to reduce, and I found I had lost my coordination (I had developed a limp) and strength when I tried to return to my daily walks. Because of the winter weather here in England, I found it impossible to walk regularly. Thank you so much for this, even after a short time I can feel an enormous improvement, my limp has gone and my legs feel stronger.

Just found this yesterday. I'm a 62 year old couch potato with an office job where I sit all day. I never do sport and am overweight. So I did the warm-up routine and this 10-Minute Indoor Walking Workout today for the first time. I really had difficulties with coordinating legs and arms. It's pathetic. 🤣 But I'm resolved to do this for at least two weeks, just to see how effective it is for me.
I really like how calm this routine is. It's challenging but not stressful. My muscles are nice and warm but they don't ache.

Yesterday was day 3 of Covid. Needed to do something to feel better about life. So I did your five minute walk in the morning and this ten minute walk in the afternoon. ( your first walking session). Coughing slowed me down a bit….. but I did them. And feel much better this morning. So thank you ladies! And so glad you’re my exercise buddies. 🥰❤️😻

Such a fantastic workout. No equipment, no jumping, no inane drivel & " sponsorship ". Calm voice, pitch perfect music and a good mix of moves which gently challenge & are fun along the way! I have been exercising with your workout and it find it more enjoyable than anything else I have done. It is comforting to see you work with your lovely Mom who allows those of us up in years not to be intimidated by young, strong trainers. No matter what age, it is great to be able to move even if it is a little less strenuous and slower than most people. I thank you for creating a gem for all of us seniors. I’m 72 yo. I’m taking a few minute break at the halfway mark of this video. My 1st time. I broke my foot 10 weeks ago & the rest of my body has gone downhill fast due to the immobility. Doc says I’m only halfway healed, so I knew I couldn’t wait to combat my knees & back & heart all being painfully effected & needed to maybe walk, but weather doesn’t yet permit. Then I found YOU. Thank you so huge! I’m excited & hopeful now.

I am so glad that I found your video. I am 77 and I try to walk about 3,000 steps per day, but now that it is getting cold, I can do this indoors, 3 separate times during the day. I love the pace. You and your mom are so cute together.❤️

Having done aerobics, yoga, ballet, running, etc in the past, and then having several injuries & surgeries, I'm now an elderly weakling. I keep looking for elder exercises, but so much of them are a bit too hard for me now as I have restrictions on ROM plus strength issues. This looks perfect for me! Glad i found this,i,m 57 and no athlete,i usually walk daily around 2 miles but we have heavy snow today in the South of England so i dont want to be slipping as i have had a back problem for over 20years now.This is just right for me,i,ll be doing this again tomorrow,many thanks for posting.

I had abdominal surgery two weeks ago and can't exercise (though walking is ok and recommended). You guys are a lifesaver, and your mom really motivates me. Let's go to the hotdog stand!

I started working out with you and your mom a month ago. I had open heart surgery last november and was told to do cardio rehab I am 70 years old. I told myself to save the money. I found you on utube. I have done a 20 min workout once a day sometimes not often maybe twice. I don't seem to be loosing weight. I eat basically salads with chicken and other sorts of meat. Do you have any suggestions for me? Am I doing something wrong? I really get a good workout with you.I work my heart up pretty good.
