I owned two of them, graduated in '93. The last '85 was built with all Ford go-fast internals and 4.10 8.8" rearend. Fun times.
The hellcat looked like he didnt leave hard at all and then when he noticed the mustang trying to race him, he stepped into it a little.
hellcat never hit it hard. maybe very late. hesitated after the start too. it was probably set up and the hellcat driver thought he was gonna pull out too far and ruin the video. it was definitely set up anyway, obviously, because your buddy doesnt just happen to be ready to film you pulling up next to a hellcat...but the race result probably was as well. fox body beats hellcat is good for lots of clicks. 866,000 of them so far. i dont care which car wins there, but the hellcat was clearly not being run full steam.
@@patrickrushbrook4523 I have a GT500 and if I smashed it on street tires with or without heating the tires up, I might as well be racing on ice. Probably the same with the hellcat. Most foxbodies are rolling around on drag radials and the only thing they are designed and/or setup for is keeping the rear tires hot while trolling modern muscle cars that make as much HP from the factory as their last 2 motors combined.
@@panthersblow it looked to me like the mustang was on street tires, which would have made this even less believable. It's all set up anyway. Clickbait.
@@patrickrushbrook4523 yeah, you are right. To little sidewall and too much squeel.

Seeing an old foxbody gap a hellcat is about as satisfying as watchibg a dude with an old wasr outshoot them Gucci AR boys

Thats the best mustang ford ever make🔥🔥
I love how he was half throttle until he hit 2nd. Love to see the power progression

I love the old Fox bodies. They're so rare now
Tell me about it I have a 94 cobra that’s built with a vortech v2 supercharger set up and I daily drive it and I’ve tried to trade it even straight up to even a decently stock 5.0 fox body or even one with upgrades and no one wants to trade or even sell them unless they need $15k in body work etc lol
I just bought myself a stock 93 for 11.5
slow tho...
but I always get ppl talking 2 me about it 😃 I recently got an h pipe from the headers back. Catless, with super 44s
Not rare... Just in everyone's garage.... Like mine
One of the best years of the mustang
Exelent example of built versus bought.👍
Damn!! That Hellcat just went viral (for losing)! Smh…I love it when the underdogs win! 😁
It's a 5.7 not a hellcat
@@TMGDaysteedzy23 aww…..🤣😂😂🤣😂 let the man live! 🤣🤣 If he wants it to be a Hellcat it’s his story and he can tell it how he wants to. 😆😂 still was exciting to see!
@@TMGDaysteedzy23 that fox body is a lighter car and you can hear it was built not stock.
@@glennanderson5335 Finally someone with some sense and speaking facts!
Amazing shifting from the Fox. :)
What a gorgeous old Fox Body! Although, I can't help help hearing "🎵 Rollin', in my 5.0 with my rag-top down, so my hair can blow...🎶" in my head.
One Driver and One Owner. Props to the stang!
The foxbodys only weigh about 3,200 lbs. 1,000 lbs weight advantage! It's crazy how heavy these new muscle cars are
They're pigs. I still have 2 fox cars.
😁
@@xmo552 nice! I'm looking for a SN95 Cobra, 96-98

Ford Racing High Performance the Best Engines
Yeah boy! That’s what I’m talking about. Gave him the jump too! Miss my foxbody.
Nothing like a car shaped like a brick with a screaming cammed engine, nice trans and brakes that work when you eventually Eff UP!.
Hell yeah.
"he was trying to race?" - Hellcat owner
Nice try lol
Never underestimate a fox body.
This is the DEFINITIVE 'Stang generation! Ford Pinto size and weight with semi-aquare-cut lines and angular windows. It's rather like an Ariel Atom that has a close-cabin body with doors and can seat 4!
I miss my 87 mustang gt! Had to sell it for a surgery that got botched so that was even worse! That thing was extremely fast! The only thing it didnt have was forced induction
Had to sell my 86 gt cause jail.only 475 hp but 3200 lbs and 11's
i love the color "matched" body panels
Buddy in the mustang must have to wear Parachute pants every day just to have enough room for that giant hammer he’s got down there
Cool as hell... man the options on what you can do with a 302 foxbody are endless.. My preference is the 346 stroker on a solid bottom end, decent heads, aggressive cam, 9 inch rear, good gears.. "Downshift n disappear"...
fuknArite
I got a 65 fairlane 347 done up right with gears and the good stuff. Many have been humbled by it. Many have turned off the road after being beat and slunk away.
347*
why are ppl sayin the hellcat wasnt even tryin u can see he was like he was moving fast WTF get over it the stang got him thats it
Bcuz they're butthurt!
Hellcat had traction control on. As an avid stream racer I can tell...
@@ryryy1980 right, stay mad cus ur favorite car on forza 4 lost to a 30yo car.
I honestly don't think it was a real HellCat. And other people here, some of which are HellCat owners, say this as well.

Those 86 to 89, 5.0 Foxbodys ain’t no joke.
They go all the way till 93 tho
@@wpboss9805 from what I know, the 86 to 89 was the fastest. I never owned one but I drove my buddies 87 and it was fast.
I owned both of these cars, 92 notch back 5.0 supercharged, and a 2017 challenger hellcat beand new, loved both, hellcat more of a thrill...mustang didn't get a whole lot of looks or respect from younger crowd...it was a much better sleeper for sure!
Foxbody more satisfying to drive though. Nothing beats the driving experience of an older car
On a random summer day at a random time not too long ago, I had an older elementary or middle school kid roll down his window and asked me to do a burnout at the light. I was happily obliged.
Old school still rules!
I've been a Mustang fan since I was a kid. Their sneaky. Can't tell which one is fast and which one isn't. F$@# them hellcats. Lol
LOVE those FORdS! Nothing better than a Ford!
Man the Fox body is sooo dope. I really like the look of it. Especially the ones like this with the recessed lights.
Due to fuel prices today I'll stick with my 90 EF9. But yeah man if you can afford the gas, this is a sick sick sick ride.
60%car,40% driver, = proof
And bro gave him a 4 ft head start , respect ✊🏽 🔥💯
That's a sick fox body, always loved that body style! Nice race.
Hellcat was in ECO the whole time 😂

Yea my mustang was on Eco mode too lol

The 1987-1993 GT was rated between 205-225 HP, depending on model year. The Hellcat makes at least 707 HP. Throw enough money for mods at a 1965 VW bug and it too can beat a Hellcat.
