    I bought my TJ with the sole intention of LS swapping it. After building a few Jeep inline stroker motors I will NEVER waste the time or money on an LS swap. My TJ is built exactly like a friends , the only difference is his has a Corvette 5.7 LS , cost $10,000 and a hundred hrs to build, and mine has the original engine built and stroked to 4.6. They run side by side on the drag strip and mine makes torque much lower in the rpm range which helps offroad. I didn't have to run adapters, piggyback or stand alone ecm's , don't have packaging problems, cooling issues, and I can run my original air box instead of a crappy open element filter that should never be on an offroad vehicle. Unless you are running tons and 40" tires or larger there is no reason to LS swap , unless you just like wasting time and money. There is also no better feeling than blowing the doors off a V8 swapped jeep with a inline 6 cylinder at the dirt drags.

    How come non of these conversion videos on UA-cam address the transmission mount, driveshaft lengths, etc?

    • @jeepspeedshop
      @jeepspeedshop  5 років тому +3

      We build the 6l80 transmission mount adapter and reuse the TJ rubber mount, Like on this Jeep we put a Dana 44 in the rear and a slip yoke eliminator. On a TJ we never reuse the stock drive shaft in the rear, we do reuse the front drive shaft.
